you can see how the rain is skirting i-95 corridor. you're looking at wet road conditions and wet leaves on the road up in the suburbs because of light rain. if you look farther to the south and west on satellite and radar, lots of clouds and more rain. notice how we have a changeover to mixed precipitation in the poconos there's a winter weather advisory until 9:00 because there's sleet and rain mixing in. that's just the poconos, it's just until 9:00. after that it will change over to rain. we have plunged into the 30s in allentown and reading, the poconos 32 degrees. we have wintry precipitation yop there right now. today it will be chilly, 42 at

received official confirmation from the vatican this morning, in fact here's the confirmation in my hand that pope francis will be attending the world meeting of families in philadelphia in september of next year. katherine scott is outside the archdiocesan head quawrdz in the city -- headquarters in the city, as a matter of fact you're inside. >> reporter: that's right, matt, pope francis will be here for the world meeting he have family, there will be a papal massen 0 the benjamin franklin parkway which will open to the public. back in march a delegation from philadelphia went to rome to try to convince the pope to come here, the mayor was here, the governor, archbishop shah pew, the morning's announcement came from speech, pope francis said

burning house this morning. the action cam was on the scoon, the -- on the scene, the firefighters arrived and foundn, flames spitting out of the second floor window. the red cross is finding temporary housing to are a third person. also developing this morning, a boarding house fire in the germantown section of philadelphia has killed a man and injured four police officers. the action cam was at the scene, the 800 block of east cheltenham avenue. the four officers reached the fire ahead of firefighters they were injured while trying to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. the man who died in the fire was found in the second floor bedroom. three other residence managed to get out -- residents managed to get out safely. smoke detecters were working. there's no word on the cause of the fire. investigators say alcohol

was a factor in a crash involving a police cruiser. it happened after 5:00 p.m. the intoxicated driver slammed into the police car. nobody was hurt and that driver, as you might imagine was taken into custody. the eagles suffered is their worse loss in the chip kelly era. 53-20. it was the most points given up in an eagles game since 1972. the eagles defense could not stop aaron rodgers. quarterback mark sanchez turned the ball over four times that includes two interceptions and two fumbles. >> i'm proud nobody was quitting and pointing fingers at each other, we are a family and things aren't ever perfect in a family. it wasn't our night. that's the way it goes.

>> somebody said let's build higher than william penn. >> reporter: storm tracker 6 live double scan we're looking at light rain across the region. as we take the two dimensional view you can see it pushing up the i-95 corridor. so the next portion of the morning commute looks to come on the wet side. in the northern and western suburbs, you have sprinkles here and there and the roads are wet along with the wet leaves because of the overnight rain. wet for now and probably staying that way for a good portion of the morning commute. as we take a look outside we have sky 6 and we're looking at some of that early commute on i-95. we can see the highway now, the clouds are lifting a bit because of the rain is getting the lighter. even if the rain stops this morning, never fear it's coming back later in the morning and continuing on and off throughout afternoon. the highlights, the first is a low light.

coast at 7:30. in the allentown, 48 degrees, on the cool side in the lehigh valley. down the shore, periods of rain on and off throughout the day. 58 degrees, milder along the water, but not a great day, nonetheless. in philadelphia we're going for a high of 56 degrees, periods of rain and cloudy skies when it isn't raining. 44 by 8:00. still in the 40s by 11:00. if you're running errands you'll need the rain gear at 2:00, that will be the mildest part of the day 56 degrees. tomorrow, colder air moves in. we'll be in the 20s when we start our broadcast, we'll be looking at blustery winds it
