here. there is trouble developing in the gulf of mexico. low pressure. what it does is reforms off of the coast of the carolinas. it moves up the eastern seaboard. this means big problems for the busiest travel day of the year. moisture is moving in early in the morning. by 7:00 it's here. primarily rain in philadelphia when it first starts. probably snow in the far western suburbs. as it intensify by the afternoon we see the mixing in philadelphia. the steadier snow in the southwestern suburbs. big problems with travel. up in and down the eastern seaboard. low clouds and fog and the heaviest precipitation between 10 and 4. rain in the southeast. i-95 is wet during the day. things can change at night. i'll talk about that in the

a crash on i-95 in delaware county claims the life of a woman this morning. the accident happened at 3:00 a.m. near the exit 6 in chester. state police say that a car hit a puddle and crashed into the barrier. three people inside were struck by a bread delivery truck. and a woman was killed. the two others are treated with serious injuries as crozer-chester hospital. [bell ringing] when pope francis made the announcement last week at the vatican that he would come to philadelphia in september. charles chaput was in the room. he has lots to say about the pope attending the meeting of

we have winter storm watches posted really just to the west of the i-95 corridor all the way from virginia up through maine for wednesday. i know it's late notice, if you are planning on flying out or driving to the north or west or the southwest on wednesday, i suggest that you do it tomorrow instead or even wait until thursday. because it's going to cause problems. hard to believe when we talk about snow when today's high a record 72 degrees. the old record 71 setback in 1979. that is 19 above normal. right now it's short-sleeved weather. 66 trenton. millville 63. and sea isle 56 degrees. the ground is warm. the ocean is warm as well. this is what makes it a tricky forecast. satellite 6 along with action radar, showing the first step is cooling things off. there is a cold front to the west. it moves through tonight.
