and it brings about the humid air running into the chillier air. what we see this time of year are strong cold fronts that come south, and the cold fronts always produce severe weather. along with stop signs blown down, damage to businesses and people without power. and hundreds of flights in the midwest canceled. the emergency officials in dallas took to twitter explaining to you the weather shifted some of the focus away from the first ebola case diagnosed in the u.s. as the weather gets cooler in the east it is heat wave season in southern california. the region already dealing with a drought navigating temperatures topping 100 degrees. the los angeles school canceled outdoor activities for the fernando valley. and the water park staying open for thes first time in october.

swoop just getting a live partner so to speak. an eagle working with the team. he has overcome tough challenges. he is a beautiful bird. his name is noah and featured at all of the home games. when he was eight weeks old he fell out of his northwest and had brain and eye injuries. he went through rehab for jeers but it was determined he could not be released in the wild and that's how he ended up in the care of the zoo in norristown. now fans can look for him at the link during the football season. >> he goes onto the field. he is there for the national anthem and then he appears at various times throughout the game. so we are thrilled because we can then talk to the fan base about wildlife conservation and the eagles. >> so there are actually eight bald eagles on exhibit at the

hospital at the university of pennsylvania for treatment. you can imagine the traffic on martin luther king drive is stopped. and please avoid this area if your headed out right now. other news tonight, three children are hospitalized with what would be the enterovirus d68. children's hospital of philadelphia alerted the c.d.c. that the patients are suffering with muscle weakness in their littles and their mri's show spinal changes. further testing is now being done. ali gorman is live with more. ali? >> and monica, this the c.d.c. has been asking health care providers to be on the look out for patients with that criteria. now there are three at the children's hospital. the question is why? dr. bandwell is chief of neurology at the children's hospital.
