november 21. of let's go over to david murphy for accuweather and karen rogers is watching traffic. >> reporter: we're off to a colder start, no surprises here, lots of sunshine later on. temperatures are on the raw side. 30 in philadelphia. 29 in wilmington, 27 in trenton. the freezing mark in sea isle city and up the coast in ac. 20-degree windchill in philadelphia right now, 19 in wilmington, 17 in allentown. 16 in trenton. and 20 in sea isle city. as you head out the door to catch the bus, dress warmly, 28 degrees by 6:00. 29 by 8:00. cold and blustery out there. wind will be stronger as we get past sunrise into the afternoon. 29 degrees by 9:00. noon, 34 degrees, 36 by 3:00. obviously it will be chillier today, high of 38 degrees at

2:00. we're back below the freezing mark at 6:00. keep in mind there's a strong, blustery wind blowing at times. karen things get better over the weekend and really good on monday. >> reporter: i don't know if that's a good forecast or your hitting on me. i like it. >> reporter: let's go to the maps in gloucester county, fire activity blocking a lane on 295. watch for a ramp swedesboro road to 295 northbound. camden county, it's construction blocking up to two lanes, at 6:00. this will get you to 168 and nicholson road. we have a downed pole that was causing a problem, but all lanes are back open on 291. i-95 approaching cottman, no delays no overnight construction you're looking good on a friday morning, tam. >> thank you, karen.

we're following breaking news in bethlehem township, a water main break that caused a sinkhole and that forced two dozens people out of their homes in this cold morning air. katherine scott is live at the scene on hampton road. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, there's work being done here, the gas is still shut off in the area. crews remain on the scene here, residents more than 30 of them, had to evacuate, the red cross did set up a shelter, so they made sure people had someplace to go. the chain of events led to this, here's the picture, a back of a ppl truck getting wallowed up by -- swallowed up by a sinkhole. it didn't end there, it landed on a gas main. the truck was removed. it started with a water main break on the 1800 block of hampton. while crews were there the

sinkhole open upped, the utility truck sunk, it was balanced on a 4-inch high pressure natural gas line, that caused the evacuation of a 300-foot radius in the neighborhood. the gas and water was shut off while the crews removed the truck. the gas is still shut off, and so far there's no word on when the service will be restored, of course we'll remain on scene and let you know when we hear. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. new this morning, police are trying to figure out if someone started a house fire in torresdale on purpose. the action cam was on 8600 block of rose lane around 2:30. fire crews got the fire under control quickly, but they found a liquid that was used to accelerate the fire. tabernacle, new jersey is copying with a tragedy this

morning, a boy and girl were shot to death and the mother and two others are in critical condition. today grief counselors will help children struggling with the news. an adult discovered all the victims in the home and called 911. "action news" spoke to a long time friend of the mother identified always jeaninne lepage. >> i can't believe it, i'm in to that shock, her kids are like my own kids. i just can't believe it's happening. >> police say they are not looking for any suspects in the homicide, but they will not say who they think pulled the trigger and why, nine people lived in the home on holy drive all are related. our coverage of the tragic story in tabernacle continues online. we have the most up-to-date information at 6abc.com, including video reports an

pictures from the scene. >> a man tried to pull off a robbery with a knife in west oak lane, but ran into a security guard with a gun. the thief tried to hold up a rite aid around 8:30 last night. but the guard shot him multiple times. medics rushed the suspect to einstein medical center. else in critical condition. >> 5:35, yet another woman has come forward to accuse bill cosby of sexual assault. she is a florida nurse. she said cosby drugged her with pills and assaulted her in las vegas in 1976 after cosby performed there. cosby has yet to comment on any of the allegations. cosby performed in the bahamas as the pressure continues to grow. while tv and businesses back away from the comedian, temple

university is standing by his side. the school said he'll keep his position on the board of trustees. a spot he held since 1982. he settled a lawsuit filed by a temple employee back in 2006. the employee accused him of drugging and fondling her at his he elkins park home. immigrants displayed american flags outside the white house while the president made a televiseed address inside. if the people register with the government and pass a background check and pay taxes they can get work permits and avoid deportation for three years. it did not grant citizenship.

