and women and also the eagles, i'm hungry for some stake with or without. it doesn't matter, david and karen. >> no kidding. that was nice game last night and it's really nice and i have been saying this since yesterday it's really nice with veterans day with the ceremonies that the weather is looking so nice. we're going to wind up with sunshine early. there's a little bit of cloud cover forming in some low levels and you might have some patchy fog early but that's going to byrne off. we'll start out sunny. later today we might filter in a few additional clouds. generally speaking it's going to be a pretty good looking day and it's going to feel g milder this morning than it was yesterday. 46 degrees right now in philadelphia, 39 in wilmington, still down around the freezing mark in allentown but there aren't as many spots that are down close to freezing thorn as there were yesterday. trenton up to 41, 39 millville, mid 50's right now down the shore and as we head outside to grab that school bus we've got 43 degrees by 6 o'clock, 45 by 8 o'clock. cool, mainly clear and like

yesterday light winds, so bundle up and put enough layers on you'll be okay. smart moon says 46 right now, 61 by noon and by 3 o'clock 67. that's going to be your high this afternoon and that is well above average. normal high today is about 10 degrees cooler than that. by 6 o'clock we're still holding onto the 60's. looks like another mild one tomorrow and then the cooler air starts to rush in to the region from the west. details on these numbers coming up. >> all right, dave. let's hit the roads n devon chester county 202 at the schuylkill paving blocking the right lane. see penndot arrow boards out here. also blocking part of the off ramp. watch for this as you're headed out. you can see those construction crews out there at this early hour. we've got a disabled tractor-trailer that's causing a problem. you want to look for in it king of prussia south gulph road at 202. it's blocking the left turn lane so someone stuck out there at this early hour causing you a problem there, too. on the big picture your speeds are in pretty good shape.

tacony palmyra bridge construction with restrictions continues for only about another half hour. so, look for that and we've got a concert tonight at 7:30 so once again congestion in south philadelphia. in abington there's a fire at a ymca. watch for this on old york road, it's shut down at susquehanna road. in this area stick to highland avenue and huntington road instead. matt and tam. >> thanks karen. mark sanchez and the eagles dominated the carolina panthers and you know what, that can make a football player very hungry. >> they worked up an appetite. only the action cam was in south philadelphia when sanchez stopped at pat's and geno's to get a philly's cheesesteak. >> katherine scott is live with more on the story you'll only see on "action news". katherine. >> reporter: good morning, matt and tam. well, before the game, mark sanchez said that if the eagles won, he would come down and have a cheesesteak at pat's and geno's and guess what? last night he went to geno's, he went to pat's, the fans were here and they went

mark sanchez had two wonderful cheesesteaks and he will be back and fans here last night saying that they're just hoping that the eagles keep their momentum into the post season. we are live in south philadelphia, katherine scott channel6 "action news." >> wins another one for the eagles the next one is on me, that is a promise. mark sanchez played a crucial role in the eagles 45 to 21 drubbing of the carolina panthers but he's not the only bird who deserves a game ball. the offense, defense and special teams all scored touchdowns for the second time this season. the defense forced five turnovers including that pick by bradley fletcher in the second quarter. eagles sacked panthers qb cam newton nine times. connor barwin had a three and a half of them. >> all love playing for each other, you know what i mean? i don't know how you put that into words. nobody's really selfish up front. i think that's a big part of it and really tonight it was

incredible. >> on special teams darren sproles ran back a punt for a td for the second time this year. that guy is so fast. he also scored a td during an offensive play. the eagles have only six days to get ready for the their next big test, a visit to green bay. to play the powerful packers. we'll have continuing coverage of the eagles' big win throughout the day on "action news" plus our sports team will have a special tuesday edition of eagles game day final after "action news" at 11:00. >> we are also following a developing story a man is in critical condition after a late night shooting in southwest philadelphia. this happened on passyunk avenue around 11:15 last night. police say a man in his 30's was getting out of his car when he was hit. the car as you can see there also had several bullet holes in it and there were more shell casings on the ground. police have not told us the victim's name. they also have not said who shot him or why. and police are also looking for the man who

carried out a crowbar to carry out a violent home invasion in northeast philadelphia that put the homeowner in the hospital. the action cam was at the scene of the 2300 block of emerson street. police say the homeowner came home around 6:45 last night and found the burglar ransacking his bedroom. investigators say that's when the homeowner confronted the burglar. >> during the struggle, the burglar used a crowbar and struck the homeowner several times in the face, head and the neck. >> the victim is in the hospital in stable condition. and police say the burglar stole four watches and a lot of jewelry. investigators say they found fingerprints that they believe may belong to the suspect. >> happening today, authorities will return kidnapping suspect delvin barnes back to philadelphia. he will be extradited from virginia to face federal charges. erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center with more on this process. >> reporter: good morning,

