dover, 78. cape may, 75. will also, 76. sunny skies a beautiful day, believe it or not, it actually gets warmer tomorrow. it will be a nice weekend. we have changes in the seven-day forecast as we are tracking another coastal storm that will move in monday night into tuesday, the potential is there for heavy rains. i'll talk about that in the seven day when he step back inside in just a bit. eva. >> the investigation continues this morning into a deadly crash involving a set at that bus, a woman exer -- septa bus, a woman and her son were crossing the street. >> reporter: it's a tragedy that no young child should endure, seeing a parent die. a young mother and her young son were crossing the street as the septa bus was making a turn on

to washington when the mom and son disetlely got in the path of the bus. >> the bus was in the motion, i suspect based on what i understand they knew the bus was in motion and they tried to outrun the bus as it was making its turn. >> reporter: the mother fell under the front tire and became entangled under the bus, the boy was struck, but is expected to be okay. but his mother's injuries were too severe, she died at the scene. police say the boy stayed by his mom's side trying to do all he could to save her life. >> this little boy watched this happen to his mother and tried render aid to her, when the police officers arrived she found him sitting with her. >> this was the route 27 bus involved in the incident. accident investigators with the philadelphia police department and septa are conducting an internal investigation. they are interviewing the bus driver.

no passengers were on the bulls at the time of the accident. there was a third person who was attempting to cross the street with the mom and son, they are also speaking with him. as for the 8-year-old he is recovering at chop. in south philadelphia, sharrie williams channel 6 "action news." new this morning, gunfire on the street in the strawberry mansion section of philadelphia has left one man dead. the action cam was on the scene after 1:00. the 2900 block of west oakdale street. this is where someone shot a 39-year-old man in the head. the victim with a pronounced at temple hospital. police have not mated any arrests. -- made any arrests. a 61-year-old man is fighting for his a life after a shooting in the juniata park section. the happened after 9:00 p.m. on the 1500 block of east luzerne street. police have no suspects for

motives in that shooting. police arrested a suspected car thief after he led them on a chase through several philadelphia neighborhoods. the 20 minute pursuit came to an end in kensington. the suspect bailed from the car and tried to fake out officer walking down the street talking on his cell phone. close to 50 people prayed and marched for aisha abdur-rahman in the logan section. she is the 15-year-old delaware valley charter studentle killed by a stray bullet outside of einstein hospital on monday. police announced the arrest of the star football player from father judge accused of directing darian person to shoot at the location. community members prayed for the family and called for an end of gun violence. >> our hearts go out to the family of aisha abdur-rahman and all the those in the

philadelphia area who have lost young people. >> gibson has been charged as an adult for murder and conspiracy. 37 accused drug dealers are off the street of chester and the city has helped to keep them locked up possibly for life the suspects are rounded up in a citywide sweep yesterday morning, federal agents made the arrest. the feds plan to prosecute the alleged dealers under stiffer penalties. >> people were afraid to walk out their doors or sit near windows, afraid to let's their kids come outside. they didn't know if they were coming out and finding are there car with the windows shot up. >> the alleged ring leader donald lomack is still on the run. a respiratory illness is suspected in the death of a preschool student in mercer

county. new jersey health officials have sent samples in the cdc to find out if the illness is entrovirus 68 which has sickened children in new jersey and 21 other states. the preschool classroom is being sanitized as a precaution. a child tested positive for entrovirus 68 that can cause mild to severe illness. a lot of people have been praying for leah still the 4-year-old daughter of devon still. leah is recovering at chop after having a cancerous tumor removed. her dad posted this picture on thursday after being wrapped in a handmade quilt the designer of

>> an on a uber driver has been arrested in san francisco. he attacked the passenger with the hammer. the 26-year-old driver hit him in the face with a hammer during a dispute over the route the driver was taking. the driver for the ride sharing company picked up three passengers from the bar tuesday morning. when one of the passengers questioned the route the driver was taking the driver stopped and told him to get out and the driver took out a hammer and hit the man who questioned the man.

