upper half. it was confusing. this guy was not startled by me. >>reporter:despite the eric frein sighting, they decided to open school but with a lot of security around a lot of the schools in the immediate area. there was a tremendous amount of police activity in the area. as far as we know right now, eric frein remains on the loose. thank you. a man attacked a temple university student in their apartment. one the victims told action that his roommate was sitting on the gront steps, two men approached him. they forced him into the home and demanded a safe. they tied up the other people inside of that apartment. several items were stolen from the home including laptops and cellphones. there is encouraging news in the battle against ebola.

ali gorman has that story. >>reporter:keep in mind there are two people infected with ebola in the united states. clearly there is fear. some decisions are made out of the fear not out of fact. two students are kept home instead of joining classmates. they were scheduled to start cool at howard okem elementary. they say that despite the fact that the students are symptom-free and not from an affected area, the parents opted to keep the students home past the 21 day waiting period. the students are from rwanda. the officials have not said who made this decision the school or the family. some parents that we spoke with
