check in with david and karen get a sense of that cold on your traffic. good morning. >> good morning, everybody and it is very brutal out there once again today. winds not quite as strong. yes we have plenty of sunshine up over the horizon but it's still going to feel very uncomfortable out that with wind chills -- we'll show you them in a moment. 23 in wilmington, 20 degrees in allentown, 20 in reading, 21 in trenton. these are fairly close to record lows. for example the record low this morning in philadelphia is 20. we wouldn't have to go too much farther down to get the record and we probably are still going the see temperatures drop a little bit. in terms of wind chills, feels like it's 11 in philadelphia right now, which is actually worse than yesterday because the temperature is a little bit colder. the winds technically are going to be dying down today, though but for this morning anyway you do need to really bundle up and even this afternoon it's going to be a good idea. if you're catching the bus looks like we'll be hovering around 22 degrees between 6 and 8 o'clock, might dip in between those two time periods and get closer to that

record. on the train station platform this morning, not real comfortable. 23 right now, by 8 o'clock 22. by noon up to 29 and by 3 o'clock 32 degrees. you're still looking at another high around yesterday's high of 33. we'll probably hit that around 2:00 and then by 6 o'clock down to about 30 degrees. tonight's not as cold, karen, and tomorrow we do moderate a little bit. i'll have details coming up in the accuweather 7-day. >> all right dave. we had that terrible accident and tractor-trailer fire from late last night and still causing a problem on the new jersey turnpike. this is northbound between exit six and past exit eight. at this point the outer roadway is still blocked. you can use the inerode way but expect delays or stick to 130 or route nine instead. that accident northbound on the new jersey turnpike from yesterday. it's still causing problems this morning. also here in hamilton township mercer county we have a downed pole from yesterday. again still blocking the right lane so a couple of issues out there this morning. this is on 130 southbound just as you approach i-195. septa regional rails, we have issues with the west trenton

line. full regular service is restored. the issues from last night with the downed wires has been restored. yesterday was a problem. this evening looking tubarineing on time. >> thank you karen. the freezing cold has enveloped much of the country. we're nearing record cold temperatures right now. "action news" reporter katherine scott back out there in it again did talking to commuters, this time in frankford. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam. yeah, we're not seeing the strong wind gusts like we saw yesterday morning but don't let that fool you. it is still cold out here. of course, the temperatures dropped down a few degrees and we have been speaking with commuters here at the frankford transportation center this morning who are saying the wait for the bus this morning can feel interminable. they're zipped and layered up as they head out to work. these are near record lows. we have been speaking to commuters that have been telling us one of the issues is that we haven't adjusted yet to this cold so the blast of air you get coming outside

[laughter] >> reporter: you see people getting on and off their buses with a few more layers today. some are clutching their cups of hot tea and hot coffee and you may need an extra one this morning. live in frankford, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> katherine thank you for that. residents of buffalo new york are dealing with incredible amounts of snowfall. authorities are already blaming four deaths on this storm. according to one local official, a year's worth of snow is going to accumulate in three days in some areas. more than 60-inches have piled up in places with more to come. a live report coming up in the next half hour of "action news." >> brand new this morning, firefighters had to battle flames and freezing temperatures near the jersey

shore. the fire started along route nine in middle township cape may county at 10:00 last night. crews tell us it started in the back of a single family home. police and the fire marshal remained on the scene to try to find a cause. they've not said whether anyone was hurt. at least one person is dead from this fiery tractor-trailer crash on the new jersey turnpike that karen just mentioned. chopper 6 was over the wreck along the northbound lanes in cranbury township last night. police say three tractor-trailers were involved and they all caught fire. the outer roadway in the northbound lanes remains blocked on the new jersey turnpike at this hour. >> the new jersey state attorney general's office is takeing a new look at a high profile case. sources are now saying john and joyce sheridan were stabbed. abc news reports evidence suggests that a third person may have killed the couple. investigators initially suggested that the deaths of the former cooper health systems ceo and his wife were murder-suicide. police have now determined

that both were stabbed on september 28th in their somerset county home before their bedroom was set on fire. joyce sheridan had been stabbed at least eight times. john sheridan had knife wounds to the neck and side. >> and new on "action news," pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane is making new claims in the pornographic e-mail scandal that has rocked the state and these claims are jaw dropping. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is at the big board with details. >> they sure are, matt. cane did not hold back in a cnn interview calling the pornographic e-mail images deplorable hard core graphic and sometimes violent. she went on to say that many of the images depicted children and elderly women and also involved violent sexual acts against women. one of cane's lawyers in the case said he had not seen all of the e-mails involved wasn't not exactly clear as to what kane was referring to but addd that two images of the children he saw were inappropriate but not

