>> it is now, 4:30, matt o'donnell is off this morning, eva pilgrim is joining us. >> we'll have more on our top stories this morning, but first let's head over to david murphy for a check of our early monday morning forecast. good morning, david. >> reporter: good morning, guys we're off to a clear start off the reason, but it is chilly across the delaware and lehigh valleys, as well. there are clouds to the west of us, also rain we're losing that on radar over the last hour, that's back by pittsburgh will not be an issue for us until tomorrow. it's possible the northern and western suburbs get a shower tonight or overnight.

we're starting out brought. it's on the cool side across the region. we have temperatures up to 50 degrees in philadelphia. down to the 40s elsewhere. millville, new jersey, 39. remember at this time of the year and morning these temperatures are on their way down for the next hour, hour and a half before they turn around. it was chilly and today we're on the cool side. 43 in reading, 45 in wilmington, 41 in trenton. and 56 in sea isle city and on the boardwalk in atlantic city. that 39 in millville, kind of an indication of where the more rural areas are, probably still headed, i could see areas in the berks county and lehigh valley getting down into 30s before we turn around. 47 degrees by 6:00 a.m., 48 by

8:00, toward the end of the bus-catching period. if you're dressing the kids a jacket or sweatshirt this morning, the breezes are not that strong just yet, but they will pick up particularly after sunrise, so a hood might not be a bad idea. after school t-shirts because we'll bounce they say numbers up over yesterday. 9:00 a.m., we're in the 50s, we'll have plenty of sunshine. noon, 64 degrees. so getting a little bit better by noon, so the breeze will be building in, there could be clouds and sun, by this afternoon 3:00, we're looking at 71 degrees, a lot of sunshine mixing with clouds, and by 6:00, 65, the high will be that 71-degree mark at about 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. milder this afternoon later on across the delaware and lehigh valley. and sun glass weather to start

officials with their concerns this weekend, ely waller 2k50eud from entrovirus d68 -- died from entrovirus d68 on september 26. the entrovirus d68 is common affecting 10 to 15 million people a year according to the cdc, but the "d" 68 is among the most dangerous. he did not have any preexisting medical conditions, but his condition worsened rapidly. he want to bed and the next morning he died. he was a beautiful mix of eagerness of hes -- hells -- hess instancy. another boy has come down with

>> good monday morning to you, taking a live look sky6 live hd at atlantic city, you are probably bundled up under your blankets this morning, it was a chilly one last night. >> i had a sweater, i want back inside and got a coat. you may be doing the same. let's go over to david murphy good morning, david. >> reporter: all right, guys we are off to a chilly start across the region. you can see that storm tracker 6 live double scan is dry. no precipitation as you step outside for your morning commute that's good. we are at 350 degrees in philadelphia. most suburbs are in the 40s, millville and central south jersey have dipped into the upper 30s. the wind are on the calm side and the pressure is 30.01 inches

and that is steady right now him i'm not sure if we have sky 6 if we do altake it, if not i'll continue. there's sky 6 we have a nice picture of center city. you can see across the region right now we're looking fairly tranquil the winds not all that strong just yet. as we take a look a little bit later on into the morning we'll see the breezes pick up across the region. the camera is not bouncing around all that much. satellite showing we have cloud cover out to the west, we'll begin on the sunny side, there are showers out by pittsburgh, those will be falling apart as they try to head east today, late tonight there's the possibility of the northern and western suburbs seeing that. expect a sunny start and the clouds filtering at the at timee

go through the day. the northern and western suburbs have the best chance of building additional cloud cover in, but by midday we're fairly bright out there. the clouds in and out most of the day. we'll call for a mix of sun and clouds at times. there's a little bit of precipitation by 5:00 p.m., it's well out by state college, but not an issue for us. we get into 10:00, most of us are dry and overnight perhaps a sprinkle or shower building in the far or northwestern suburbs. the day planner we'll start out cool, 8:00, 48 degrees, the suburbs in the low 40s, maybe holding on to the upper 30s in a couple of outlying rural areas and the pine barrens and areas north of the lehigh valley. by 8:00 you're chilly, 11:00 you improve to 60 degrees which is

around where we are for a high yesterday. we'll get breezy in through here. 2:00 we're up to 68. the high of 71 we'll hit that around 3:00 p.m., at 5:00 p.m. we'll be back down to 67. sun and clouds, breezy conditions, but milder than yesterday. if you have toddlers at home today you packed the orderly kids off to school, you're going out to the playground, keep in mind it will be breezy, sun and clouds, 60 degrees by 11:00. if you hold off until 2:00 you're up to 68 still heading for that high of 71 around the time the kids get home from school. 68 in allentown, 69 in reading, 0 everywhere else, including up and down the i-95, 71 in trenton, 71 in trenton him we'll bounce back to 70 in millville, as well. cape may, new jersey, 6 the high in atlantic city is 70.

