members take on greater urgency as the end of the week approaches. >> let's find out about the fog with david murphy and karen rogers has traffic. good morning. >> reporter: all right guys we're off to a foggy start in parts of the region. there's the possibility it's dense enough where you want to slow it down, we're having problem with the big board, i can tell you the fog is dense half mile up to a third of a mile in spots. as you look at satellite and radar, you can see there's a break in the clouds every now and then out to the west. once we get rid of the fog we're looking at a partly sunny day. it will be cooler than yesterday. here's the visibility issues. right now philadelphia is sort of in a hole where we don't have much fog. that could change in the next half-hour. we have a half mile in wilmington and .3 in millville. down the shore we're starting to see the fog get a little bit thicker. cooler than yesterday morning,

43 in wilmington, 45 in millville. as we roll into the afternoon it stays cooler than yesterday. 48 degrees by 9:00. 56 by noon, 59 by 3:00 with the high of 60 around 4:00. karen, we'll have the mall wean call and changes just ahead. you talked about the fog we can see it in our traffic cameras. this is king of prussia the ramp 202, 422 and the schuylkill expressway eastbound. we had construction blocking the left lane but it's cleared. we have a good shot of the fog, you have to be careful for pedestrians, construction workerses and deer this time of year. we have an accident involving an overturned vehicle right at the boulevard northbound at oxford circle. we had a disabled vehicle that has cleared in abington.

northeast extension northbound between lansdale and quakertown. you want to watch for this. this is construction cruise blocking the right lane. the construction the ramp from lansdale to the northeast extension southbound. so a few issues at this early hour. we have construction crews, a whole lot going on. >> a woman was rescued from a smashed suv after a violent crash on the boulevard overnight. the force of the crash left one suv on its side, look at that, wrapped around a pole. police say one suv t boned another near oxford at oxford circumstanceful. the 40-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition. contract negotiations will continue today between he want at that and its young members

the talks are more urgent now that the union have authorized a strike. katherine scott is live at the frankford transportation center. she's got an update. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, a decision about whether or not to strike could come as early as tomorrow. but a source close to negotiators tells action in a progress is being made. commuters at frankford transportation center and around the area would feel a whole lot better when there's a contract. today septa negotiators will be back at the bargaining table. they promised not to strike this week and will give 24 hour notice for commuters. a strike by the union will shut down the subways, trolleys and buses. 4700 workers have been working without a contract for the last seven months. local 234 said the final sticking point is pension reform. commuters are ready to see this

officer and took off dragging the officer a few feet. a second officer opened fire. nobody was hit and the officer was not hurt. after a brief chase the driver crashed at frankford avenue and convent lane. the man was involved in an abduction and assault monday night. a driver left a path of destruction in overbrook at lebanon avenue at 7:30. a driver hit a parked suv from behind knocking it into a telephone pole. the pole toppled over and smashed into two more cars. police are looking for the driver who took over. >> it's 5:06. police are hoping that newly released surveillance video of a weekend assault of a man in south philadelphia could lead to a couple of arrests. it happened around 3:00 a.m. saturday morning on carpet street. a woman with the baseball bat

hit a 36-year-old man. when the victim tried to get away the older man shot him twice in the legs. the victim had drugs in his system and no longer cooperating with police. some residents thinks the victim knows his attackers. >> doesn't look like they stumped upon him in a vigilante type of action. looks like they were waiting for him to come along. >> residents say there have been car break-in recently, but they have not said this attack was in connected to this activity. >> top officials from jefferson and university hospital traded baseball caps at a news conference and then they got down to business to sign a letter of intent. they are merging to create a new model of health care. if the merger is approved the

a couple of other issues we have construction on the northeast extension northbound. we have an accident at elwood road at allentown road. a disabled vehicle from the ramp northeast extension southbound. so when you have fog, you don't need extra problems out there. someone is reporting a hazard on the road 130 southbound cinnaminson, new jersey. we've got storm tracker 6 live double scan showing us some of the areas where the fog is the greatest. you see this area of red that's double scan's way of showing us we have a quarter model visibility on 322, route 100 near pottstown, watch for this, the areas of orange it's a general wider area, half mile visibility. certainly reduced throughout the region, tam. a north carolina man is recovering in the hospital after being pinned under a car for 17 hours. police say the man was driving a car that was suspected in a

hit-and-run when it went off a road and plummeted about 80 feet. the man was thrown from the car. his legs ended up getting pinned under the car. a passer by heard him screaming. rescue workers were able to lift the car off the man. he has two broken legs. >> the from an giants world series win has been marred in the celebration by the bay, two people were shot. the giants beat the royals the hard way in kansas. this was the giants third series win in the last five years. ex-philly hunter pence wasp huge batting 444 scoring seven runs