matt. 37-year-old delvin barnes as you said has been in custody in virginia for the past week since his arrest. the man accused of abducting carleesha freeland-gaither will be tried first by federal authorities in philadelphia on federal kidnapping charges. now, barnes is also accused of kidnapping and trying to murder a teenaged girl in virginia. she, police say, was 16 and barnes was digging a grave for her when she escaped in early october but first virginia authorities will release him to philadelphia today for an initial court appearance this week. barnes is accused, as you know, of grabbing 22 year old philadelphia woman walking home from a bus stop on november 2nd and later driving off with her as she kicked out his car win dover. police found the two in his car three days later and barnes is expected to be appointed a lawyer in philadelphia at wednesday's hearing and of course we'll keep you updated as this story develops this week. i'm erin o'hearn, live in the

that connects pahoa to the rest of the island. first major snowstorm of the season is causing a lot of rakes for drivers in the central part of the can country. there was nearly a 20 vehicle pileup in duluth, minnesota. officials say there were a lot of accidents because of the thin layer of wet snow there was very fluffy and difficult to plow. both the city and the state have plow trucks out in full force. >> i remember those days. >> it's really jekyll and hyde weather. like we're the hyde for now at least. >> it is going to change over the next couple days, matt. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows us we're dry for your morning commute which is good and as we take a look outside we are looking at the airport and like yesterday winds are light. it's cool enough for a jacket but not too bad and getting better later honda. highlights to your forecast today, two mild days ahead of us. yesterday we were talking about having three. we burned one of them yesterday. we have that chilly change later in the week. as we take a look at the

temperature, 46 degrees arc little better than it was this time yesterday and your winds continue to be light out of the north-northeast at just 3 miles per hour. i'll go ahead and look at satellite and at the same time i'll bring in that always on day planner for those watching in hd. sunshine this morning once we get rid of low lying clouds. there's the possibility that some of you are looking at a little patchy fog here or there this morning but i don't think that's a widespread issue. but i do expect that sun to be able to burn this stuff off fairly quickly. then through the day looks like we'll start out of out with plenty of sunshine. the question is whether or not we get any of these western clouds filtering in later in the day. if we do it could affect our temperature a little bit but either way we're looking at a mild one today. 45 degrees by 8 o'clock, 57 degrees by 11 o'clock, 56 by 2 o'clock. your high today is 67. we may hold off until about 3 o'clock today before we see that. if we manage to squeeze more sunshine in and fewer clouds we might go a couple degrees above that. 65 is the high in allentown, 66 in millville and mid 60's down the shore more or less.

pretty nice for veterans day. as we take a look at current temperatures to the west you can see how that colder air we have been talking about has descended all the way down to wichita kansas where it's below freezing. we still got a can couple mild days before that stuff shifts towards the east. we're going to see a change but it won't be the kind of change they're seeing out west. over the next couple days 15 to 30-degree below average temperatures out there. by the time it comes east it moderates. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, 67, nice and mild for veterans day, it should be a beautiful afternoon for those of you headed out to services. clouds and sun then on wednesday, a high of 65, also not bad. thursday is when the cooler air starts to come in. brisk conditions, 49 is the high. at night there's the possibility of some precipitation and because we're looking at temperatures in the 30's and in some cases below 30's we could see a rain shower or maybe even a few wet snowflakes. that would be thursday night.

>> happening today, dr. craig spencer will be released from a new york city hospital. health officials declared the doctor free of the ebola virus yesterday. spencer tested positive for the virus last month just days after returning from treating patients in guinea with doctors without borders. there are no more ebola cases in the united states. seven high school football players from central jersey who are accused of sexual assault in a hazing incident will not be tried as adults. the middlesex county prosecutor says the students from sayreville war memorial high school should be tried in family court. the school's football season ended last month and the coaching staff is suspended as a result of the hazing investigation. the defendants are between 15 and 17 years old. >> ♪ time now to take a look at your morning business. the postal service is saying hackers may have stolen social security numbers of about 800,000 workers but it says customers at the offices online are not affected but if you use the call center the

>> ♪ >> break news now. karen has been mentioning this fire at a ymca in montgomery county. fire at a ymca in montgomery where the firefighters remain. it's at the ymca in abington on the 1000 block of old york road in abington. it was located, the fire was located in a room inside this three story brick building but they've knocked it down. the fire is under control. we'll keep you posted on what type of damage we're talking about at the abington ymca. new on "action news," a suspected burglar in tennessee was caught sleeping on the job. sparta police arrested bobby ray o'connor after two women discovered him asleep in a bed. police say o'connor was on probation for burglary when he

committed this recent crime and was also carrying items in a backpack. police are working to determine if the items in that backpack were stolen from the house or somewhere else. also new, two thieves were no match for a pair of girl scouts who were just trying to sell their famous cookies in a baltimore suburb. the girl scouts had turned their backs and noticed someone taking off with their cookies ling to a getaway car. one of the girls chased after the thief and grabbed the wagon filled with cookies. two neighbors jumped into action to follow the car. police were able to arrest two people not far from the scene. >> there are five remaining stars begunking for the mirrorball trophy. tommy chong made it for another week. chong getting to stay meant a high scoring celebrity had to go. last night it was lea thompson's turn to leave. the actress who looked stunning while performing some of her best dances was asked to go. remaining will return next week.
