the lehigh valley monitoring road preps and cecily tynan and melissa magee is tracking the system's path. lets begin with cecily for the latest from stormtracker 6 live double scan. >> stormtracker 6 live double scan showing that the ingredients are beginning to come in place for the storm system. can you see all this have moisture surge agoing ahead of this low pressure in the gulf of mexico. it's pulling in moisture from the gulf and tapping into moisture from the atlantic as it hugs the coast 100 miles offshore and moving quickly at 40 miles per hour at its peak. this will have widespread impact i should say. can you see the warnings and advisories posted from the carolinas to eastern maine that, is about 1,000 miles and this is why we are urging people to really have your traveling tonight or wait it out until thanksgiving, because one change to this system is its speed,

it's picking up its speed and the rain will be here by day break. primarily philadelphia to the south it's starting as rain. however, the storm system will create its own air, mixing in fltd and then rain across areas of south jersey and delaware. so the timing is really key, the change over is quick in the northwest suburbs between 7:00 and 9:00, the changeover from heavy rain to snow. philadelphia to the metro area is close to lunch time, south jersey and delaware you'll get the action with some snow. it comes late 4:00 until 7:00, and for details on that lets go to melissa magee. >> it's hard to believe that yesterday we had temperatures of lower 70s and upper 60s and now the temperature as long the i-95 corridor are in the 50s and

overnight and more specifically on wednesday the temperatures drop below freezing and upper 30s and close to 40 degrees, a big concern if you are traveling tomorrow if you are out and about on roads, mainly wet on the i-95 corridor. turning fleshy, and we are expecting the heavier amounts of accumulation there. big wet snowflakes are a concern and reduced visibility because of the rain and wet snowfall is reducing the visible on the roads. in our northwest suburbs, heavy wet snow and branchs could be an issue with the wet snow and power concerns from lancaster to the east, down the i-95 corridor, this starts as rain and turning to wet snow in the afternoon hours and slushy accumulation on the grasses, from doylestown to glassboro and areas of salem in south jersey. soaking rain and this could end

ferguson, missouri, a grand jury decided not to indict police officer, darren wilson in the shooting death of michael brown. the decision is over but the ripple affects are still being felt. this is the scene in overhead ferguson, buildings burnt to the ground, as some protesters responded in anner, they called the torching of property extremely heart breaking and this is a bit of cleanup, picking up the pieces including this mother and her children with at least a dozen businesses badly dpathed. also today a growing scene, a growing memorial for michael brown, being left in the spot in the street where brown's body remained for hours after the deadly shooting. >> we are monitoring the deadly scene over temple university's

campus. this crowd has gathered at cecil b. moore in response to the grand jury's decision, hundreds of people there and this is the scene a couple of hours ago, that same crowd made its way to city hall to cecil b. moore, hundreds of protesters march through the city showing their displeasure of the grand jury's decision not to indict darren wilson. >> as you see here hundreds blocked traffic and disrupted traffic in the city, protesters blocked the highway in ferguson, the fire department said it was unsafe to do their jobs because of gun fire in the area. this photo here taken inside a walgreens as the violence erupted after the grand jury's decision. they said it's time for all

the fda has finalized new rules so restaurants from the theaters to the fat food they have to have their menu calorie counts posted. >> four years ago they posted they had to post calorie regulations, the federal rule said it will all change with

restaurants with 20 or more locations, will have to have calories posted no matter their location. >> it's estimated americans eat a third of their calorie as way from home and without information posted it's hard to tell how many calories you are eating, in order to change that and make healthier choices, the fda finalized two rules when it comes to labelling. all food publishments with one or more locations have to list calorie content and fat, sugar and sodium must we be available upon request and the new rule includes some alcohol beverages and movie popcorn and vending machines. owners that have 20 or more vending machines must display

discontinuing service to wilmington to florida. they started ads saying flying out of philly is silly. children in north philadelphia came together today to call for peace in their community. parents, teachers and students from julio elementary school held a march for peace this afternoon, they made their march to lehigh avenue to fifth street. students carried signs asking everybody in the neighborhood to keep the peace. philadelphia firefighters are working hard to get warm coats for everybody in need. to kick off the annual coats for kids fundraiser, they raised money from today until christmas day. to buy new winter coats for kids. firefighters bought 230 coats and this year they hope to top that. a secure retirement.

weather service is, the winter storm warning where we expect the heaviest snow accumulation. north western buck county and all areas north and west, those are the warnings and can you see the advisories extend farther down to the south including philadelphia and delaware and mercer counties, these are the areas we'll see accumulating snows but part of the reason is the temperatures, we were in the 70s and now in the 50s, allentown dropped down to 45 and philadelphia 52 degrees, tomorrow when the moisture moves in in the wee hours in the morning it's still really warm, temperatures except for the poconos well above freezing, the poconos the one part of the viewing area will be all snow. as we head into the -- the

temperatures drop at the surface and are marginal and the temperatures will fall. this is not a blockbuster storm for the i-95 corridor, that being said, stormtracker 6 live double scan showing this storm system has plenty of moisture. they have about 400 lightning strikes in the last few minutes, it will be intensifying quickly and it also races up to the northeast at 40 miles per hour. that brings the moisture in a little earlier than we were talking about yesterday, probably between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning, by 7:00 the rain is here and light snow in the poconos. the far northwest suburbs, it changes over to snow very quickly. but when you see the purple here, it's heavy snow, we'll see banding in the far north and west suburbs and the rain south and east of philadelphia and the changeover in philadelphia, still mainly rain in south

jersey and delaware. 5:00 the snow is tapering down and by 9:00 it's out of here, there is no blocking high pressure to capture the storm system and slow it down. the expected snowfall amounts in line for where we are talking about yesterday. mainly rain and the i-95 corridor and wilmington and trenton, 1 to 3 inches. we get into a part of the regions for the winter storm warnings, western montgomery 3 to 6, this is one change we are making, we are including the lehigh valley and allentown in the 3 to 6 plus band. if you are traveling tomorrow, philadelphia may be raining but it's snowing hard in the lehigh valley and the poconos. the biggest concern is travel delays, the reduced visibilities, these are the thick, chunky snowflakes, mainly wet, the i-95 corridor and the new jersey turnpike is slushy

tracking the winter storm warning coming into our area ton. the entire area will see rain, snow or a mixture of the two. road crews are making sure that they are ready for whatever falls from the sky. >> the store in newcastle delaware was buzzing with people stocking up on supplies, it was about getting bags and bags of road salt and shovels before they ran out.
