trenton, 42. wilmington, 44 and millville, 44 degrees, again normally for this time of the year, it's a chilly morning, compared to how cold it's been over the last couple of weeks it feels good. heavy rain pushes to the north. we won't have to deal with that system. the area of low pressure we'll be dealing or concerned with over the next 24, 36 hours it's tamed to a warm front -- attached to a warm front. all swings through tonight and drops a half inch to an inch in parts of the area. today, we're up to 55 degrees and combination of sun and clouds. coming up we'll talk about the rain and the record-warm temperatures in the forecast. and we'll focus on the coastal storm that could in the region on thanksgiving eve. >> police are investigating a deadly crash that closed a major

road. the action cam is on the scene near federal street at 130. a man was hit and killed crossing route 130. the woman who was driving the car stopped and was taken to the hospital for cuts to the face. no words if any charges will be filed. philadelphia police say they caught a tv toting robber as he was trying to make his getaway. that suspect and one other are responsible to are a home invasion. it happened on the roosevelt boulevard at 11:00 p.m. police say two men climbed through ran unlocked window on the first floor and went upstairs where a husband and wife in their 80s sleeping in the bed. they tied up the couple and stole a large screen tv and cash and jewelry. a k-9 unit tracked down the suspect carrying the large scene tv. the couple was not injured. >> police say a driver of a

nissan path finder was speeding in bear and ran a red light. the pathfinder, slammed into a nissan, a 22-year-old who was in the you will ma was killed -- ultima was killed. alec clark who was driving the ultima is in critical condition. route 40 was closed for four hours while police investigated. charges are pending in the accident. two women are hospitalized this morning after they were hit by a car in northeast philadelphia. it happened as four women left the dagwood public after 11:30. police were crossing lyndon street when the car approached the intersection. the driver began to swerve to avoid hitting the woman and was forced to stop hitting the other car heading in the opposite

direction. two of the women were hit taken to the hospital in stable condition. so far no charges westbound filed. the body of a young father was found inside a burned out condominium. early saturday morning, the firefighters were called to the condominium on green meadow lane. they battle the the massive fire that broke out on the second floor. >> there was no smoke in our apartment but we could smell something was off, once we got out of the bedroom and looked up, the sky was orange. >> reporter: firefighters thought everybody made it out safely, while clearing debris they discovered a badly burned body. family members say it is 27-year-old kevin hennininger who died. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> the so-called mayfair tire slasher is allegedly at it again. else accused of slashing tires in his new neighborhood, oxford

circle. david toledo who is on probation from his offense in mayfair is under arrest. early wednesday morning a pair of septa workers say they saw a man fitting he toledo's description place a mousetrap with nails in front of a parked tires. toledo was later arrested at his home. drivers can pay their fines with donations of nonperishable food items, each item will count always five dollars toward the cost of a passionating ticket. the food drive will end until the end of semester on december 12. the spirit of the holiday season is alive and well in the delaware valley. with the thanksgiving a few days away, food drives are in overdrive. from king of prussia to germantown where they were

>> dump trucks hauling mounds of snow in western new york. an epic snowstorm dump 7 feet in some areas of buffalo last week. some of the snow being removed was from residential streets so people can move around again. a cooperative effort from the national guard, city county and state has helped to put a dent in the massive amount of snow. 2,000 pounds of snow was removed which is the equivalent of 40,000 tons. they will get a brief warmup in temperatures that could melt the snow and lead to severe flooding. severe rain in michigan pt a rock hard layer of ice on roads. a couple of crashes were chain veakses. the ice is -- rain reactions. the ice is gone and temperatures are unseasonable warm.

