♪ well, a good thursday morning, i'm reena ninan. >> i'm t.j. holmes. the woman who's kidnapping was caught on camera is back with her family this morning. >> carlesha freeland gaiter left a hospital overnight. the man is in police custody. >> investigators towed the car away from the parking lot they were found. it was kicked out by her during the kidnapping. we have the details on how investigators tracked him down. >> reporter: found alive. >> tonight the fbi and the philadelphia police department have great news. that carlesha freeland has been rescued. >> reporter: after being abducted just blocks from her home, the search is finally over. >> yeah, i'm sitting in my kitchen in front of me.

and told me i'm bringing your daughter home. i said, all right, he said, no, i'm bringing your daughter home. and he brought my baby home. >> reporter: the fbi had video of this man, caught on a surveillance camera in philadelphia the same day she was abducted. of particular interest, the walk. they hoped that someone would recognize him. she was forced into a car on sunday. that was caught by a nearby surveillance system. in just 30 seconds, she was gone. and eight hours later, more footage, from a maryland atm, where she lived until just a couple months allege. see that man, investigators say he's withdrawing cash from her account. >> it shows a man using her atm card. >> reporter: they spotted that man on tape inside this convenience store. with so many pieces of video, the fbi and local police honed in on clues early. clues that helped to bring carlesha home.

drink with him, but now he would enjoy some kentucky bourbon with the new expected majority leader. the beer summit, some are calling this the bourbon summit. >> for good reason. tahman bradley live in washington. thanks. and the outcome of a key senate race is undecided. mark warner leads by a few thousand votes. he has declared victory, but the results are not yet official. there's going to be an investigation also after 32 voting machines in virginia beach malfunctioned. they tried to vote for one candidate, but the machine chose another. we have learned that the u.s. has targeted the group in northwest syria. they are the first strikes since september. it was a small group of al qaeda veterans said to be in the final stages of planning a terror attack against u.s. and western targets. and new this morning, the drummer for ac/dc has been charged with trying to hire a hitman to carry out two murders.

phil rudd was released on bail after a brief court appearance. he was dish shelved and without shoes. this was in new zealand where he has a house. he was charged with possession of pot and speed. they have a new album this month. and the body of a movie executive missing for two and a half years has been found. hikers found gavin smith's remains north of los angeles. they have not determined the cause of death. his car was found in a storage locker owned by a drug dealer who is now behind bars. he was allegedly involved with the drug dealer's wife. and protesters covered part of the capitol building with graffiti in denver. it was the anonymous movement. one was arrested for threatening a police officer. and the lava from the