in the heart of delaware, dover gets up to 70, as well. sun and clouds, and breezy conditions out there. future tracker 6 shows you tomorrow we have a few clouds building in as the morning goes on. by 6:00 there's the possibility of a sprinkle or shower up north or west of philadelphia. again, we're talking tomorrow morning during the rush hour. today looks like a day with more clouds and maybe sunny breaks, 6:00 we may have clearing, tomorrow night, 10:00, 11:00, more showers are possible and it looks like some of these might be coming in through the overnight hours and getting us wet, might be damp by the wednesday morning commute. i can't guarantee that. hopefully it will be out by then. monday, 71 is the high, tuesday, 71 is the high, wednesday night, we'll have a chance of showers coming tuesday night spilling

>> reporter: welcome back we're taking a live look right now at the schuylkill expressway this is just past conshohocken. you see the flashing lights even at this early hour we have a disabled tractor-trailer and fuel spill and it is significant at that. it is blocking the right lane, police are on the scene and clean-up crews on the scene trying to deal with this at this early hour. if if this stays out here, it will cause substantial delays. this is eastbound toward

conshohocken. you can see one lane getting by, a disabled tractor-trailer, a giant fuel spill, as well. the cleanup crews are out here, they have the flares, you see the slow traffic. volume is light, if this stays out here it will be a problem. here's what you want to do if you're in the area. head to ridge pike, route 23, conshohocken state road, route 30, lancaster avenue, the schuylkill eastbound past the curve that disabled tractor-trailer out there early with the fuel spill blocking the lane with only one lane getting by. even though it's early you have to watch that on the schuylkill expressway those delays would catch you up early this morning. it's not too bad just yet with light volume. if this stays out here, it's a big problem for the morning commute. a serious accident in westville, gloucester county, almondnesson road is closed at delsea drive

that's route 47. they have investigators out there on the scene, if you're in the area, use route 45 that's known always gateway boulevard in the area. police may be out there a little longer, this is a busy area, at this point that remains closed. in cherry hill this is 70 eastbound adams field road a problem here, as well. police activity blocking not one, but two lanes, the right lane and center lane blocked in cherry hill as morning progresses would be busy, expect days in that area, as well at haddonfield road 70 eastbound at haddon feet road police activity causing a problem this morning. let's go back outside live and check on our camera. this is the ben franklin bridge at this point the vine is clear near the bridge we can see the ben continues to have the construction blocking the right lane, you want to watch for that

>> a pennsylvania state trooper will be laid to rest today following a funeral mass in philadelphia. david kedra was 26 years old. a long line of mourners made their way to the givnish funeral home. they celebrated the life of the trooper who was stationed at the skippack barracks and going to be married. he it was accidentally struck in the chest by a gun that went off at the training complex. a motor cycle officer was on the way to trooper kedra's

42. 41 in glassboro, 40 in buena. 39 in ham top, 55 next to the warmer ocean water. in the state of delaware, 43 in hockessin, 46 in smyrna at this early hour. as we head out the door to start the bus or start the car, chilly and clear, breezy later on, this afternoon after we dress the kids in the sweatshirt or jacket this morning, we're back to t-shirts for a little while as we getting into the low 70s. 53 degrees by 9:00 a.m. noon, 64. 3:00 p.m., 71 degrees that's the high, it will get breezy, sun and clouds. by 6:00 say so long to the 70s as we are back down to 65 degrees. as we look at the airport today no major issues up and down the east coast.

so we have green aircraft along our major destinations, chilly up and down the east coast and chicago where the temperatures is 49 degrees, orlando, milder as you head to florida, this morning. it's a good idea to check with your airline as you head to the airport in case there's a an issue. karen rogers joins us with an update on traffic. you were talking about a tractor-trailer. >> reporter: this is monday morning you want to make it to work and get your week started and we're starting with problems on the schuylkill expressway, near the curve. it's early enough we're not seeing major problems, but if it stays out here, kernal -- certainly you'll expect problems. this is the schuylkill expressway past the curve eastbound. you see the tractor-trailer and the flares set up. it's a disabled tractor-trailer, but it caused a significant fuel

spill. that's the issue this morning. we have it blocking one lane, and one lane getting by. over the past 15 minutes we're seeing slower traffic move through than earlier. this is one of the first places where you see volume this morning. they have crews on the scene they are trying to do the cleanup in the area, if it takes a while, as it might with the significant fuel spill out on the road. this will be a problem for the morning commute. you have to keep an eye on that. let's talk about the other areas you can use. use ridge pike, route 23, conshohocken state road, lancaster avenue or route 30 instead. the problem is eastbound on the schuylkill expressway past the curve, exit 332. you can already at this early hour see the area of yellow on the maps. it's showing slowing in that area even now with the light volume out there. as the morning progresses this could be an issue for the

morning commute. i'll be helping you throughout the morning. the northeast extension southbound between the lehigh valley and quakertown exits we have construction it's blocking the right lane, one lane blocked a little bit of slowing. it's early in this area, not a big delay there. in cherry hill we have police blocking the right lane and the center lane 70 eastbound at haddonfield road. you want to watch for this. i would expect problems traveling in this area with two lanes blocked police activity early. westville, gloucester county, shutting down almondesson road at 47. it's an overnight accident but we have crews on the scene causing the problem in gloucester county, new jersey, westville. stick to route 45.
