find a boisterous bunch of fans. >> speaking of humpdy dumpdy, we warned david not to fall on the walk there. >> reporter: we have flurries on the terrace. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows how there's a little bit of a light snow shower pulling away from areas close to channel 6 and north of philadelphia. that big batch of them over the lehigh valley and trenton earlier is pushing away. trenton might have lingering flurries. we have temperatures that are dipping near the freezing mark and again we have an issue with patchy ice on untreated areas like streets and sidewalks. if you're heading to the car to do whatever you're doing for thanksgiving, do be careful don't hurt yourself before the holiday gets underway. you'll see cloud cover today. temperatures are cold, 36 in philadelphia. closer to the freezing mark in allentown and millville. in between these numbers you

could have surface temperatures below freezing. the windchills are making it feel like 30 across the region, so bundle up. as we roll through the day, we'll get into the low 40s. 42 is the high. matt what are roads looking like. >> reporter: be careful out there mr. murphy. we had to call a tow truck to the scene of a pick up truck that ran off the ramp woodhaven road the eastbound lanes of i-95. we have slick spots this morning especially on the ramp. this poor guy ended up in the woods. the tow trucks should be out of the way shortly. of course we have all the big parade closures around the art museum down the parkway and jfk boulevard all the streets blocked off as they are each thanksgiving day morning. we're watching a crash on the boulevard this morning, northbound direction near the oxford circle in the outer drive. stick with the inner drive as you head north.

they are cleaning up the crash from the overnight hours in pottstown and blocking off industrial highway in the process between keim and mosser road. city on high street or use 422 as alternates. the crash in new castle county along the ramp to 273 northbound that's cleared. mass transit is on holiday detour with the septa buses because of the parade. >> we're talking about, preparation are in full swing for the 6abc dunkin' donuts thanksgiving day parade. dancers got in last minute rehearsing at the philadelphia museum of art. >> and the giant floats are getting pumped up for parkway. >> john rawlins is at inflation station. >> reporter: hello, good morning, again, yes we'll be joined by 20 marching bands and 17 floats. so far the focus has been on the balloons behind me here.

white hall township disappeared last friday one of the first people to jump into the effort to find her was her stepfather, but police say he was her killer. the suspect led him to her body's yesterday. he shot her in the back of the head in the house and buried her body behind a she had on -- shed on the property. >> it appears that the motive was a sexual assault motive. there was servantly a sex angle to the crime. that is still being developed in terms of of the particular nature of it. but based on on what the investigators have learned, there's clearly some motive that involves a sexual assault i would call it or an attempted assault on this victim. >> the 33-year-old victim was the mother of 3 and recently gotten married. investigators expect the autopsy to give them more details on her death. >> police in south jersey are

hoping to find people behind two cases of credit card fraud. the people in these pictures committed the fraud at the two walgreens one at choose landing and laurel road and the other at berlin and white horse road. investigatorsing did not say how the fraud was committed. if you recognize them call lindenwald police. >> the eagles are slight underdogs in the contest against the dallas cowboys. don't tell the fans who turned out in texas yesterday. they gave the eagles a warm welcome. >> it's a big game for us, big game for them. everything is at stake here. one thing we can't get caught up in, it's one more game. >> the lead is on the line right, we're focused on winning the game. >> a full recap of the game and

exclusive interviews and special edition of eagles game day final tonight on "action news" at 11:00. >> 6:08. yesterday's storm left its mark on major portions of the tri-state area. especially in the northwest suburbs, like allentown. for homeowners and small business owners shoveling the sidewalks proved to be back breaking at times. the snow that did accumulate turned out to be wet and heavy. >> some of it could be creep on to the roads. >> reporter: and the sidewalks, be careful where you have snow on the lawns, things might have gotten slick on the streets and sidewalks. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you most of the snow is gone from overnight. we have a couple of nuisance snow showers, popping to the north of center city philadelphia. that's going to push toward the east over the next half-hour possibly. the big batch of snow showers is moving away from us across the

delaware river and north jersey. down the shore, no precip down there. as we look at the temperatures, that's the story for most of you. 36 in philadelphia. 35 if wilmington, 34 in trenton, 37 in sea isle city. the windchills are down around 30 degrees, that's what it feels like as you head outside early. snow, we've got some in the poconos. 9 inches in lake harmony. we have the 3 to 6-inch range in the northern and western suburbs. the 1 to 3 in the i-95 corridor. chadds ford 2 1/2, gilbertsville, 3.2 inches. as we look at satellite there's a lot of cloud cover to the south. don't think we have to worry about the precip, we might see a flurry wrapping through. but generally speaking we're seeing clouded cover. up in allentown, a flurry

