hair shy of 5:30 on this thursday, tam is off, erin o'hern joins us, we have david and karen with weather and traffic. good morning.h weather and >> reporter: yes we do, on the big board we have storm tracker 6 live double scan. we have sprinkles and showers that are beginning to dive down out of the new york state. some of these are coming into berks county and pulling away from lehigh county. if you're lancaster county or western chester county you may pick this up quickly. trenton is on the verge of getting wet again. burlington county and ocean county start to get steadier precipitation, most of this will pin wheel around the area of low pressure that's off the coast as the low pushes slowly past new england. most of this will be done in the morning. in the afternoon i don't expect quite as much. that's what you're looking at today, even when it's not raining it will be fairly cloudy. chilly in philadelphia, 53 in philadelphia.

51 in allentown. 53 in wilmington. 51 in sea isle city. you're not seeing a gust in new york, but you're seeing 21 in baltimore and there are sustained winds well in the teens across philadelphia and up toward north jersey. as we step outside to catch the bus, 54 degrees by 6:00. 58 by 8:00 a.m. mainly cloudy skies. if you're heading off to school or work. lots of clouds, 53 in philadelphia. on the storm tracker 6 live app. 53 by 8:00. perhaps some of you are seeing sprinkles or showers. 57 by noon. looks like most of the afternoon is dry, but we stay in the upper 50s with wind blowing. >> reporter: let's hit the roads right now. it's damp out here in delaware county. i-95 past the blue route that's southbound traffic moving okay at this point. the construction is clear, all laints open right there. -- lanes open right there. on the big picture, no problems on the main roads.

we have an accident, the action cam is live in wynnewood. we're seeing police on the scene. remington road is closed. they are waiting for peco to arrive, the problem is an overnight accident that brought down a pole and wireless. we've got the pole down and the wires down, they are waiting for peco, they have police on the scene. they are allowing for traffic as we can see live right now. stick to morris road or wynnewood or city avenue to avoid any problems, peco comes in we don't know if they will close anything down. we had an accident eastbound on the turnpike that cleared, the vehicle struck the barrier wall. a fatal accident approaching mid county, the accident investigation with this one has cleared, matt. >> let's get more on the deadly crash you just mentioned along the pennsylvania turnpike, katherine scott is live outside abington hospital where the injured are being treated. >> reporter: matt it's early on

in this investigation we're waiting to hear more details from police. we know that one person has died. four other people were injured. the injured were taken to abington memorial hospital for treatment. state police were on the the scene to investigate. police were letting traffic by, all lanes are open now. this happened around 12:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes near white marsh. there's no word on the exact circumstances of the crash. the accident involved a tractor-trailer and the passenger vehicle. the fatality was in the passenger vehicle. we don't know the nature of the injuries. we are told the injured are young adults stay with us with "action news" for more details, as we get them we'll bring them to you. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank. developing overnight three philadelphia police officers were hurt during an take-down in center city. police used a taser on a man outside a 7-eleven store.

overnight sprinkles and showers. be careful if there's leaves on the roads because they can get your tires slipping and sliding. the wind are 17 miles per hour so we're on the breezy. the sustained winds are 21 in wilmington. 25 in in allentown. you can swap out these numbers throughout the morning and afternoon. it will be blustery out there. future tracker 6 shows you over the next several hours we'll see sprinkles and showers making their way toward philadelphia and the northern and western suburbs. by noon, i can't rule out additional showers by noon. looks like it stays mainly cloudy with perhaps a couple of sunny breaks here or there. but we're drier in the afternoon than we are general inly in the

karen? >> reporter: the roads are wet, but the winds are helping to dry them out, but we have more rain coming in, so you've got a lot going on. devon, chester county, approaching 252, traffic is clear, no problems, the overnight construction southbound approaching 29 is clear. traffic moving nicely here. we've had a handful of accidents, though, we want to bring in some of them, terwood road, a new accident coming in. we had a few accidents in the overnight hours with the wet roads. this is looking in wynnewood we've got one lane blocked, but remington road has reopened between route 30 and haverford road. this is an accident that brought down a pole and wires. we're waiting for peco on the scene that's happening at this point. one lane blocked. you might want to stick to morris road or wynnewood. construction on the northeast extension at lansdale has been

partially blocking the exit ramp. we expect that to be gone at any moment. looking at the commuter traffic report, not seeing too many issues, mount laurel, no problems there, the new jersey turnpike looking good. even though some of the places the rain is returning. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing that. the rain is coming in once again off the coastline as the wraps around this area of low pressure. so right now in our northern suburbs we're getting some of this, near belmawr, i-195. not far from trenton. it's wet in doylestown, 202 and the 30 bypass, coatsville, pots, route 100. as this continues to come in it's going to be wet during your morning commute. >> maryland officials are goig

public about a mistake, someone released rodriguez purnell by accident on friday. the corrections department is investigating the lapse in protocol. this is brand new video from ferguson, missouri where autopsy results from michael brown reignited protests. the results indicates the ferguson police officer shot the dean in the hand at close range. a medical examiner said there's no way to conclude that the injury to brown's hand meant he was trying to grab the officer's gun or if he was trying to surrender. >> new on "action news," a game of chance turned out to be anything but a child's play for a toddler down south. these are photos of collin lambert on tuesday when he got stuck in a crane machine.

burlington bristol bridge open to traffic will close tonight at 9:00. patco new schedules in effect dave. >> reporter: on storm tracker 6 live double scan we're seeing showers buildings down out of the north an east. some of them are passing through trenton and southern bucks county and southern montgomery county and philadelphia is starting to pick up this light rain, as well. there's a lighter shower in northern and western chester county pushing out of the reading and more action up in the poconos that may drop down later on, burlington county and ocean county starting to pick up some of that. as you're dressing the kids, we mentioned rain gear possible in the hours to school, but not on the way home. temperatures in time 40s in the northern western areas. in south jersey, low 50s and delaware. it's breezy today. if you're catching the bus or the el we'll move from the low 50s to mid 50s by 9:00.
