worse, it's happening on one of the busiest travel days of the year, our meteorologist is keeping an eye on this storm, cecily tynan will keep an eye on where you are, and watching the system. >> i'm seeing a lot of winter storm advisories and watches across the eastern seaboard, it gives you an idea of how many people are affected if are you traveling the day before thanksgiving, it spans a good 1,000 miles from north carolina and as far north and eastwards to areas in maine. we'll show you stormtracker 6 live double scan, we are tracking this low pressure off the west coast of florida, and it will make its way up the eastern say board in a northeast direction, we'll talk about storm tracker 6 and time out for precipitation on the way. it arrives in the form of rain for most locations. as the storm system intensifies

and strengthens it pulls down cold air from the north and we find accumulating snowfall from the north and west in the height of this storm system. still some mixing going on in the city. we break down the change over from rain to snow, in the northwest suburbs at 9:00 a.m. on wednesday, right along the i-95 corridor 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon and delaware and south jersey mostly rain for you. the question is, how do you get snow when we have temperatures in the 70s and record warmth yesterday and relatively colder air today. cecily has more on that. >> that is what makes this forecast tricky, yesterday 72 degrees and temperatures now are in the 50s, 54 in philadelphia, and 52 in allentown and 53 in millville and future tracker showing even tomorrow as the precipitation is here and we are getting the change over, temperatures are above freezing

at the surface. don't expect a severe icing situation but there will be a change over to snow from the colder air in the atmosphere. tomorrow if are you traveling along the i-95 corridor, it will mainly be wet and not white however if you are traveling to the northwest suburbs this is where you get the slushy accumulations during the day and with the warm air, these are not the light and fluffy snowflakes, these are the big wet, snowflakes. the big problem is visibility today and tomorrow. breaking down the northwest suburbs, we have winter storm warnings posted and this is where you get the heavy, wet snow and not a concern for the roads, you get 4 inches of snow on the tree branches and they can be pulled down. if you live near pottstown undoning town, and areas west, be prepared for power outages,

it begins as rain and changing to wet snow, a slushy accumulation on the wet surfaces, south jersey and delaware, windy and wet, once 2 inches of snow, and mainly a rain event and melissa magee will talk about the accumulations will you live coming up in the full accuweather forecast. with all the rain and snow we are expecting tomorrow, it will be a challenge for travelers trying to get to thanksgiving celebrations, it could make for quite the mess at philadelphia airports even people trying to get out on trains. john rawlins is live now at 30th street station, people are already changing their plans because of the weather tomorrow. >> the biggest impact is on drivers, almost 90% of folks will be driving and so that said the trains will be crowded and we'll see how the weather impacts them. the airlines are making it easy

that while he is sorry he would not have done anything differently. he remains in hiding after hearing that a grand jury decided not to indict him. the decision sparked protests. they burned businesses to the grown and threw rocks and bottles at police and officers responded with tear gas, today disgust and disbelief as the community comes together to patch up some of the destruction. >> i'm disappointed. i'm very disappointed. >> and michael brown's family expressed their own disappointment. >> we object purposefully and as loudly as we can, on behalf of michael brown jr.'s family that this process is broken. >> many are concerned that there could be more rioting tonight.

saying that there will be more police and national guard troops on the street. in ferguson, missouri, channel 6 "action news." >> people in philadelphia continue to gather in protest, to this decision made in ferguson, the demonstrations have been mostly peaceful and only a few arrests have been made. lets go live now to chopper 6 hd over north broad street where more than 100 people continue to walk down north broad, they began at city hall and they are continuing the move. lets look now at live ground pictures, this is within the crowd of protesters, and also in that crowd is our reporter, david henry, he is live with the very latest. >> reporter: yes, the protesters about 300 of them gathered here in dillworth park next to city hall before they started marching up broad street, there is still a lot of residual

protesters to what they say is a miss carriage of justice. >> about a dozen people gathered at noon today, and they say the case may be close in the missouri but it remains a federal investigation. they stood outside of the federal courthouse urging them to press on and bring charges against officer darren wilson. >> the only time you have a fair trial is when the federal government gets involved. >> when you go back to slavery and even today it's the federal government. >> protesters took to the streets after the ferguson decision came down and they tried to march on to 95 to stop traffic and one protester was

arrested during the failed attempt. mayor nutter had praise for the way police and protesters handled themselves throughout the night. and they blamed the violence in ferguson on the police press enand their use of tear gas. >> did not hear any explanation and more importantly, justification for why that young man was shot ten times. >> an explanation that these protesters are looking for towards cecil b. moore avenue. you'll recall that that is the location 50 years of the race riots in philadelphia of 1964, those riots lasted for three days and then finally brought

coun counties and the winter storm warning for locates turning over to snow, they go into affect as early as tomorrow. $5 $55s outside. but in the temperatures will drop down to the 40s and 30s and more specifically we'll find the change over to the cooler temperatures. 54 in sea isle city. here is satellite 6 along with action radar this is what we are tracking in the area of low pressure that once again becomes the storm. by wednesday we track the precipitation. so future tracker 6 shows you as the storm begins, across the delaware and lehigh valies, 6:00 tomorrow morning it begins in the form of rain. as the storm system intensifies it is able to generate colder air from the north.

