but it's snowing in south this morning. >> reporter: this is the same system that's bringing the snow to pourings of california line that, that's bringing us the miserable weather along the east coast. we have the winds whipping around and we have wave activity battering the beaches. storm tracker 6 live double scan we have a two-part system. the first one is toward the bottom of the screen. you see the white, columbia, south carolina reporting heavy to moderate snow. same thing with the smoky mountains and carolinas and tennessee area. all the temperatures have dropped into the 30s. for us we get closer, you can see we're dealing with mainly wet weather here. the only problem is, it is coming down at a pretty good clip and we're seeing ponding on the roads and fall foliage now starting to fall off the trees, you start to see the back roads covered with leaves. you do not want to jam on the brakes when we have this kind of

heavy rain with leaves all over the place. you'll go sliding everywhere. periods of rain push east west. by afternoon things will calm down and we'll see cloudy conditions and showers. coastal flood warning it extends from northern portions of monmouth county to the delaware beaches. we have a flood advisory for northern and eastern portions of atlantic county and southern portions of ocean county. we've seen an inch and half to two inches of rain in in a short period of time. we're seeing low level flooding and poor drainage flooding. be mindful of that. the day planner, gray and cooler with temperatures in the upper 50s, we'll have more on when it gets out of here, eva.

>> police are investigating a tragedy on the boulevard. a woman was hit and killed and the other woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. police have not said if they were in the car's path or if the driver is cooperating. police say this car hit a woman overnight in front of temple university hospital. the driver pulled into the hospital pavilion. the woman was rushed into temple in critical condition. initially police were looking for evidence that a second car hit the woman and fled. they now say surveillance video shows only one car hit her. septa and its largest union have reached a tentative agreement. the deal was announced late last night. it avoids a strike by bus, subway and trolley drivers. >> i'm pleased to announce that

septa and the twu have reached and agreement. >> reporter: a two year agreement will avert the strike of 4700 transit union employees. >> it was difficult, but we got it done. >> reporter: a long night of negotiations inside the wyndham hotel. it's been longer for the union workerses without a contract. and the riders hoping to avoid a strike. >> thank you to the ridders and the union and how it was worked through in a business-like manner. i think we got a good agreement. >> reporter: both sides wage increases are part of the agreement and the deal is fair. >> it gives us an opportunity, first of all we had too many

issues to deal with right now. if there was a need to have a strike we couldn't solve the issues in a timely fashion. i meant gives us an time to work over the next two years and solidify our concerns. >> reporter: willie brown said next friday he'll present to this union workers who have have a vote. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> philadelphia firefighters rescued a man from a burning home in port richmond. he was pulled from the floor of the 3,000 block of frankford avenue. the cause has not been announced. a accused cop killer eric frein sits in a jail cell this morning awaiting his next day in court for his preliminary hearing on november 12. frein did not enter a plea during his first court appearance. they found the alleged murder

change. they are looking for something a little more transformational. >> reporter: wolf plans to raise more money for education by increasing the state income tax for wealthier for pennsylvanians with the cut off for single filers being 70 to $90,000 of income. he would not tell us how much more. >> i don't know while be confronting when i get to harrisburg. i don't want to mislead people by being dishonest. >> reporter: the former secretary under governor rendell sailed that will allow him to lower property taxes and even up the funding of school districts across the state. wolf would eliminate the philadelphia school reform commission. >> i believe in local control. we have local control in every other school district this pennsylvania, but philadelphia. i think and this is not a knock on the good people in the src. they are trying to do the best

reporting moderate rain and heavier cells across atlantic and ocean counties in south jersey. temperatures on the chilly side. windchills in the 30s and 40s. philadelphia, feels like 38 degrees. same thing forral for allentown. lancaster, 39 degrees, stay indoors it's that kind of day. damp and rainy, 49 is the forecasted high. windchills will be in the upper 30s, low 40s. we're expecting gusts as high as 30 to 35 miles per hour. the winds pickup overnight tonight and into sunday. another quick reminder there's a coastal flood advisory up for the jersey shore and delaware beaches, goes into effect at 1:00 p.m. and expires around 7. it's mimicking the high tide. the areas prone to flooding, excuse me as i try to hold on to the umbrella. those are the areas that will

until brown presents it to union employs. there's a vote next friday. >> police said a man was shot in an attempted robbery, and police say the suspect wore a halloween mask. investigators say the suspect had a red halloween mask and hoodie. the victim was taken to einstein medical from. >> philadelphia police are looking for a gunman who opened fire on a home while the family was asleep inside. bullets riddled the home on the first and second floor. 3 adults and a young girl were inside the home in the logan section of philadelphia. the shooter now on the run, was armed with an ar-15 assault rival. police are looking for a

hit-and-run driver who ran over and killed three girls. the suv that hit them was found abandoned nearby. the driver and two passengers were seeing fleeing, but have not been captured. the fight against ebola, the number of those being infected by the virus would be higher were it not for one doctor in my nigeria who almost single handedly stopped the virus from spreading. >> reporter: in my gear, her sister -- in nigeria, her senior is seen as a hero. she prevent the spread of ebola and paid with here -- her life. >> she was very courageous, but unfortunately paid with her life.

stores, but argues complicated issues mean more time. >> we're going to have better roads and bridges which is attracting business, also, that's important to us, it will attract more businesses and jobs to pennsylvania. >> reporter: corbett uncapped the state gas franchise tax which groups claims violated his campaign pledge to not raise taxes, but the governor has held the line on state income taxes and warns his opponent will not. he won't tell you how much he is going to tax. in fact his plan if you look at it, we've counted up over $6 billion of additional spending. >> reporter: governor corbett correctly predicted that the inquirer would endorse neither him or his opponent. corbett said this will be his last campaign and he believes it will be a winning one. matt o'donnell channel 6 "action news." >> much more to come on "action
