sun we are expecting this afternoon the numbers will skyrocket later on. 53 in philadelphia. 46 in the poconos. allentown, 48. trenton, 50. sea isle city, and the boardwalk in atlantic city, 53. lang 48. the numbers are fairly mild we're five to seven degrees cooler than yesterday at this time. that will not last long now that the sun is coming up here, we'll warm quickly. there could be a few high, thin clouds that build after 2:00, 3:00. we'll start out with abundant sunshine and high, thin clouds that's about it. quiet weather story we like that. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, high of 70. we should be around 63 or 64. earlier in the week we were stuck in the 50s and well below average and today we're well above average. next week, temperatures are way up, we're skyrocketing. indian summer is on the way.

i'll show you the pleasant numbers in the seven day when i come back in just a little bit. >> a man is recovering this morning after being hit by a baseball ballot and shot overnight. -- baseball bat, and shot yoacht. police are trying to figure out if the couple who hit him stopped him from breaking through their car. investigators say the 36-year-old kensington man was hit so hard with the bat that the bat broke. the man told officers when he tried to run away from the couple, the women pulled a gun and shot him in the left leg. the man is in stable condition. police say it looks like someone broke into a car on that street. the couple ran off. officers are trying to to find them. charges are pending against a man who robbed a donation jar in a south philadelphia wawa early this morning while sitting in a wheelchair. the action cam was on the scene of christopher columbus

boulevard. the suspect entered the store at 4:30 and snatched cash out of the jar the money ended up at $4. the man got on crutches and hobbled out of the store. a bucks county boy has been charged with assaulting a girl in class, yet that boy is still allowed to sit in the same classroom. valery rocket's daughter was assaultedded by a boy who is still in her class. >> she came home from school and the boy is in her class. she has to walk past him. she has to be at one end of the class and she will be at the other.

>> reporter: the pennridge school district sailed they are aware of the charges filed in the case and there's no place for bullying or harassment in schools. two 13-year-old boys are facing charges in a student sex scaldings. investigators say they blacked mail an 11-year-old girl into a sex act earlier this month. the video was posted online. a delaware valley priest has been arrested for pornography, 55-year-old mark haynes has been arrested for posting images of young girls on his computer. he work in 8 parishes in the afternoon -- archdiocese since 1985. the ebola response in our

progress of that over the next several days. i'll talk about that in the seven day when i step back inside in just a bit. >> a man collapsed with several gunshot wounds in the backyard of burlington county. now, police are trying to figure out who shot him. the action cam was on the 200 block of green street in burlington city. someone found the wounded man in the back yard at 11:30 and called 911. the victim was flown to the hospital in critical condition. police say it looks like the man was shot in a nearby field and staggered to the backyard where he collapsed. if you know anything built shooting call police. -- about the shooting call police. one man is dead another is being questioned after a shootout on north philadelphia street. police found a man on north 4th street with a gunshot wound to the chest. he died at the temple university

hospital. another man walked into the hospital with bullet wounds to the groin and leg. witnesses say he was the person who shot the other man. more details are emerging about the teenager who shot and killed one student at a washington state high school and critically injured four others before killing himself. the shooter was recently crowned a homecoming prince. students say jaylen fryburg staired at his victims before he shot them. two of the victims are his cousins. one students who was grazed by a bullet spoke to report he he wes after getting released from the hospital. >> when when i fell over, i g, there was someone laying on the ground. i heard gun shots, it must have ricocheted off something. >> four shots went off, i thought it was firecrackers and everybody started ducking under the tables and everybody started screaming, run it's a gun.

scene of a shooting of 16-year-old boy in northern liberties section. it happened at 9:00 p.m. on fairmont avenue. police are looking for who men seen leaving the scene on foot. >> as the manhunt for accused cop killer eric frein continues a pennsylvania man is charged with providing police bad information on the suspect. he lied to police by saying frein asked him in august for a forged identity in order to enter canada. he made the false reports twice before admitting it wasn't true. frein has been on the run from authorities since the trooper was fatally ambushed september 1th in the poconos. another officer was injured. former philadelphia mob boss joey merlino is heading back to prison.

a federal judge sided with prosecutors saying he met a fell mobster in florida. he has 30 days before he reports back to prison for 4 months. a jersey man who admitted to killing a police officer back in 2012 will spend two decades behind bars. the judge sentenced timothy sidell admitted he slammed into reeves patrol car. reeves partner was injured in the crash. we are a week away from election day and democratic candidate for governor tom wolf is getting help from the president himself. the white house said it's part of a multistate campaign swing ahead of the november 4 election. wolf is challenging tom corbett
