we have the clouds fighting the sun. we'll have mixed skies throughout the reminder of the day. but the big story is the drop off in temperatures and the gusty winds. the numbers are 15 degrees colder than they were yesterday at this time. 49 degrees in allentown. 40 in the poconos at this midday hour, 53 in philadelphia. sea isle city and avalon 54 degrees. satellite and radar we have clouds overhead. every now and then we see a few breaks, that's the way the rest of the day will play out. sun and clouds and blustery and chilly with highs in the mid 50s. with the winds it will feel colder than 56 degrees. it will feel like the upper 40s. as we set this in motion, let's go back real quick, i guess it's

not going to cooperate. there we go, all right. we set it in motion real quick when the numbers drop off tonight, so much we have freeze warnings and frost advisories going into effect in parts of the area. i'll show you will the locations and have the chilly numbers in the seven-day forecast. >> a woman is in critical condition this afternoon after being hit by a car while walking across a busy street in burlington county. the action cam was on the scene at route 130 had and chester avenue in delran. the woman was struck at 6:30 as she tried to cross 130. she was taken to lourdes hospital in critical condition. many lanes of 130 were shut down but since reopened. police are looking to for a robber who held up a 7-eleven store with a machete. it happened on north 5th street in east oak lane. a mantua mask armed with a

machete entered the store and demanded money. he took off with cash toward cheltenham. new at noon, philadelphia police are investigating a pair of shootings that they believe may be related. police tell "action news" one victim may have been shot in front of a church on north broad street in nicetown. the victim ran for help and was taken to the temple hospital. another victim was shot at broad and wyoming. else in critical condition. police are investigating. the dallas healthcare worker who was isolated on a cruise ship because we handled an ebola lab specimen is off the ship. blood tests just completed show she has no signs of ebola. the two nurses who treated thomas duncan are in separate

hospitals. others in direct contact with duncan have remained healthy. meanwhile, can canada has a experimental vaccine and sending it to africa. 800 vials will be sent in three separate shipments. canada announced last month that it started clinical trials on the vaccine with results in december. >> president obama discussed america's response to ebola in west africa. mr. obama pushed back against calls for a travel ban in west africa where an outbreak is believed to have originated saying a ban would worsen a problem. >> trying to seal off an entire region of the world if that was possible could make the situation worlds. it would make it harder to move

art. both the run and walk took place on matter matter. martin luther king crierve. drive. the event raised thousands of dollars for aids in the philadelphia area. speaking of running, my girlfriend ran the atlantic city marathon this morning. i said how does it feel down this? she said it doesn't feel bad. >> reporter: of course you just ran 26 miles. for everybody else it's chilly and it continues to be chilly this afternoon. we have a combination of and seven clouds. it's a nice looking day, temperatures are cooler than yesterday at this time. we're at 53 in the city. dewpoint has dropped to 33. of this is an important number, more than likely several locations will hit this overnight tonight for a low. it's going to get chilly across parts of the area. that will allow for patchy frost to develop. winds out of the northwest at 22 miles per hour that's a sustained wind or constant wind.

we have gusts close to 30. temperature 29.98 inches. this time yesterday we were closer to 70 if not a degree or two higher. 49 in allentown. 40 in the poconos. millville, 54. trenton, about 50 degrees and winds out of the northwest, 25 to 30 miles per hour. these are gusts, so you combine the wind with the chilly temperature it feels like the 40s at this midday hour. we're not getting much help from the sun. you can see clouds across the mid atlantic and the northeast. that's the way the rest of the afternoon will play out. mixed skies, sun and clouds throughout the remainder of the daylight hours. that's the culprit, that's why it's chilly today. winds out of the northwest keeping the numbers down. the high works out to sea, it loses its identity there and fizzles out. it will allow this guy to approach from the west. this low will hit the coast. there's a block right here, you

