teenager is in serious condition after being stabbed in the stomach across the street from philadelphia police headquarters. the action cam was at the scene, franklin square park at #th and rails -- 8th anticipate race. two men confronted the 18-year-old at 12:30. one suspect stabbed the teen and the two men ran off. the wounded teen is recovering at hanheman. camden county police say someone opened fire on a patrol car. the action cam was in winslow township. new jersey. a police officer was on routine patrol when a bullet hit the windshield of his patrol car. he called for assistance, dozens combed new brooklyn park in the surrounding area but did not find a suspect. two people fled a home in astin, delaware county.

the safire started on norman street around 4:20. the cause is under investigation. a teenager is lucky to be alive after she was rescued from the mangled wreckage of her car following a crash along the ask can. her life is forever -- the schuylkill river. her life is forever changed by the accident. annie mccormick has the story. >> reporter: hours after the crash, crews removed the wreck that careened toward the schuylkill river trapping the 17-year-old driver inside. >> it was a tight fit. everything smashed around her. she was scared, talking, but scared. >> reporter: a cardiac icu nurse happened to be driving by. >> there were a bunch of people that stopped and everybody was looking over the railing, it was missing. >> reporter: you jumped into action? >> there was another doctor

that was there helping her. >> reporter: a woman visiting from new orleans jumped off her bike and jumped into action, too. the driver told the nurses she lost control. police believe the teen was traveling eastbound on martin luther king when she crossed the westbound lane heading toward the river. her suv did a 180 and slammed through the guardrail flipping several times resting on the banks of the schuylkill. the single-vehicle accident shut down both lanes narlg traffic across the -- snarling traffic across the city. police officers and fire and marine removed her with ladders and a rope before transporting her to the hospital. amazingly nobody else was hurt including joggers bikers and vehicles that normally fill the roads and sidewalk at that time.

jersey have confirmed that a young boy who died last week tested positive for entrovirus 68. health officials confirmed he had a case of the virus, but are not sure that's what killed the boy. american while there are two new confirmed -- meanwhile, there are two new cases in new jersey that brings the total in the state to 9. at children's hospital in philadelphia, three children are hospitalized with what could be the virus. the patients are suffering with muscle weakness and their mris are showing spinal changes. the hospital has alerted cdc and more tests are being done. the virus has hit 40 states and linked to four deaths. >> you might see 3 to 8 children over the course of 12 months, to see 3 in a short amount of time is unusual. >> doctors don't know whether

north and west. it will be the coldest air we've seen in 6 months. it moderates and is out of here after 24 hours, it's not going to last long, but it will be chilly. i'll have the details in the seven-day forecast when i step back inside and dry out. >> new information about a fiery tragedy on i-95 in wilmington. a jeep cherokee was trying to get around a slower car when it lost control and went off the interstate. it hit a tree, the trash caused the cherokee to go up in flames killing the 36-year-old man in side. it happened in brandywine hundred. a minivan crashes into a parked tractor-trailer at a rest area in delaware. the minivan landed on its side in newark. state police say the driver lost control while traveling north on i-95 around 2:30 a.m.

the minivan rolled over several times eventually hitting the tractor-trailer that was stopped fortnight at the rest area. the couple inside was trapped and had to be rescued from the minivan. both were taken to christiana hospital, but expected to be okay. the defense has the case in a double murder trial involving a baby and her grandmother in montgomery county. the accused representing himself. david henry has the latest from the trial. raghu yandamuri's fate is in his own hands as the defense takes over. but it was his own words that landed him here in the first place. >> we have his own words in a signed statement and his own words from the video that he agreed to do with detectives. in that video he demonstrates how he did it, he is accused of killing 10-month-old and her

grandmother. he planned to ransom the baby to pay off gambling debt. he left behind ransom notes and confessed and led police to the body in the basement of a buildings in the apartment complex. before the prosecution rested its case, they use raghu yandamuri's concession again, in it he told detectives where he hid the jewelry stolen from the grandmother. he has since recan'ted the confession. he claims he was forced to participate in a kidnapping scheme with two strangers. >> all we know are the names of matt and josh. that's what he mentioned in the opening. >> reporter: how did these two strangers come into his life? >> i don't know i'm sure he'll explain that on monday. >> reporter: he is getting advise from two lawyers, but doing all the talking in court.
