at a busy intersection. katherine scott is live near the scene in norristown with what we know so far. >> reporter: matt woe know that one person was hit by the gunfire and taken to the hospital. no officers were injured in all of this. this still remains under investigation. we're waiting to hear details from authorities. you can see that the intersection which was a crime scene for much of the night is now reopened. traffic is getting through. the tractor-trailer involved in the incident was towed away from markley and west main streets in norristown. and emergency vehicles cleared out about an hour ago, in that tractor-trailer you can see there are bullet holes in the windshield on the drivers side. this all happened around 11:15 last night. we're hearing that the tractor-trailer was driving erratically all over the road. so police were called in, a chase ensued, shots were fired into the cab. one person was hit and taken to the hospital. there's no official word on the

severity of the injuries. police are at the hospital. there was damage to several people here, you can see shell casings in the street. investigators from norristown, police and the county were here for hours overnight, and, again, we're waiting to hear more details from investigators. we're hoping to hear more as the morning goes on. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> developing in delaware, "action news" has learned that two men were killed in this head-on collision in newark. the action cam was along the scene the 200 block of polly drummen hill road. the 18-year-old driver of an audi lost control and the audi slammed into the chevy suburban and flipped over. the audi drive and passenger in the car was pronounced at the scene. the 48-year-old man driving the as you other car is in the hospital
