kensington. >> some of us are waking up to a frost advisory and temperatures near the freezing mark. >> we have news breaking right now. firefighters are battling a fire at the somers point apartments in atlantic county, new jersey, right now. the action cam is on the scene, just sent this brand new video back into the newsroom. the multi-alarm fire caused a partial roof collapse in one of the building and 8 apartments have been damaged. no reports of injuries. fire crews credit a fire wall from stopping the blaze from spread further. stay with "action news" and 6abc.com for any updates as they come in. >> we have a preview of weather and traffic with matt pellman and david murphy. good morning, guys. >> reporter: take a look at satellite we had clearing croarvet. we had clouds and now we have clear skies breaking out. that helped the temperatures dip a bit. we're at 42 in philadelphia. check out the numbers in the

that we had by oxford valley road cleared out. you can see lingering northbound volume heading toward morrisville. the crews associated with the crash pulled away a few moments ago. but there's a crash to watch out for montgomery township along the pnc bank at welsh road. whitpain township at mount pleasant avenue between morris road and battles road. without for a crash close to the head nut along haverford road and eagle road. no major issues along the blue route and schuylkill expressway is clear thus far. in the great northeast we're seeing buildings southbound volume heading into the work zone by cottman avenue. it's crowded here and again southbound from allegheny to girard, just normal morning stuff along i-95. same situation on 42 in belmawr, camden county. buildings northbound volume as you come up from turnersville,

blackwood and deptford, so far we're not jammed. nydia? >> matt, thank thank you. we have brand new information on a developing story the man who was found by his girlfriend with two bullet holes in his head has been pro pronounced dead. the woman told police her boyfriend went to the store he didn't return. when she went out to look for him he had been shot. a robbery attempt turned into a police chase through two counties overnights. katherine scott is in wynnfield where the ordeal started. >> reporter: good morning, tam, the victim was looking at a car he wanted to by and then found himself trapped inside the car by the two sellers who wanted to rob him. it started on the 6000 block on

near saint joe's avenue. the victim wanted to test drive the car and that's when the seller and another man tried to rob him. the victim couldn't get out of the car, the car sped off with all three inside. the car lost control and crashed into a fence on the 1600 morocco of wycomb. -- on the 1600 block of wycomb. one of the suspects fled on foot, police did take the other suspect in custody. if you have any information on the whereabouts of the second suspect. we're live in win -- they want to hear from you. we're live in wynnfield. police are looking for the armed robbers who terrorized

employees at chickee and pete's. the bandits forced them to empty $16,000 from the safe. they ordered the manager and three employees into the freezer. the suspect got away with the cash and the manager's wedding ring. they tossed employee cell phones from the getaway car. new guidelines are going into place for healthcare workers handling ebola in the united states. two nurses in dallas contracted the disease while treating thomas duncan who finally succumbed to ebola. 48 people who came in contact with duncan are out of quarantine. officials say they are no longer at risk of having or passing on ebola. our coverage continues at 6abc.com. we have resources there for you to learn about the ebola virus, it's symptoms and how it spreads.

christmastime. fern hill road is closing in west goshing chester county. between turner lane and five points road, all traffic will be diverted. here's the ben franklin bridge news, each night this weekend starting at 9:00 p.m. they are closing the burlington bristol bridge until 5:00 a.m. the next morning. it was supposed to happen in september, it was pushed back. you want to head to the turnpike connector bridge. 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night it will be closed. the better news is on the ben franklin bridge. yes this morning we have three lanes heading into the city. by wednesday morning you'll get the 4th lane back, it will provide major relief we've been waiting quite a long time for, tam and nydia. >> remains found over the weekend in virginia have not been identified as those as

from stopping the blaze from spreading even further stay with us with "action news" for the latest updates. developing overnight a test drive turned into a wild police pursuit in philadelphia and ended with a wreck in delaware county. katherine scott is live in wynnfield where all of this got started. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, philadelphia police say the victim wanted to buy a car, so he met the would-be sellers here, the would-be sellers turned out to be the suspects. this started in wynnfield on the 6000 block of city avenue around 11:00 p.m. near saint joseph's university and ended in landsdown where one person was taken into custody. the victim had spotted a car he wanted to buy and set up a meeting and connected with the seller, the suspect around 11:00 p.m. the victim wanted to test drive the car that's when the seller and another man tried to ro rob.

the victim couldn't get out of the car, the car sped off, all three people were inside. the police tried to pew 00 pursue him, and the car lost control and crashed into a fence, one suspect fled on foot, police have the other one in custody. the victim was not hurt. if you have any information on the suspect police want to hear from you. >> philadelphia police are investigating two robberies at a pair of 7-eleven stores a few miles apart from one another. the first holdup happened on aramingo avenue in port richmond, the thieves got away with 60 bucks. a seconds armed robber hit up the 7-eleven on the 9000 block of frankford avenue in torresdale at that time the bandit grabbed 20 dos and ran away. officers don't believe that the cases are connected. >> the first people who had

contact with ebola patient thomas eric duncan are out of the quarantine. and officials say they have quote, zero chance of having eebola. duncan is the patient who passed away at a dallas hospital. amber vinson's family has released a statement suggesting they ignored any of the government provided protocol. more police officers are on patrol outside poconos mountain east high school. a woman said she spotted accused cop killer eric frein outside the school. police are calling her tip highly credible. >> he had actually turned toward me and that's where you can see the mud on his face, you

it looks like it will be a bright start before clouds come in later on. a couple of highlights to the forecast. we are looking to the first frost of the season with much of frost advisories and freeze warnings in effect. and over the next day couple of days we transition to cloudy and damp weather. my twitter follower, peggy in conshohocken has 33 degrees, satellite and shows you how clouds cleared out to be able to allow the surface warmth to be lost. temperatures are plunging right now we look for them to turn around past 8:00 and beyond. 42 degrees by 8:00. although a lot of suburbs will be in the 30s. frost warnings expire at 8:00. 51 degrees by 11:00. a nice high of 62 degrees pretty

>> welcome back, chopper 6hd is over the scene of this fire in new jersey. take a look this is atlantic, somers point apartments, this is the unit block of mays landing road. about two hours ago, a little less than that, fire broke out and it led to a partial roof collapse. we have southeastern smoke coming out of there. a lot of firefighters on the scene. it looks as though it is under control. nobody was hurt. this was a fire wall in place

cottman. you're hitting the brakes again past bridge into girard. normal morning stuff there. starting in 15 minutes in bristol township bucks county they will set up a new traffic pattern along bristol pike between green lane and levittown parkway. that on going work zone this pattern they are setting up today will shift traffic from the inside lanes to the newly constructed outside lanes and then this new pattern which is going to be set up today will stay in effect through july, get used to it. while we're in this neck of the woods, weeknights, this week they are closing the burlington bristol bridge for maintenance. stay on the connector bridget starts -- connector bridge, it starts at 9:00 p.m. wednesday morning the ben franklin bridge the 4th lane

the opera glorifies a palestinian terrorist who murdered a disabled passenger only a crews ship. a press conference will discuss a break in a robbery spree in northeast philadelphia. three suspects are under arrest. there were 14 business robberies. this past weekend a police officer stopped a car believed to play a role crime. one of the suspects was drive winning a gun and plastic inside the vehicle. the other two suspects were taken into custody elsewhere. >> breaking overnight, the bodies of several women are found in the midwest and their alleged killer has confessed.