>> reporter: storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you that we are dry this morning which is nice, as we take a look outside, clear skies on the way, we got sunshine coming up over the horizon later on this morning. it's cold this morning, colder than yesterday, and blustery. 30 degrees, that's the current temperature, the winds are out of the west at 13 miles per hour we're looking at a chilly start. here are the winds across the region. 13 miles per hour. sickle digits in other spots. -- single digits in other spots. you're dealing with windchills in the teens and 20s. no significant cloud cover in the neighborhood. as we go through the day, 29 degrees by 8:00. 32 by 11:00. we got up up to close to 50 in a a lot of spots. today, 38 is the high, it will feel like the low 20s and mid 20s because of the windchill.

as we go through the day we see the windchills creep into the mid 20s. it will be a day for coats and gloves and extra gear if you're outside. high temperatures, 36 in allentown. 37 in reading, a little bit better in millville. the high water mark is down by the water in atlantic city and cape may where we'll stop at 40. temperatures are colder out west, what we're concentrating on is the milder air extending from dallas to atlanta. the morning lows will be cool. 9 the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, 38 degrees is the high. brisk and colder than yesterday with blustery winds gusting as high as 30 miles per hour and giving windchills in the 20s. in the morning we'll start out in the 20s and bump up to the low 30s for are the start of any race activity saturday morning. in the afternoon it gets better, 44 degrees. the philadelphia marathon starts

out in the upper 30s and 40s. it gets better and we're up above 50 by noon. 56 degrees is the high, this bodes well for eagles fans, doesn't look like we'll have any rain and probably not all that breezy for the titans and eagles. temperatures in the mid 50s not too bad for football season. then we go to monday, very mild, how about that high temperature of 70 degrees, i think we can take that. while there's a chance of showers it appears most of those are early in the day and in the afternoon we have a chance of dry, very mild day, so everybody gets outside and celebrates monday afternoon if you can. we're back to 58, not too bad on tuesday, wednesday and thursday, back in the upper 40s and of course, thanksgiving will be a little bit cool, but we've had worse, i think it's dry on the parade route. >> dry is the key word. >> 5:40, pool side struggle

outside the white house it was the second such arrest in two days. agents spotted the woman near the north lawn of the us would you also with a holster gun under her shirt. the woman is from michigan. the secret service said she is not cooperating with their investigation. a man we are with her was not arrested. the secret service arrested an iowa man for having weaponry in his vehicle near the white house on wednesday. >> darren wilson is the officer who shot and killed michael brownback in august. the fbi and police nationwide are wrapping for the a reaction to the grand jury decision. brown's father had this plea to his supporters. >> hurting others and destroying property is not the answer. no matter what the grand jury's decide i do not want my son's death to be in vein. i want it to lead to incredible change, positive change.

a police charity has raised a half million dollars to pay for wilson relocation and expenses. a jury decided on the death penalty last month. the judge's ruling make that sentence official. >> from our delaware newsroom, raging flames destroyed a house in wilmington. the action cam was on 5th and jefferson where the fire started last night. firefighters were worried there may have been squatters inside, but they did not find anyone. they are not sure how the fire started. >> the oldest college football rivalry in the universe feels again this weekend for 150th time. a school struggle on camera has the teacher's job in jeopardy.

of the northwest gusting as high as 30. the windchills at the best of times will be in the 20s. bundle up if you have stuff to do today. >> it's the college football rivalry in the lehigh valley. this weekend it will add another historic chapter. lehigh and lafayette will play for 150th time tomorrow. that's more than any other two schools in the county. the first matchup go back to 1884 before helmets and the forward pass. students will tell you the rivalry is alive and well. >> it's a big part of the culture here. >> this is a big deal. >> you come to lafayette. >> there's so much animosity between the two schools, you mentioned that we have losing records, it doesn't matter how many games we lose, as long as we win the lead off game. >> they will be playing this game tomorrow at yankee stadium.

carrying three books that he just checked out. a bullet hit the third book possibly saving his life. new on "action news," a struggle between a teacher and student at a california school was caught on cell phone camera. the video shows the teacher, danny peterson trying to drag the 14-year-old into a swimming pool back in august. the teen didn't want to participate and get in the pool because she had her hair done that morning for an evening event. peterson was put on paid leave and assigned to another stockton school. we're seeing more incredible pictures from the historic snowstorms around buffalo, new york. this shot was taken from the canadian side of lake erie. it shows a massive bloom of lake-effect snow rushing toward buffalo. that stormed has claimed ten lives. >> it looks like the dust storm
