and eastern pennsylvania and the rest of the evening. 58 degrees in philadelphia. 56 in wilmington, 57 in allentown. some of the perimeter areas were around the freezing mark at dawn, but no more. the winds are not that strong. right now they are calm in philadelphia. every now and then you see a slightly higher number like the 8 in wilmington. the general idea winds are light today. today's high is expected to be 61 degrees that's several degrees above average, so, good, the overnight low i should say is 44 degrees and that's several degrees above average, so, not bad temperatures for now. as we look at the current in connection with in the northern and central plains, the cold air is in the process of spilling into the dakotas and nebraska. spots facilitator to the south like dodge city and wichita and kansas will see the arrival of cold air.

million. >> reporter: a 911 call came in shortly before 4:00 a.m. for a woman passed out on the home on hidden hollow lane. a man answer the the door after briefly passing out. his wife and 7-year-old daughter was unconscious in the downstairs living room. they were trying to determine if there were carbon monoxide detecter also. >> also -- detecters. >> >> reporter: the high readings were found in the basement. fire crews vented the home to bring the level down. a pastor lives here with his wife and daughter and residents are going to check their own systems now. >> now we'll have someone come in and double check behind us, it's a dangerous situation. >> reporter: the battalion chief said because this is a single family detached home no other areas needed to be evacuated.

in sicklerville katherine scott. investigators are looking to what sparked a fire in chester. this is # hundred block of caldwell street. nobody was injured, but they are be lieuing for how the fire start. >> philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion just before sunrise in the city's kensington section. three masked men two armed entered the home at 5:30, still unknown what was taken. nobody was hurt during the home invasion. a lehigh university professor who was supposed to be conducting research for nasa has been charged with defrauding the agency. he is accused of wire fraud. federal investigators say he created a fake business to apply for grant from nasa and pocketed the money.

valley forge earlier. isn't that pretty, all the leaves are raked in valley forge. i guess they have been blown away somewhere. we're looking at fewer leaves on the trees especially with the heavy winds we had recently. no such problems today, the temperatures responding with all the sun, 58 degrees, the winds are calm. you should have a fine time being out this afternoon. 57 in trenton and 57 in allentown. we have hit 60 in spots like reading and millville. almost 60 down the pike in wildwood. cloud cover was trying to march in and there was too much dry air in place and the clouds evaporated. now we're looking at sunshine toward pittsburgh. allentown, a nice one, lots of sun in play, 60. that's several degrees above average for the lehigh valley. counts shore we're going for a milder high of 64 degrees. we'll see lots of sun, it will

delvin barns will return to philadelphia tomorrow to await his first court appearance on federal kidnapping charges. the hearing is scheduled for wednesday one week since his capture in jessup maryland. he is accused of kidnapping carlesha freeland-gaither. barns has been in virginia since his arrest to face charges in a separate abduction case. >> a faulty heater is likely the cause of a carbon monoxide leak that sent a south jersey pastor and his family to the hospital. the car came in around 4:00 a.m. on hidden hollow lane in sicklierville. that's where firefighters found the homeowners wife and child unconscious. crews measured co levels in the home that were 3 times the exposure limit. >> 900 parts her per million causes comma and convulsions in minutes. it's dangerous, the normal

comfortable. it's not a day you have to hunch your shoulders, you dress appropriately you'll be all right. 6:00. 51 degrees, we'll drop into the upper 40s during the eagles game. the cool air from the central states is on its way here. looks like we'll stay mild with highs in the 60s on wednesday and thursday, the average high is 57. thursday we'll be in the 50s and friday in the 40s all because of that big mass of arctic air that is now massing in places like grand forks and minneapolis and getting ready to march toward the south. as this continues to push toward the central states it will bring raw, very cold conditions to this portion of the county. as it pushes toward the east, it will moderate. you have the marine influence where the ocean water is not that cool and it does have a tendency to knock the cold air

18 degrees. the cold air comes into the central states and then shifts east, but it will moderate and not be as drastic a change for us, although we're looking at cold mornings coming up later in the week. but three nice days as we mentioned. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast starts out today, 61 degrees, tomorrow veterans day great for ceremonies in the afternoon. high of 67. we'll hold 65 on wednesday. there's some chance of fog developing overnight tonight. tuesday night there could be a drizzle, but it doesn't look like any major precipitation in through here. then thursday that's when the cooler air comes in. 51 degrees, by friday very chilly. 43, notice how we'll start in the 30s and wind up with a high of 43 and friday night and saturday morning we go below freezing across the entire region. that colder air is coming in. that 43 degrees high is 7 degrees below average for this time of year. 44 brisk and cold saturday not particularly comfortable.