can't see it when you look at the surface maps, if you look at a 20,000-foot map you can see the block taking shape here. this low will come underneath the block and sit there for several days, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, all three days could feature clouds and on and off showers. for the remainder of the afternoon we'll see the breeze which will english overnight tonight. unfortunately, though, that diminishing wind the skies open up and no clouds and the temperatures plummet. allentown, 34. reading, 37. lancaster, 36. millville, 38 there's going to be several locations that get a couple of degrees colder than that that will allow for the frost developing. 56 degrees that's the call from accuweather, sun and clouds, winds, wind out of the northwest 15 to 25 miles per hour with higher gusts. mainly clear and cold, overnight tonight, 32 degrees outlying suburbs, 38 for center city. the national weather service irbledz -- issued this freeze

street in fern rock. when firefighters arrived flames were coming from the first and second floor of the home. it took a half-hour to bring the fire under control. the home was a complete loss. 3 adults and two children were taken to the einstein for treatment and in stable condition. the cause is under investigation. this trenton, police are looking for the suspects in a deadly shooting. it happened at the intersection of nottingham way and mull berry street. the victim was found dead inside a car from several gun shot wounds. a driver is facing a long list of charges after leading police on a chase through several communities. the chase ended in chads folder at 1:00 a.m. police say he led officers on a 17-mile chase that started on 352 in media. route 1 south and back on to 352. in delaware state police searched by air and ground for a

driver who police say ran away from a crash leaving his passengers trapped inside the wreckage. this is all that's left of the car after the collision on southbound i-95 in another. the driver took -- newport. the driver of the other car was in the hurt. philadelphia police are investigating the shooting of a man who was driven to the hospital they say an automatic weapon was found inside the car. the 20 imrrld man was taken to the hospital at 3:00 a.m. he was shot several times and in critical condition. the women told detectives the shooting happened on in hunting park. police say a search of the carat temple hospital revealed an ak-47. philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's parkside sectioning overnight. the happened on the 4800 block of girard avenue before -- 3800

as ebola concerns continue to grow, all eyes are watching to see if an experimental vaccine will work. the 8 hundreds vials will be used to treat patients in west africa. meanwhile, the cruise ship carrying a woman who was quarantined docked in galveston texas. the good news the woman doesn't have any symptoms and bloody tests just completed shows she does not have the virus. >> to have a ship stopped for someone who has virtually no risk of transmitting this disease, it is an overreaction. >> now the two nurses who were infected with ebola after treating dunkin continue to battle the disease at two separate specialized hospitals.

show you what's going on this afternoon. it's windy and chilly and we're seeing sunshine, finally. it's not too terribly bad if we could only shut off that breeze. that's the view in wilmington. again, you can see the sunshine out there. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing salute nothing, so we don't have to worry about any precipitation. those of you that are seeing the clouds no moisture. we'll stay dry throughout the remainder of the afternoon. 53 degrees in philadelphia. dewpoint, 33. the windchill is 44 in the city. winds out of the northwest at 22 miles per hour. pressure reading under 30 inches. it's chilly north and west, allen be town, 49 degrees, 40 in the poconos with a windchill of 34. feels like i forget i believe was 42 in allentown. trenton, 50 degrees, millville, 54. sea isle city, 55 degrees. as you look at the satellite and the radar there's not much going on no organized areas of low pressure out here, except this

guys across the northern great lakes. him that's the area of low pressure that will set up shop off the coastline in the next couple of days. it will influence our weather once we get into tuesday and beyond. in the meantime, as you look at today, there's the high, this is providing us with the breeze, because it's kind of providing and joining force with the low right there. you get the winds tunnel effect. that's driving the cold air south. it's a breezy chilly day today. we get into monday, the high falls apart, the winds weaken. we'll not see the whipping breeze. we'll see an increase in clouds as the day wears on. there's the low, it will start to hit the coast. this moisture starts to blossom by the time we get into monday afternoon. we get into tuesday and wednesday, now there's a block right there. we'll put a h for high pressure system. this low wants to run north, but it's going to run into this high and sit here for days and spin
