the police have identified the three children ages 8, 11 and 14. they also released the name of the alleged shooter who they say attempted to take her own life as well. nora muchanic is live at the red lion state police barracks. what did they have to stay today? >>reporter:jim, the state police say that the evidence makes it clear who pulled the trigger. it was the mother of the three kids. she has not officially been charged. if she recovers she will be facing homicide charges. >> jeaninne lepage has shot her three children and then turned the gun on herself. >> they confirmed that 44-year-old jeaninne lepage shot her three children found in an upstairs bedroom. she may have shot the children while they slept between

6abc.com. police in chester are searching for the person that stabbed a 48-year-old woman to death. justnight williams was a well loved member of the student. -- community. the firefighters were called to the home on 300 block of highland boulevard at 11:45. the second victim a 27-year-old is also in critical but stable condition. the cause of blaze is not clear. the authorities believe it was an accident. a man that shot at temple university student earlier this month is now in custody. the police have arrested derek hancock. he was trying to rob the

23-year-old victim when he pulled a gun. it happened on november 8th at 1500 block of north street. he faces attempted murder and robbery charges. the reward for information leading to the arrest for a person that shot at delaware state trooper is up to $15,000. richard deskiss was shot in the arm responding to a call last year. they announced a reward of $10,000. today their colleagues in new jersey added $5,000. they issued the order. juveniles appearing in court can no longer be subjected to strip-searches as they were earlier this week. and chad pradelli is live at 15th and arch. what are the details here? >>reporter:jim, behind me is the

gleaming new family court building. it opened on monday. that is when the juvenile strip-searches began. those subjected to them were furious. the strip-searches have been stopped. the question remains how did they happen in the first place. the sources say that the strip-searches occurred individually in small groups where people could walk by and see. they referred all questions to kevin docherty. the court released a statement today that reads "on tuesday morning this week in response to concerns over allegation was strip-search was juveniles, the leadership of family court directed the sheriff's office to crease and desist all searches. all rules governing the screening of the juveniles.

how many juveniles that were strip-searched have not been determined. they are working to find those answers. a child advocacy group in philadelphia tell us that the strip-searches never should have happened protocols should have been place to make sure that it never happens. jim. thank you, chad. a south jersey woman that police say seen on the video beating up a former co-worker has been indicted. letia harris faces charges of second-degree murder of aggravated assault and threatening. she repeatedly punched and kicked the co-worker while the co-worker's 2-year-old son watched. she has been out on bond since

july. cameras captured the woman walking up to a home on the 500 block of reed street in south philadelphia last friday. she looked around to make sure that no one was watching. then she pulled the box from the door and casually walked away. two trucks fell into a sinkhole and removed as crews are making repairs. the whol hole opened up on hampn road last night. it forced an evacuation. and eva pilgrim has the full story from the scene. >>reporter:it started as a water fresh issue. it turned into a massive sinkhole that crews are working to fill. tonight the families are not allowed into their home s. >> the fire department was coming around. we didn't have to leave. the neighbors didn't have to leave. further down they were going to leave. >>reporter:30 families were

evacuated after the sinkhole opened up on 1800 block of hampton road. it swallowed up a p.p.l. truck and then this afternoon it got hungry making a dump truck working on repairs its latest victim. the crews working on the repair say that they have stabilized the area. >> they know every one on the street. i hope that my neighbors are doing okay. >>reporter:this was hit the hardest by the sinkhole. there are cracks in the foundation. it's unsafe to stay in their home right now. tonight they are staying with family. i am eva pilgrim "channel~6

yesterday. the strikers protested unsafe working conditions and low wages. they served 45 years serving the community. one thousand leaders in business and government gathered for breakfast to mark the 41s 41st anniversary. tom wolf addressed the crowd that included bernie prazenica and other 6abc colleagues. it's the weekend that thousands of runners have been training for. the half marathon and marathon takes place on sunday. the rothman k is on saturday. cecily tynan will be running the 8k was on hand to help out. with the philadelphia marathon two days away there is one competitor that is facing the event with a new drive and a more positive spirit.

lisa thomas-laury has his story. >>reporter:his name is russell selkirk a two-time competitor and participated in the marathon last year. not with the intensity that he has this time around. russ trains in lansdale. it builds his upper body strength. he suffered a spinal fracture in an auto crash that left him paralyze from his hips. >> i was stopped behind a truck. the pickup truck slammed between and sandwiched me between the two of us. >>reporter:it's hard to talk about even today. he focuses on his training and this week's marathon. >> the longer you go it's difficult to keep that same level because of endurance. >>reporter:his endurance has

of 72. that is a 52-degree jump in a matter of five days. one day warm area and things change. 24 in millville. delaware 29. reading 30. the winds diminished since earlier today. we have wind chill factors in the 20s. in lancaster the wind chill makes it feel like 19. it's cold. the reason why high pressure is over us. it's arctic high pressure. it brought us loads of sunshine. it brings us clear skies. temperatures dropping to the teens and 20s. the high pressure nudges a little farther to the east. it brings a return flow to the southwest. that warms us up. the problem tomorrow is that cold air is very dense and it will be at the surface. so the high is still chilly.
