karen are here. >> reporter: good morning, there's cloud cover out to the west and we're starting out cold, but 36 degrees is more than 10 degrees milder than this time yesterday. 24 in allentown, 38 in millville and 40 down the shore. there's a wind out of the southwest it's not all that strong, but when you factor in the cold numbers with the winds you'll get a windchill making it feel like the upper 20s and low 30s down the shore. heading out the door to catch the school bus i'm recommending a don't winter coat, we'll have temperatures around the freezing mark. as we go through the day, 32 degrees by 8:00. we'll dip a little bit by then. noon, the low 40s and 43 by 3:00, the high today will be up to 45 degrees i expect to see that around # 30:00 or 2:00. we dip back into the upper 30s

news, a gunman is dead after opening fire on the campus of florida state university police found the gunman and used dead think force. taman bradley has been following this all night and all morning and has the latest from washington, d.c. >> reporter: matt, good morning, shortly after midnight an alert went out to students on campus warning students to take cover. a dangerous situation was unfolding. >> we have a shooting stay where you are. >> reporter: that announcement heard by students huddled among library shelves. photos posted online as students hans raised. -- hands raised. >> there was commotion on the

first floor. total chaos. >> basically we were told to gather our stuff, not even told, screamed. we ran upstairs by the time we got up to the third floor, we heard another 6 or 7 shots in quick succession outside the buildings. >> reporter: police cleared the students one by one from inside the library and taken to another building and interviewed by authorities, their belongings eerily left behind. the gunman was killed, three others were wounded. police have not released any information about the gunman or the victims. taman bradley. thank you for that. >> we're following a developing story in philadelphia. a cruiser crash sent a police officer to the hospital. it happened on chew avenue in the germantown section.

phl are expected to walk off the job at 8:00. >> reporter: goodgood morning, , this is a one day strike at 7:00 a.m., up to 12r5 workers for a subcontractor for the one of the airlines is going to walk off the job. the only delay or cancellation is to buffalo. we know that's weather related. these workers duties include helping passengers with their baggage to the curb or carousel. the organizers say work hes have raised concerns over wages unsafe working conditions and lack of training and then they say they have been retaliated dwains by their employers.

36 degrees, the winds out of the south/southwest not a lot of wind. temperatures are milder than yesterday morning, that's good. you can see the lake-effect snow making its way into northeastern pennsylvania and new york state. down here we're holding on to clear skies. there might be high clouds digging in later on, but generally speaking we're looking at a fair amount of sunshine. 32 degrees is the temperature at 8:00. i expect the numbers to dip a little bit. we get into the upper 30s by 11:00 and 2:00 p.m. we get into the mid 40s, 39 degrees by 5:00 p.m., a little breezy out there today, but not horrific. a 45 in philadelphia, 46 in wilmington, 40 in allentown and reading, that's 10 degrees better than yesterday. and upper 40s in atlantic city and cape may, but breezy today with a ten to 20-mile an hour. after the rest, we have a little more cold air to deal with, looks like that will be coming in behind a little frontal

them. three victims were transported to the hospital no word on their condition. a customer walked into an a t and t store in bear, delaware. they found employees tied up with duct tape. two armed men walked into the store of the 1800 block of pulaski highway. they grabbed several electronics and ran away. a house explosion killed one and injured two others. the man who died became buried under debris. another man and woman are in the hospital in critical condition. mysteriously investigators have ruled out natural gas as the cause of the explosion. secret service arrested an iowa man outside the white house, agents say they found a hunting rifle and amunition and knife parked outside.

>> surveillance video captured a scare seder at this house cat while burglaries broke. in the first burglar walked up the steps and spotted the surveillance camera and ripped it out of the wall, but the video was uploaded to the cloud. police are hoping to use it to identify two burglars. new this morning, police in massachusetts are warning about a convicted sex offender, drive around in an old school bus. police have issued a warning on facebook that has prompted people to post sightings of the bus. he is a registered level 3 sex offender, and not doing anything illegal.