freezing rain was the culprit in pittsburgh, pennsylvania, it caused black ice. dozens of accidents happened yesterday including an 7 car crash outside the city and 11 car pileup in pittsburgh. an officer suffered a concussion when he slipped on the road at an accident scene and his head hit the guardrail. a warming trend later in the day melted away the problem. >> black ice is one of the scarest thing i think. >> reporter: this is why we're so concerned about january. think about today's day, it's the end of november we've seen areas 20 to 30 degrees below zero. the upper mississippi river is frozen, there's ice on lake superior, 7 feet of snow near buffalo it's november. imagine what's going to happen when we get into january when this thing reloads. let's go live on sky 6 now that i've depressed everybody let's

will cut to the north an put us in the warm sector of this storm and that's why we're expecting rain and not snow, but on the backside the cold air rushes back in in time for thanksgiving eve that opens up a whole other can of worms. in the meantime, this is the water vapor imagery. you can see the counter clockwise spin that's the area of low pressure that will pull into the norlt into the great lakes. we'll see a period of rain ahead of the warm front between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. once that pulls through, warm front slides winds shift out of the southwest and temperatures are in the 60s and 70s in the delaware valley. it will feel like the middle of may. it will feel fantastic. future tracker 6 combination of sun and clouds today, today is milder high of 55 degrees. overnight tonight the clouds lower and thicken. here comes that shield of rain. it's a quick-moving system, so it gets in here by 9:00,

"healthcheck" this morning, a common bacteria may have new mothers worried. many adults have streps in their today. strep can make the baby i will and affect the organs and cause death. antibiotics dramatically reduce the risk of infection. running may not be as rough on the knee as thought. in fact quite the opposite. compared to none runners, are people who run have lower knee pain and arthritis. running may decrease the chances. the study was done with ordinary people not with elite runner as done in the past. >> a new study finds 3 in ten american adults may be diabetic,

but don't know it. doctors use data from an on going federal study and found 28 million adults with diabetes with 8 million of them unaware of it. virtually all of them had made regular visits to healthcare providers. the doctors shows there's dangerous gaps in screenings. a young maine mother is making a plea for a life saving kidney donation in an unusual and eye catching way. she put a message on her car that reads, my mom leads a healthy mom type o kidney. due to renal failure she must take medications a day and inject fluids inside her belly. she needs one functioning kidney

>> welcome back everyone, 9:23 sunday morning, a look at the day planner shows an improvement in the temperatures. friday's high temperature, 37. yesterday was 46. today we're shooting for a high of 55 degrees. should feel better later this afternoon. back to the coastal concerns, these are some of the confess that remain. this is what is difficult when we're talking about a coastline system specially in the month of number of. the storm's track, how quickly does it intensify, that will determine how much cold air is drawn into the storm. this being november, there will be a rain/snow line that develops. how far to the west does the rain/snow line travel. the storm develops there, some of the models take it out here, so it's a miss. others bring it up the eastern seaboard with the enough cold air approaching from the west, the question will there be a connection, where does it track,

accuweather. . hold on to your hats that's for certain, temperatures are all over the place in the seven-day forecast. we're on the chilly side this morning and things will moderate this afternoon and especially tomorrow. here's the numbers at this 9:00 a.m. hour. are 45 degrees, yesterday we topped out at 56. we're just about as warm as yesterday and it's only 9:30. 5eu8en town, 42, millville, 44. atlantic city and sea isle 47. not a bad looking day, chilly for november, but a much better feeling afternoon than what we've experienced over the last several days. this system sneaked in here overnight tonight. this is a warm front pushing out of the panhandle of florida. we'll see a period of heavier rains move in probably until 10:00 p.m. until the first part of the monday. watch what happens after the warm front punches through. yesterday's high, 46.

karen travers is following the latest developments and filed this report. >> reporter: overnight two people arrested after quiet peaceful protests. michael brown's mother marching and calling for calm. >> we've made it peaceful the entire time, i don't think it's going to change. it's who we are, we're peaceful people. >> reporter: the anxious waiting in ferguson continues. >> it's a heavy heart all around saint louis. >> reporter: the grand jury took the weekend off, it will reconconvene -- conconvene on monday. nine votes are needed to indict. nine white jurors, three black jurors, 7 men five women. they are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

