wilmington and reading 34 and allentown 36 and philadelphia 41 degrees, our high only 47 degrees, a whopping 10 degrees below average and it's going to get even colder. rain and snow showers tonight that change over from rain to snow will be happening from the west to the east, mainly along the i-95 corridor, this is where i expect the possibility of the grassy coating to the west. i'll talk about the colder air to follow and track another storm system next week coming up in the full accuweather forecast. lets switch live to "action news" reporter annie mccormick on main street in morgan town. >> we are excited that the flakes finally arrived. people want to see the accumulation we are getting here, it's just a light coating they are getting in this area, but falling on the fall foliage is absolutely beautiful.

the pennsylvania turnpike is moving along fine and main street here in morgantown, i spoke with penndot districts five and six, they tell me that everybody, every employee is on stand by. so far they have the normal amount of trucks, they will be patrolling, we have seen a number of trucks, and they tell us they are laying down the salt if needs if the temperatures do drop because as the snow is falling, it's just turning to puddles on the roadways, i can tell you between 5:00 and 6:00, we did see some of those big flakes that remind us of winter but turning into a rain-sleet-snow type of moisture. that is what we are seeing right now off the pennsylvania turnpike in morgantown, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you annie. jackets and gloves and heavy

severely beaten in a second story bedroom and they found a bat and extension cord nearby. >> we have a female now that we are questioning her in reference to her possible involvement. >> relatives say they were leery of the roommate for months, accusing her of abuse in the past but every time they pressed barley to go to the police she didn't press charges. >> i'm grieving and all over the place and i'm trying to get things set up for the funeral. >> i didn't like her she was a controlling type of person. >> investigators say the roommate called the police and said three men invade the home and beat them both and she woke up and found barley dead. >> there is a lot of violence between the two of them and the female we have upstairs was the

on december 12th if the union does not stop an appeal against a savings plan. the union is appealing a bankruptcy court orderer, that terminated its contract, its health insurance and pensions. if the appeal isn't dropped by the end of the month, the casino will close at the end of the month leaving 3,000 workers without a job. attorney general, kathleen kane will work from home a while longer, her doctor told her to stay home until november 24th she received injuries in a car accident last month. she was not wearing a seatbelt and hit the window. this was the scene october 26th as the philadelphia parking authority was busting uber x drivers in philadelphia's society hill. the app based ride sharing

company is still barred from philadelphia but they granted uber x for an experimental license for the city and some of the suburbs, it allows them to match up with private drivers using their own cars. the philadelphia police detectives that helped find carlesha freeland-gaither were honored at city hall. she was kidnapped from a german town street and was rescued three days later in maryland. her family appeared alongside the detectives today and credited the detectives with the persistence that helped save her. she is trying to readjust. >> she is doing well, still distraught but doing well. i want to thank everybody for what they did, the police department and the fbi and all the agencies. >> the alleged kidnapper, a career criminal, is still in