necessarily pornographic. last week kane said four of her employees had been fired and 11 suspended without pay for involvement in the pornographic e-mail scandal t last month justice seamus mccaffrey retired after his fellow justices suspended him after it was disclosed he sent or received 234 of the e-mails. kane said the e-mails surfaced during an investigation but claims now a court order is preventing her from doing her job. >> i am being stopped from performing my duties as attorney general. my office is being stopped from certain investigations. and we are being stopped even from telling why. >> a spokesperson for the corbett administration which also reviewed some of the e-mails says it was unaware of the -- of any e-mails that contained pictures of children. matt, back to you. >> thanks erin. happening today, the rails for the mayor of philadelphia will get more crowded. two more candidates plan to announce they are running. former district attorney lynn

abraham will make her formal announcement at the franklin institute at noon. state senator anthony williams will announce his candidacy at 5:30 p.m. at the liberty ballroom of the independent visitor's center. they will join two other candidates ken trujillo and kerry gillen a former aid to michael nutter. more than 1,000 casino workers will hold another rally on the atlantic city boardwalk. they will protest the planned shutdown of the trump taj mahal and billionaire investor carl icahn's role in the process. they'll march from the taj to the tropicana which i can can owns. owners of the taj plan to shut it down on december 12th. it would be the fifth casino to close in ac this year. icahn has demanded concessions and state aid to keep the taj open. >> another person has come forward accusing bill cosby of

morning low records. philadelphia we got to get to 20 to tie the record and then it's the teens in reading, trenton, the airport in atlantic city, mount pocono 10 degrees. as we take a look at philadelphia right now we're still at 23 degrees but there's some room to drop over the next couple hours so we'll see certainly flirting with that record. we'll see if we get there. winds out of the west at 14 miles an hour still a factor this morning although as we go later into the day they will tend to drop off a little bit and even these winds across the region right now are not as strong as they were yesterday. the problem is that we're a little colder than yesterday morning and so everything balances out to still give us wind chills in the teens as you step outside. satellite and radar shows you a lack of any significant cloud cover. they have been getting hammered with lake effect snow in western new york, places like buffalo way lot on the ground right now. they're still getting a little bit this morning although it looks like it will subside today. temperatures around here, still cold, 22 degrees by 8 o'clock. 27 by 11 o'clock and then 33 degrees by 2:00 which is your high this afternoon.

by 5 o'clock, we'll be back down to 30 and not as windy as we have the but still a little bit breezy and certainly requiring all the same clothing that you had on yesterday. association mainly sunny, not as windy but still pretty raw today, a high of just 30 in allentown for the second straight day. 31 in reading, 33 in trenton and 33's up and doyne the i-95 corridor. down the shore we'll get a little better. 36, 37, somewhere in there. future tracker shows you wind chills on wednesday are still going to be pretty raw in the morning. and as we go into this afternoon, a little bit better. by noon yesterday we were still in the teens. today it looks like we'll be in the 20's and probably low 20's through the afternoon. so, less wind but still pretty cold and still pretty uncomfortable out there. in terms of thursday, temperatures in the morning at 5:00 in the morning are only down to around the freezing mark so tomorrow morning will not be as raw and in the afternoon it does look like we're going get back into the 40's. i wish i could say that was going last. it's not. but at least we get a bit of a break tomorrow.

murphy's full accuweather police in upper darby reminding people 'tis the season for thieves to steal your packages. surveillance cameras captured one such heist on the 7,000 block of greenwood avenue. a ups driver left a park catch on the porch because no one was home. a thief was watching and swiped the box as soon as the worker left while you see this carrying a baby in his other arm. police are still looking for that thief. and new this morning, a former runway model has come forward to accuse comedian bill cosby of rape. janice dickinson claims the assault happened in 1982 in lake tahoe california where cosby was performing. she says she wrote about the incident her 2,002 autobiography but cosby and his lawyers pressured her to remove the details. dickinson is the third woman to publicly accuse cosby of sexual abuse since october. the philadelphia native is not facing any criminal charges in the wake of these accusations,

netflix decide to do postpone the premiere of cosby's latest standup special. >> and you know, matt, we're going to pick up with that and continue to talk about netflix's reaction. they are the first corporate company to really come out and say something. cosby had some other deals that were in the works. we'll see what comes of those. now, cosby himself and his team put out a statement last night and they say that he agrees with this action. the federal government wants automakers could expands the recall for air bags that may explode. the inflators that have been made by takata can explode and thief been known supposedly to send pieces of metal into drivers and passengers. 8 million cars in gulf coast states have been recalled because humidity is known to contribute to the problem. the federal authorities say they think this recall should be expanded nationally. let's take a look at wall street. stocks soared to new records on tuesday. right now looks like futures are pointing to a lower open. federal authorities are cracking down on debt