businesses have boarded up the windows along the stretch. the center of the violent protests last summer. >> i want people to understand they will be safe in their homes, we have a plan ready to act and protect business and life. >> reporter: that planning includes barricades set up at the courthouse where the grand jury is meeting. 1,000 extra officers were brought into the region to help on the ground and the fbi and national guard are here as backup. karen travers, channel 6 "action news." >> a 12-year-old boy was shot by police in cleveland after it looked like he was aim a gun at people in the park. people called police saying a boy had a gun and it was pointing at them. the boy had the gun in his belt when the boy pulled it out, the officer shot him and, the weapon turned out to be a pellet gun

that was a replica of a handgun. a pregnant woman was gunned down by a masked man. investigator say the 41-year-old was 28 weeks pregnant. a 17-year-old girl and two men ages 19 and 60 were killed. johnson's 9-year-old daughter was wounded. johnson was in the car when she was shot. police are looking for motives and suspects. former washington, d.c. mayor and sphwrielts -- civil rights activist marion barry as died. he was just re-elected in 2012. ed career survived several scandal including a 1990 drug arrest that sent him to jail for 6 months. fire ripped through a camden home before dawn. the action cam was on the scene

the 500 block of mechanics street. firefighters brought the flames under control. there were no reports of injuries and no word yet on a cause. >> a fire took the life of a young father in horsham. 27-year-old kevin henninger body was found in the burned out condominium. they thought everybody made it out safely, while cleaning up debris, they discovered a body. he leaves behind a five-year-old son. a philadelphia police officer is recovering at home after being hit by a car while responding to a shooting in kensington. it happened on the 2300 block of north fairhill street. the officer found the 25-year-old shooting victim in the middle of road. a person heard the initial commotion and ran outside. >> he was shot a couple of

times. >> reporter: what was he saying? >> he wasn't saying anything, he was just laying there. >> reporter: when the officer tried to stop the suspect, the suspect allegedly hit him with the car. the suspect took off and later arrested. meanwhile, the shooting victim was is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds at temple university hospital. university of virginia has suspended at all campus fraternities after rape allegations were published in roll stone magazine. dozens of students protested. the crowd directed their anger at seven men accused of assaulting a student inside the frat house. the university president has requested a full police investigation. >> tomorrow is the deadline for the nuclear talks between iran and 6 world powers including the u.s. secretary of state john kerry request said there are serious gaps between the two sides.

kerry sat down with the iran's from him in austria where the u.s. and others are scrambling to reach a deal with iran. a european source says the likelihood of a final deal by tomorrow is very small. now the talks could be extended, but diplomats warned an expansion could push negotiations into a never-ending cycle. vice president joe biden has finished a four hour meeting with turkey, but flert briden or -- neither biden nor the president have indicate the they have resolved their issues. biden announced the u.s. is giving $1,135,000,000 in aid for syrian fill -- civilians. the trump taj is making a

the cold front coming out of the panhandle of florida that will pull to the north as an area of lch comes out of the -- low pressure comes out of the great lakes states. future tracker 6 timing it out for you, later on looking at a combination of sun and clouds, it's a nice, quiet and failure comfortable afternoon. overnight tonight we'll see the rain overspread the area. it will not last long, we're looking at a four hour window of steady preprecipitation, some of it will come down heavy at times, tomorrow morning you'll wake up to damp roads and low cloud deck. there could fog issues out there. but most of the steadier rain is gone at this point. 9:30, maybe a leftover spritz or sprinkle. that's about it. and then we focus or attention on wednesday afternoon watching the coastal storm. the cold front will be in the process of pushing through

tuesday will stall once irrelevant -- it hits the coast. the question is where does it go. the european model which is the most reliable model when we're talking about east coast storms shows this scenario here, but it's outnumbered 4-1. do you take the numbers game and shove it out to sea or go with the ones that are more contract accurate when we talk about east coast storms. if it comes up the coast, it's a close call, temperatures will be mild. there will be snow north an east and rain south and east. we could have heavy, wet snow, the kind of that makes it difficult to shovel off the walks. track number 2 is a miss for us, most of it stays out to sea with rain hugging the coastline. cooler weather moves on as on the backside as it heads to the
