the weekend, i'll have those details coming up in the 7 day. >> reporter: as you take a live look at the airport. that's southbound traffic heading into delaware county. no problems right here. you can see a good shot of the roads which are clear and dry, too. 309 fort washington near the pennsylvania turnpike, traffic here very light, so no problems. overall looking at the big picture on the blue route, schuylkill expressway and i-95 in good shape at this hour, earlier with problems on 202 shut down at main street. everything is open and clear right there. we have details coming in on the scent in frankford. it was a vehicle that ran into a septa pillar. everything seems to be minor in the area. other than that you're good to go matt and tam. >> thanks, karen let's begin with our developing news story, a police chase in montgomery county ended with police officers pulling their weapons

at a busy intersection. katherine scott is live near the scene in norristown with what we know so far. >> reporter: matt woe know that one person was hit by the gunfire and taken to the hospital. no officers were injured in all of this. this still remains under investigation. we're waiting to hear details from authorities. you can see that the intersection which was a crime scene for much of the night is now reopened. traffic is getting through. the tractor-trailer involved in the incident was towed away from markley and west main streets in norristown. and emergency vehicles cleared out about an hour ago, in that tractor-trailer you can see there are bullet holes in the windshield on the drivers side. this all happened around 11:15 last night. we're hearing that the tractor-trailer was driving erratically all over the road. so police were called in, a chase ensued, shots were fired into the cab. one person was hit and taken to the hospital. there's no official word on the

severity of the injuries. police are at the hospital. there was damage to several people here, you can see shell casings in the street. investigators from norristown, police and the county were here for hours overnight, and, again, we're waiting to hear more details from investigators. we're hoping to hear more as the morning goes on. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> developing in delaware, "action news" has learned that two men were killed in this head-on collision in newark. the action cam was along the scene the 200 block of polly drummen hill road. the 18-year-old driver of an audi lost control and the audi slammed into the chevy suburban and flipped over. the audi drive and passenger in the car was pronounced at the scene. the 48-year-old man driving the as you other car is in the hospital

with injuries. nina pham arrived at the national institute of health. here she is in dallas before leaving for maryland. the move was made because many of the dallas staff members are in isolation. 75 people cared for thomas eric duncan who died from ebola. in washington, d.c. a congressional committee grilled cdc director tom freeden. he allowed the second nurse to fly on a commercial jet before she was diagnosed. >> my understanding that she did contact cdc and we discussed with her her reported symptoms. my understanding that she reported no symptoms to us. >> freeden called a travel ban from west africa could backfire by encouraging people to try

boy we had enough rain wednesday into thursday morning. i think we deserve dry weather, right? we look outside, there's the ben franklin bridge we're seeing stars over the ben franklin bridge, and elsewhere around the region. we'll get sun and clouds and overall a good looking day. 58 degrees in philadelphia. as expected the numbers are dipping down into the 50s just about everywhere. it will be another hour or so before we start turning the numbers around. the satellite and radar imagery shows you it's a good morning to get the shades ready heading up and down i-95 or out the pennsylvania turnpike or any other area roads. the clouds are thinning out a little bit and we're expecting sunshine. in allentown we're going for a high of 68. i apologize i did not update that. there will not be a shower around, it will be a mixture of clouds and sun. down the shore we'll have clouds

in norristown. just before 5:00 a.m., the tractor-trailer involved was hooked up to the tow truck and towed away from the scene here. and in that tractor-trailer you could see bullet holes in the windshield on the drivers side. this all happened around 11:15 last night. we're hearing that the tractor-trailer was all over the road that it it was driving erratically and police were called in. and then there was a chase, shots were fired and one person was taken to the hospital. investigators from norristown police and the county were here for hours overnight. this investigation is on going. you can see shell casings in the streets. a number of emergency vehicles on the scene as they pieced this together and gathered information. no officers injured, one person taken to the hospital hit by the gunfire. we're waiting to hear more from investigators as to what exactly

50s. hurricane gonzalo is a category four storm on its way directly to bermuda later on today. looks like the strongest winds by 11:30 will be around the island. even as early as 1:00, 2:00, it will be building in. the saturday afternoon the winds are dieing down. at that point the damage is done, i think they could have property damage in bermuda. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, partly sunny and pleasant. 71 degrees is the high. tomorrow, breezy and cool, clouds increasing at times during the morning into the afternoon. 68 degrees is the high, breezy conditions building as the day goes on. behind the front, windy and chilly, high of 56 degrees on sunday in philadelphia. we're up to 60 on monday, it will be very cold to start out monday morning. probably be wearing that fleece, maybe the winter coat monday morning out on the terrace.

route 100 shut down in lee high county in both directions, that's a problem this morning. let's look outside and check on some of the other incidents, this is the blue route at baltimore pike. that's northbound traffic a disabled vehicle up ahead on the right-hand side on the shoulder causing an issue out here, but slowing between mcdade and media bypass. a little slow on the blue route northbound. you can see southbound slow, as well right there. him let's look at the big picture, slow speeds on i-95, 29 miles per hour at cottman, 14 near girard. you've got the normal volume there. 15 on the schuylkill expressway as you travel from the boulevard to belmont. 23 miles per hour eastbound around the curve, so a little slow there, as well. i want to bring right now some of the visibility reports. we've been talking about fog in parts of the region. it hadn't been a problem at philadelphia international, if

police had received calls that several vehicles were struck near swede street. an officer saw the tractor-trailer speeding and pursued. the suspect refused to stop and ran a red light and hit a guardrail. two norristown police officers approached the suspect's vehicle from the front, ordered him out of the rig. the suspect refused to exit the tractor-trailer and drove toward officers. out of fear for their safety, the officer fired three shots into the windshield striking the suspect in the arm. the injuries are not life threatening, no injuries to police officers. >> reporter: 202 wide open, i-95 southbound is jammed, this is a live look at the ben franklin bridge jammed from cottman to girard, no accidents just a slow-go, 30 minute ride from woodhaven to the vine. lower macungie township, route 100 closed in both directions,
