america as the ebola virus spreads ever so slightly. >> storm tracker 6 live shows the rain is moving out of the region, accuweather has the call for the morning commute. >> good morning, 5:30, october 16. let's go over to david murphy with the accuweather track and matt pellman is taking a look at the wet roads.eather track and >> reporter: good morning, everybody, storm tracker 6 live double scan is doing a great job yesterday and last night and this morning. the rain is departing and we can see philadelphia is in the process of drying out. i'll caution roads will be wet and in some cases the drains are trying to get rid of the high water in poor drainage areas. the heaviest band of rain is pushing to the east of trenton. in and around trenton you may be looking at high water, because that was a heavy line of downpours that came through. burlington county improving. as we look at the wide view we see clearing to the west. it does look like eventually we'll see sunshine work its way

back in. out to the west additional showers may pop through later this afternoon. but those are few and far between. temperatures are a little on the cool side, but not bad. 66 in philadelphia. 64 in allentown. low 60s in wilmington and dover. 63 in sea isle city and atlantic city. as we head out the door to catch the school bus, expect temperatures to hold in the mid 60s with areas wet to the east and northeast. kids if you're on your way to school. 66 degrees on your smart phone right now if you have the storm tracker 6 live app. as we come through the day, 65 by 8:00. 70 by noon, 72 by 3:00 p.m. you can use the app to track the spotty showers when you get out of school this afternoon most of you will stay dry, though. that 72 will feel pretty nice. >> reporter: tests today on the black board, it's daunting. kind of like the morning drive that will test drivers'

patience. what a mess we have. on the schuylkill expressway between montgomery and girard we have a bad accident involving a vehicle that's on its side. they were letting the left lane squeeze by for a little bit. all eastbound lanes of 76 are shut down, westbound the left lane blocked with the emergency crews we'll be watching this closely. this morning stick to the river drive and the mlk and he kelly. take it easy with the wet leaves as you round the corners. the vine street expressway accident cleared out. i-95 northbound near girard there was a broken down vehicle. that's gone. but southbound we've had several broken down vehicles because of a problem with the grate leaving a hole in the roadway. the crews are out there taking out the right lane, we're seeing slowing on southbound i-95 through the work zone. 295 the crash is gone. there's a crash on 42 we'll talk

about that and the schuylkill expressway situation in just a few minutes. >> we'll begin with a developing story, two armed robbers held up a convenience store near harbison and torresdale. the pair managed to get away with the entire cash register and fled on foot. >> a jail house fight in philadelphia could lead to a federal lawsuit gains a prison guard. new video shows him roughing up an inmate. katherine scott is live in the satellite center with the full story. >> reporter: this incident took place last month now there's talk of a federal civil rights lawsuit being filed against the city and the corrections officer. cameras captured this last month. the officer punching the inmate while he was handcuffed. >> there's 15 close-fisted punches at short range while

mr. wiseback has the prisoner in a head lock. >> reporter: a prison report indicates that he was being taken to the infirmary to get his eyes washed out after purposely clogging a toilet and being pepper sprayed. with his hands handcuffed behind his back he was controversy powered. >> we entrust people who are arrested in our society to these institutions and to the personnel in these institutions. >> reporter: the officer claimed he threatened him and spit in his face. >> if you look at the video, you can see there's no reaction that someone inflicted spitle in his face or the facial area. the guard was suspended for using excessive force and been placed in a different unit.

katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> the action cam was on the scene of a drug raid in the city's somerton section. police hauled away five people in handcuffs. the raid took place on 600 block of avon street. they found narcotics inside the home. >> the second nurse from texas who tested positive for ebola is eving treatment at emory university hospital. >> reporter: good morning, tam, now that we know two people contracted ebola while working at the hospital, health officials are stepping up their efforts to contain the virus. vincent walked off the plane last night after hitching a ride arriving at emery university

hospital. she is the second nurse to catch ebola after treating thomas eric duncan. the associated press roberted she had close contact -- reported she had close contact with duncan. vincent flew to cleveland and back to dallas before she knew she had the disease, the cdc admitted it errorred -- errorred giving her permission to fly with a fever. >> she should not have traveled on a commercial airline. >> reporter: even though the cdc maintains the level of risk of the 132 passengers around vincent is extremely low, air travelers are uneasy. >> is it safe to get on any of these planes going anywhere. >> reporter: meanwhile, another of duncan's nurses remains at this texas hospital her

currently. we look at future tracker 6 we'll see the rain spin on out of here the next hour or so. by the time the sun is up, we'll see a few breaks in the clouds at 8:00, but we should be drying out. later in the afternoon we're expecting the return of sunshine. but at the same time we're on the look out of one spoke of energy that comes through with a a couple of scattered showers. these will be short-lived even if you get a burst of steadier rain. a lot of you won't see that this afternoon. generally speaking it's a nice one today, 65 by 8:00. 68 degrees by 11. we spend a majority of the afternoon in the low 70s, high of 72 hitting at 2 and sitting on that at 3:00 p.m. high temperatures across the region, even. 70 down the shore, low 70s everywhere else along the lehigh valley. hurricane gonzalo is back to a

in the work zone at i-95. and there's one in chadsford 202 northbound watch out for that, as well. >> we're following breaking news in washington state. police arrested a man who they say fired at police stations and patrol cars overnight. the burst of gunfire was the culmination of a police pursuit. the suspect and one officer were injured, but it's unclear if they were shot. >> there's new information on the e-mail scaldings that has led to the -- scandal that led to the resignation in pennsylvania. the police justice of the state supreme court confirmed that justice seamus mccaffery was the source of the pornography. the state's high court said it will be up to mccaffery to decide whether or not to step