police arrested egyptian immigrant after a passenger accused him of groping her. he reached under her blouse and touched her. orlando police say the suspect was unaapologetic. in his country the woman dresses that way, the victim did, she is asking for it. he has been charged with battery and did not have a criminal recordment. a postal worker has been charged with hording 67,000 pieces of mail. he stashed the mail in his brooklyn apartment. he was arrested after a supervise noticed the mail piled up in his car, some of the mail dates back to 2005. his lawyer said his client has been suffering from depression. he has been released and told him to cut down on his drinking. well if you live in

until the latter part of october. you have to go west or north over the next couple of weeks to enjoy the fall foliage which is starting to get going. it's about a week behind. the satellite and radar shows nothing out there at all whoever else we have clear skies. we can extend this out into the midwest. there's not much to talk about, because the jet stream is all the way up here. that jet acts as the storm track. that will take all the storm systems up into canada. you notice moisture buildings across the gulf coast state. later next week we have a chance of coastal storm develop running up the eastern seaboard. the potential is there for a miserable day this up coming tuesday with rain and potential for wind. in the meantime what to expect this weekend. high pressure in control both today and tomorrow, that means a lot of sunshine and warm

temperatures. highs around 82 today. 83 sunday. monday, cold front approaches from the north. lots of weather behind the front. temperatures in the 60s up flue here. it's still to our north, so monday is still a warm day, but with the increase of clouds it will be cooler than what we see today and tomorrow. the future cast shows as we get into monday, the clouds will lower and thicken, eventually giving way to rain as we get into tuesday morning, all depending on the track of the coastal low. if it hugs the coast it will be wet, if it gets out to sea, it will be cloudy. today, 79 degrees, gorgeous, sunday, 80 degrees, mostly sunny.

radar. as you can see there's not much going on. we have moisture down off the carolinas. we have the weather that's developing over the past couple of weeks it's a snow-lovers dream. we've seen a series of coastal lows off cape hatteras all had the potential to bring snow if it were january or february. the one we saw thursday developed here and it came up the coast. assuming we would have had a cold source funnel in that cold air high pressure here, each and one of those storms over the past two weeks probably would have brought snow. it's interesting to see the pattern develop. the question will that pattern continue into the winter season. it's too early to say what will

3:00 p.m. believe it or not it gets warmer as we head into sunday. right now we're forecasting 83, i could see where it's 84, maybe higher. sunday is ten degrees above average in not higher. monday, we cool down with a high of 76 degrees. this is not an indian summer. i've seen this thrown around on twitter this morning. indian summer is an unusual warm spell during the fall months after the first frost. we have yet to see our first frost in the delaware valley. it's a warm stretch of weather but technically it's not indian summer. i wound mind seeing indian summer during the month of october, but right now it's not indian summer. we'll talk about the coastal system that's on the way next week in the seven-day forecast. >> a young boy is in the hospital, his mother is dead,

both were hit by a septa bus in south philadelphia. the initial indications is that they were virms of victims of an tragic accident. the mother was hit and died as the bus turned on to washington. the bus driver stopped and is talking to police. no passengers were on the bulls. a 73-year-old grandfather picked up his grandson from football practice but never made it home alive. an alleged hit and run suv t-bonedded car in east mount airy. the suv driver and the passenger took off leaving the grandfather dead. the his 13-year-old grandson was hurt and is expected to survive. police caught the driver and passenger nearby. it is suspected they used drugs or alcohol before the crash.

there's an arrest in the killing of an 15-year-old student who was an innocent bystander. police arrested a 15-year-old boy who happens to be a star high school football player. dann cuellar has the details. >> we need your direction. >> yes father. >> we can't do this without you. >> reporter: after praying at the very spot where aisha abdur-rahman died so tragically of all places in front of einstein medical center. a group of leaders and friends of the family march to delaware valley charter where she went to school. >> we want to see the violence stop. >> reporter: the group was mindful that just a few hours earlier a second young man 15-year-old a star running back from father judge high was arrested. he directed the 19-year-old darian person to shoot a number of people who gathered at broad and olney and later in front of

four people killed in the crash were members of the team. the crash happened late last night on internet state 35 south of turners falls south of oklahoma city. the bus was taken the players from north central texas college back to the campus when it hit by a big rig truck. the truck crossed the median and slammed into the bus. there were other injuries, all were members of the team. police say suspected cop killer eric frein planned his attack for years. investigators found expensive internet research how to avoid policeman hunts on the hard drive. officers searched the abandoned buck hill inn, but there was no sign of frein. many living near the search area are in fear. >> i don't go out of my house, i don't go near the windows, because this could happen in a
