skies. for now, the visibility is low, where you have thick fog encircling philadelphia you might be catching drizzle on your windshield. 6 miles in philadelphia. not too far in northern delaware and the suburbs we have an area that visibility is below a third of a mile and very, very thick. we have seen the shore in and out of lower visibility, but right now four miles in wildwood and atlantic city. that's not too bad. you run into this stuff it's hard to see animals and pedestrians near the roads. 44 in allentown. 43 in wilmington. 52 down the shore. as we head out to catch the school bus or start the car. 45 by 6:00. 43 by 8:00 a lot of you seeing the fog. as we head back to class, 43 by 8:00. 56 by noon, 3:00 p.m.,

59 degrees with a high of 60 this afternoon probably hitting about 4:00. karen it stays cool for halloween, but doesn't stay dry. >> reporter: fingers crossed. we've been talking about the fog you can see it in spots, this is 309 approaching the p.e. turnpike. you have -- approaching the pennsylvania turnpike. this is ridge pike at nicer road watch for that one. construction blocks the right lane on the northeast extension northbound between lansdale and quakertown. we had an accident on elroy road in franconia township that cleared. a disabled tractor-trailer cleared on the ramp to the northeast southbound. that's cleared. another accident dekalb pike and morris road. the ramp from norristown to the turnpike, we have a ladder

partially blocking the ramp. we have a few things to watch for and with reduced visibility that's tricky. >> we have a developing story where two pets might have played an overnight role in a wreck. police say a pair of dogs in a car might have distracted the driver who collided with an on coming vehicle and then slammed into two parked cars. the dogs are okay, their owner is in the hospital in stable condition. septa's largest union said it won't strike this week, but a decision about when that could happen could come very soon. "action news" reporter, katherine scott has an update on how the negotiations are going live at the transportation center, katherine? >> reporter: a source close to the negotiators said progress is being made in the talks. the union workers left with

signs. commuters say they hope it doesn't come to that, because they rely on public transportation. today the talks will continue between union representatives and septa negotiators. on sunday, the union unanimous y voted to not strike and give the commuters 24 hour notice. the septa's largest union has been working without a contract for the past 7 months. the final sticking point is pension reform. the last strike was 2009 and many hope the deal is reached so they are not stranded. >> i don't drive, i would be a prisoner. us seniors have to get out. we don't get out if we don't have septa. >> reporter: and back here live at the frankford transportation center where you can see commuters are heading off to

week. officials are trying to get to quarantine a nurse after dealing with ebola. casi hickcox spent a night in isolation after returning from sierra leone. she will plan a federal lawsuit if maine does not lift her quarantine. pennsylvania and delaware have is a 21 damon torg program in place for -- monitoring program in place for people coming back from west africa. delaware health officials are monitoring 11 individuals who they say are considered low risk. >> david is here to tell us about the fog where it is and when it's going to get out of here. >> reporter: i'm going to show you a map in a couple of seconds. we are dry and there might be drizzle around where you have

fog. speaking of which there it is. storm tracker 6 live double scan with the fog function turned on. everywhere you see orange and red in particular, that's thick fog with visibility below a half mile and worse than that in spots. even areas in yellow have fog that could thicken. when you're driving around you slow it down. as we look outside, in philadelphia we have not a lot of fog and down the shore there's another spot where the fog hadn't been that bad. you can see the fair i say wheel on the pier. it's nice that they turn that light on to for us, it's a good way to gauge visibility. obviously it's nice down the shore. 43 degrees is the current temperature in philadelphia. winds are light out of the southwest at 5. another factor that helps fog develop. as we look at satellite and radar, the rain from last night is off the coast.

once we get the fog away we should transfer to partly sunny skies and you can see holes in the clouds out to the west, can't you? as we look at temperatures we'll remain cooler than yesterday. 43 by 8:00. 54 by 11:00. 2:00 p.m., 58 and temperatures are not going much farther than that. we're going for a high of 60 and back to 58 by 5:00. i have that always on day planner on the side of the screen in case you want to check out more specific dpeals -- details on where numbers are going today. 58 in allentown, 59 in trenton. 60 in spots all the way down to cape may and 62 in atlantic city. we have a coastal system that will not be that much of an issue for us, but we have another low pressure center to the west that will increase clouds, it will be cool, 569 degrees, looks like any rain

morris road in bluebell. an accident there. we have a ladder partially blocking the ramp, somebody picked it up. a vehicle ran off the roadway, limerick montgomery county, the details coming in at ridge pike at knifer road. a few problems out there in the suburbs. storm tracker 6 live double scan you can see the areas of red that's double scan's way of showing us a quarter mile visibility. sunny break the 322 along the pennsylvania turnpike. as well as route 100 near pottstown, a few areas you need to watch for. we've been talking about the fog, but the other weather issues is the change in temperatures, 47 degrees chilly in philadelphia. as you look at the temperature profile it's 20 degrees cooler in millville than yesterday.
