kidnapped. sharrie williams is the only reporter on the scene at trenton headquarters with the breaking details. sharrie, what do we know? >>reporter:rick, the search is on for the missing 5-year-old. it unfolded at 8:00 at the 5:000500block of brunswick aveny street. an adult was in the vehicle and got out the vehicle. went inside of a place of business in that area. leaving the 5-year-old in the vehicle while the adult was away. they believe that a woman walked up, got into the car and drove off with the 5-year-old in the vehicle. her name is janina davis. she is 5-year-old. it happened after 8:00. the keys were still in the

vehicle. the vehicle was still running when this person hopped in and drove off. we know that the vehicle in question that the police are looking for. we'll give of that information. it's new jersey tags with the licence plate of 866ebc. and that is new jersey licence plate 866-ebc. it's a ford escape. the new jersey tags and the 5-year-old is still in the vehicle. she is unaccounted for. we spoke to the lieutenant moments ago as they continue the investigation. >> there was a 5-year-old child inside a stolen vehicle. the vehicle was parked outside with the keys inside. we believe that a female suspect jumped into the vehicle and stole the vehicle with the child

inside. >>reporter:so this is an urgent matter at this point. we know that trenton police are involved in the search. they called in the state police to help them and child abduction services as they continue the search. the 5-year-old we have the picture. a woman walked up and stole the vehicle as it was parked with the keys still in it. the adult in the vehicle got out and left the child unattended. the police say that is not their focus at this point. their focus is to bring the girl home safely. live in trenton, sharrie williams, "action news." thank you. wwe have breaking news the murdr of a baby and her grandmother. they are showing the police how he did it. he changed his story and said he was not guilty. a jury did not buy it. they have given him the death sentence.