all the way down to lancaster, you'll in the from philadelphia that mix is taking place. we'll have snow from the poconos to lancaster and the mixing line moving to the south in burlington county and points south and west. the storm system quickly races off by 8:30-9:00 tomorrow night this precipitation starting to push offshore. well, for south jersey and delaware, it looks to be mainly rain, but as you head inland on the i-95 corridor. keep in mind this storm system is coming during the heart of the day, that is when we expect the brunt of the storm, it's hard to pick up accumulations, we have snowfall accumulation on the way, it's going to put a cap on the amount of snowfall we see

to the west, up through reading and kutztown and allentown and easton, and up through the poconos 6 plus as early as tomorrow. on wednesday rain is changing to wet snow and a high temperature of 40 degrees and for thursday it will dry out but a chilly day up to just 42 degrees and friday it's cold a high of 39 and 43 as we get into saturday. we'll update you on the changes coming up. >> the buzz is coming up n.

brown as family that this process is broken. >> ferguson is calling in national guard troops in case there are more protests tonight after the mayor today criticized him for not calling in the national guard soon enough. now live over this protest that is going on for the last couple of hours in center city philadelphia, it has grown as we are watching, some 300 protesters on the ground now and on the move, starting at city hall, they made a couple of lapped around city hall and now they are at broad and cecil b. moore where they are protesting the decision not to indict officer wilson, it's peaceful protest so far, as are all the protests in philadelphia and across the region. we'll keep our eye on this, it has traffic implications and we'll have more on that coming up shortly. now to chester county where a community is mourning the death of a young couple, state

police believe that dalton and -- died of carbon monoxide poisoning inside of a car this weekend. as troopers continue to investigate what happened, those that loved the teens are banding together to cope with the sudden loss. vernon odom is live in avondale with more. >> reporter: a horrible tragedy here in rural county. these students dalton and carly were put together by school mate who's are remembering them ever so fondly. the two perished after pulling over saturday night. they were inside of this wagon coming home from a movie and were overcome by carbon monoxide. the community is shocked and

grieving. >> it hit us hard but united us in a kind of way but we are hoping things go back to normal. >> they were both very active and very well loved kids on their teems and the coaches are broken up about things. they are not aware that the carbon monoxide, the silent killer is leaking from the car from the silent exhaust, the gas tank had run until empty, there is no sign of foul play or suicide. >> it was something not expected to happen, the odds are astronomical, i can't imagine, it truly was difficult to comprehend. >> grieving students held a vinl vigil to mourn collectively. >> we said our good-byes but i didn't think that would be our

prostitution. their names are held until the grand jury investigation wraps up. philadelphia mayor nutter invited the onners of several stores that no longer sell tobacco products to city hall, they have implemented the change in a desire to help the community. any store that stops selling cigarettes and chewing tobacco gets a certificate in their recognition. one group is putting a patriotic thanks into thanksgiving. we put out thousands of thanksgiving items, a homeless shelter for veterans stopped to pack up the items, it will all go to vetted trying to get back on their feet. and in delaware people will have turkey dinners and all the

meteorologist, melissa magee along 72 yesterday? >> we had a new record 72, today relatively mild. there is a way for that to happen and i'll let you know. stormtracker 6 live double scan showing you that it's dry right now, no issues with precipitation but as you get into the overnight hours you'll see the arrival of the rain but as we go through the day on wednesday, it will change to wet snow. as we look we have the winter weather advisory, and the pink shaded counties here, we have a winter weather advisory from lancaster, rain is changing to wet snow on wednesday as we track the coastal storm working its way to the coastal seaboard. 54 in philadelphia, now we are

down in the 50s as we get into wednesday and temperatures in the 40s and upper 30s, and with that a change overfrom the rain to the snow. mostly cloudy and quiet now for much of our region, it will stay that way most of the tonight into the overnight hours, what we are tracking is the area of low pressure just off the coast of the sunshine state south of that panhandle of florida. this precipitation works from a southeast direction and tapping into the moisture from the gulf of mexico and moisture being kicked in from the atlantic and the nor'easter is on the way. the timing is back with this storm, coming the day before thanksgiving, we are tracking that precipitation moving in and it stays to the west of region as far as the low pressure is concerned we are calling for gusts as high as 30 miles per hour with the rain and wet snow, we'll time it out, 7:00 tomorrow morning rain for most locations,

as i advance this, we see a change over from rain to snow from the poconos to lancaster, some mixing going on here in philadelphia at 10:00 in the morning, all rain for south jersey and delaware, as we get into 1:00 in the morning rain is still falling and the mixing line is moving down the 95 corridor and south jersey as well. i would say if you have yet to travel to your destination, the storm system races off and at 9:00 tomorrow night, the precipitation is push ago way to the north and east. a good time to travel tomorrow night as the storm system goes by. rain in delaware and 1 to 3 inches of that corridor in north chester and buck county there, we can find 3 to 6 inches of snow, the same thing holds through for lancaster and even
