and blowing everything away. we'll start with the wind gusts, this is the big story, current wind speeds 46 miles per hour the highest windy gusts has been close to 50. trenton, 41. 41 in philadelphia and 31 in millville. we'll see 41 in the poconos, mid 30s everybody else. later this evening, the winds will ease up a little bit, but it will be breezy, overnight tonight into tomorrow, you can hear the wind roaring right now. we're picking up a gust as i speak. we'll see this throughout the morning hours tomorrow. here's the system spinning off the coast of new england, boston you're changing over to snow. there's heavy snow in maine. they will see accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. as that system continues to strengthen and deepen the winds will roar. very winds that's the call -- very windy, that's the call from

governor chris christie with governor corbett in bucks county. with the clock ticking down, political star power takes center stage for both candidates. the mission to energize supporters. though president obama's approval rating in pennsylvania is 32%. wonderfully campaign hopes it will get votes in the critical philadelphia wards. he will be talking about his refusal to tax shale gas and his stands on abortion rights. tom corbett will be teeming up with chris christie they will be stopping at spring mill manner in ivyland in bucks county. both men will hammer home the

message that wolf has promised so much to so many he'll have to hike taxes to pay for what he promised. the fact that obama is in town not likely to go unnoticed by the corbett team. ads will air tonight saying that voting for wolf will have obama for governor. campaign spots are everywhere. if you take the two candidates and some of the independents organizations that follow the campaign they have spent more than $47 million for tv spots, 50,000 that ran here in pennsylvania about the gubernatorial race. that's a lot of money and a lot of tv campaign spots. as we said this is get out the vote time. john rawlins channel 6 "action news." >> we invite you to go to 6abc.com/election for profiles

of the candidates. a drive-by shooting leaves an 18-year-old in a critical condition. he was a passenger in another car on a north philadelphia street. the action cam was at temple university hospital where the victim arrived in a bmw after 2:30. the two windows were shattered by at least four bullets. police say the teen was sitting in the back seat of the car on the ten hund block of west -- ten hundred block of west tioga street. the wounded teen was able to tell the driver he was shot in the head. the car was rushedz -- rushed to temple where he was taken into surgery. a parent alerted authorities after their 13-year-old found a two inch long razor blade in the wrapper

of a miniature candy bar. >> a box culture knife fell out of it. >> i think it's crazy to go and ruin an innocent holiday and kids dress up, and you have to worry about razor blade. >> the child got the candy from a neighbor that's what startling to everyone. >> police said it is not clear if the candy wrapper was open and resealed and what house it came from. residents in tioga noticed a problem at 9:00. the building is at broad an eerie. officials from licenses and snmtions are on the scene. they say they don't think the building is in danger. collapsing, one person suffered a minor injury from the falling debris. the search is on for a man who assaulted and robbed a 74-year-old woman. burlington new jersey police say the city's cameras caught these

gusts, 46 miles per hour in the poconos, tropical storm force winds are 39 or higher. so we're seeing that right now. 41 in philadelphia. 41 reading, lancaster, 40. and 39 in wilmington. again, it's all thanks to this storm that brought the heavy rains yesterday. yesterday was a complete mess. this system is here to the north. they are seeing heavy snows in boston, ban gore and maine. the snow is accumulating quickly. they will see a good 3 to 6 inches out of there. portland to boston they are seeing heavy snow and 40 to 45-mile an hour winds. it will be interesting to see what it does to the patriots broncos game. most of the forecast models suggests the storm will be out of there by then. today the rest of the afternoon, winds gusting out of the northwest 20 to 0 miles per hour, maybe as high as 40 miles

to take them to the polls. the idea is to get supporters out there to get them to vote on tuesday. john rawlins channel 6 "action news." >> question about what caused a fire in west oak lane that badly damaged a home the fire marshal is trying to pinpoint what started the blaze. you can see the charred remains of the second floor at the intersection of 77nd avenue and north 18th street. firefighters were called to the home at 8:00 p.m. everyone inside managed to escape the burning home safely. a father and daughter were arrested for the brutal attack on a man in queen village. police say the man is in the mummers hall of fame. police released this video of the attack week ago yesterday. 62 carmin d'amato is a member of

the mummers hall of fame. his daughter hit the victim in the stomach with a baseball bat and as he tried to run away, her father fired a gun striking the man in the leg once. >> i'm glad that an arrest was made. >> police say the victim had drugs in his system and claimed he didn't know his attacker. there was a rash of car break-ins in the area, police don't know if the crimes are connected. fireworks are the reason for sparking a fire on a ride in disney world. officials say the fire may have sparked when falling fireworks ignited decorative material outside the structure. there were no injuries or major damage reported. 960 cruise ship passengers are returning to florida on a

different ship than the one they started out. the ship hit something shortly after leaving the grand bahama island on friday. passengers were told to put on life vests as the tugboat brought the ship back to freeport. the line added that the damaged boat might sink eventually. officials don't know what hit the ship. in portland maine. authorities don't know if the fire people exild killed in a -- five people killed in a fast-moving apartment fire were college students. two people were hurt and seven others escaped safely. the investigation into how the fire started could take several days. this week marks two years since super-storm sandy ravaged parts of the jersey shore.

mystic island was at or near the top of the devastated communities. nora muchanic has more on the rebuilding. >> reporter: on any street in mystic islands you can hear workmen hammering. it's the sound of progress. when sandy hit two years ago, the bay front section of little egg harbor was 7 feet under water. 4,000 homes were damaged. >> we're over 50% of the rebuilding. we're doing brett well. >> everybody is talking about how good things look, because we have homes going up, that's great. bus stop the reality you look around and there are more homes that are not done. empty lots and abandoned homes dot the landscape. some live in campers on their properties while their homes are raced and rebuilt. >> i have heat and air-conditioning and cooking facilities and everything else in there. >> it's a struggle i had to be out of my house for a year.
