saturday night, a family is morning the death of the young father whom they say died inside of his home tonight in horsham. tonight the investigation, continues to find out what sparked the fire, and that claimed his life. saturday night i'm walter perez. the big story on "action news" is a terrible fire that claimed a life inside a condominium complex. tonight we are learning more about the victim from his grieving family. "action news" reporter kenneth moton has the story. >> reporter: friday night victim was spending time with his brothers and friends before he came home, but what happened, a after that. family members and neighbors are still waiting to hear what caused this destructive scene. saturday night more questions than answers as people drove wye and saw aftermath of the fire that destroyed this horsham condominium. inside a fire fighters found body of the man family members believed is their loved one, 27 year-old kevin hemminger. >> he was just good spirited, always nice and always saying

high. he was a good guy. >> reporter: call came in around 4:00 a.m. on green meadow lane inside brook wood condominiums. massive fire was on the second floor. john knoll and his girlfriend were directly underneath it there was no in smoke or anything but we could smell something was off. once we got out of the bedroom and looked up the sky was orange. >> reporter: it took fire fighters two hours to get this scene under control. they thought everyone made it out safely but while they were clearing debris they discovered the badly burned body. the medical examiner is still trying to make a positive identification but saturday night family members of this young father told "action news" that they are already knowing the outcome. hemmingshore grew up in horsham owns an appliance repair. his brothers, including a twin, said he had been renting this condo for less than a year. >> it is so unfortunate because he was so young. i'm sad for him and his family and very unfortunate. >> reporter: we found other rent hours were thankful and back in their homes trying to salvage whatever they could.

>> blessed and thankful that my son and i got out but it is tragic. i mean, it is scary. >> reporter: red cross is helping four families, that were heavily damaged to several homes. victim's family says he was a father of a five-year old boy, he loved deeply. once again the cause of this fire is still under investigation. reporting live from horsham, kenneth moton for channel six "action news". a philadelphia police officer is out of the hospital tonight after getting hit by a car while responding to a shooting in kensington. it happened in the 2300 block of north fair hill street. authorities say a the the officer found a 25 year-old shooting victim in the middle of the road there, luke heard the initial commotion and ran outside. >> he was shot a couple times, he shot a couple times. >> reporter: what was he saying. >> he wasn't saying anything, he was just laying there. >> reporter: was he moving or no. >> he was moving.

>> reporter: when the the officer tried to stop the suspect that suspect allegedly hit him with the car he was driving. the suspect then took off but was later arrested along 100 block of west cambria street. he is being questioned. the the shooting victim is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds at temple university hospital. the officer was treated for his injuries at hahnemann hospital and then moved on. police are investigating a murder in wilmington as well. the it happened an hour ago at 27th and west street. victim described only as being in his 20's was shot in the head. he was pronounced dead at the scene. a 45 year-old man, was accidentally shot and killed while hunting with his father today in west windsor, new jersey and they are trying to figure out if the bullet came from your father's rifle or somebody else. it happened on the 1200 block of old trenton road. investigators say the the man was shot in the back of the head. david toledo, the owe called mayfair tire slasher, has been arrested again, this is after allegedly doing the

same thing in his new neighborhood in oxford circle. detectives started the investigation along the 1600 block of creston street after receiving a bunch of complaints about vandalism in the neighborhood. early wednesday morning a pair of septa workers say they saw a man place a mouse trap fitted with nails right in front of the parked cars tires. toledo was quickly identified as a suspect and then arrested at his home. toledo is already serving two years probation for slashing tires in mayfair two years ago. well, a warm up is on the way just in time for the workweek but we may have to make it through some rain first. meteorologist melissa magee is live at the "action news" big board with details, hi there, melissa. >> hi there walter. we have good news for start of the weekend. we are seeing a slight recovery as far as our temperatures are concerned. high today in philadelphia 46. that is warmer then yesterday's chilly high of 37. out identify tonight his two in the city. thirty-eight in the poconos. forty-two along the the coast along sea isle city. dover coming in at 41 degrees.

half marathon. so as we look at accu weather live line up we will talk about the temperatures and definitely on the chilly side but not as bad as last night. forty-two in philadelphia. thirty-eight in the poconos. reading 41. reading early this morning they had a record morning low of 15 degrees. temperatures are definitely rebounding. forty-three beach haven. sea isle city also in at 43. here's satellite six with action radar. we have pretty dry, quiet conditions but it is cloud a cross our region. there is a weak disturbance off to the north where it will stay for the rest of tonight. what we're tracking is moisture coming in from the southern plains. so from the southwest to northeast direction that is what we have in store as we get into late tomorrow night. in the mere term ahead of the moisture approaching for the marathon we have you covered. some sunshine early tomorrow morning. southeasterly wind at 48 miles an hour. 7:00 a.m. that temperature 38 degrees. once we get to noon time that temperature around 52 degrees. runners will be chilly at least to start that race but