possible at times. mostly cloudy at times. down the shore, milder, as has been the case for the last month or so. cloudy and cool, dry. in philadelphia, high this afternoon, thanksgiving day 42 degrees. looks like we'll maintain fairly cloudy skies, about you wind on the hole should be light which is nice, that's why we're getting the balloons inflated down there. 35 by 8:00. 39 by 11:00. 42 is the high, we'll sit on that around 3, but we'll be back in the 30s by 5:00 p.m. looks like it will be okay for travel. 35 by 8:00. 37 by noon, 40 degrees by 4:00. winds running as high as 8 to 16 in spots. i think most of us are looking at a 4 to 6-mile an hour wind. shoppers get your coats on

the front of the art museum steps as part of the 6abc dunkin' donuts thanksgiving day parade. >> the handlers of humpdy dumpdy being extra caution because we know he has kind of a shattered history. >> reporter: and there was that tragedy with my little pony who had problems this morning. hopefully everybody stays in tack, including mr. potato head who is known to lose limbs, as well. the off ramp to spring garden will be closed in a little bit. west river drive is blocked, as well, because of the parade they are a couple of of a number of closures the parkway, the inner portion of kelly drive, jfk, 20th and 15th, all blocked like they are each thanksgiving of we have a 5-mile an hour going on in the park today.

>> 6:26, taking a live look at philadelphia international airport. doesn't look like much is going on, but there are folks who decided to fly out today for their thanksgiving destinations. a woman called 911 early to report that she and her male companion got stuck on the side of a cliff in southern california. a rehe man went down the the cliff to rescue them. >> sierra leone accounted for more than half of the cases of ebola, the cases appear to be

stabilizing or falling in liberia. 16,000 have been sickened and 5700 have died. meanwhile, reachers report that an experimental ebola vaccine appear to be safe. the test subject develop antibodies within a month of getting the shot. the researchers reported no serious side effects. they hope to start much larger studies in liberia to approve imroot -- approve whether or not the vaccine works. >> what bill cosby said under oath about one of his accusers. >> repel.peller. elle.

we're live with workers as they blow up balloons as we get ready for thanksgiving day. firefighters battle cold temperatures and scorching flames to put out a fire. we're with the eagles in dallas as they get ready for their showdown with the cowboys. >> good morning, 6:30, november 27. happy thanksgiving, i can smell the turkey and stuffing. let's go over to david murphy and matt pellman who have the latest in weather and traffic. >> reporter: it's nice that it's a holiday. we have flurry activity on the terrace. i can't tell if it is precipitation or blowing off the roof a little bit. we have snow showers around, it's close enough to channel 6 i'm getting a spinoff from that. the snow showers will not last, i don't think it's doing a whole lot on the ground. having said that, we did get snow and sleet.

cloudy skies over the ben franklin bridge. the main issue for everybody this morning is how chilly it is. 36 degrees in philadelphia. some suburbs in the low 30s and the winds light northwest at 6 miles per hour. as we take a look at snowfall amounts we got what we were calling for, only a trace in philadelphia, because we have a lot of sleet mixing in, that diminished the total. in would i -- in wymissing 3. wayne, 3.3. and greater folder 2.8 -- graterford 2.8. hockessining, greeneville, florence and trenton, haddon heights,.2 of an inch of snow. we have icy patches on sawks and side streets -- sidewalks and side streets. satellite showing we have snow showers that are leaving. looks like it will stay mainly

cloudy for your thanksgiving. chilly, but better than yesterday, dry, nothing more than flurries around, 35 by 8:00. 35 by 11:00. 42 is the high, around 2:00. we'll hold that around 3:00 it's back to the upper 50s by 35:00 p.m. high temperatures across the region, 39 in allentown. that's about as cool as a high we'll see. millville, and atlantic city, 44 degrees. for the parade itself it will be chilly, not a strong wind, but with temperatures starting out in the mid 30s, it's possible that the windchills will be in the upper 20s, 36 by 10:00. 37 by noon. bundle up up and down the parade, many, many years, you guys know how to do it, do you need you've got the good jackets and calves -- scarves on. a lot of people are lining up to get into the stores when they open black friday.

slammed into a water treatment plant. police are trying to determine what led to the schain of events. investigators have not released the name of the driver and a stretch of the road is closed while police investigate. >> matt will start with that in traffic. >> reporter: it's been closed for a number of hours, industrial highway is blocked between keim and mosser road. think alternates. including high to the north or 422 itself as an alternate. while we're in this neck of the woods, i got word from penndot they are going to start a new phase of the construction project along 422 between 100 and the stowe interchange. christmastime you're going to one lane in each direction along 422. we'll be talking about that in the coming days and weeks. here's construction news.

franconia township they opened west godshaw road. things should be less confusing there. a number of 5ks going on at jimmy's run central bucks west at court street. watch out for local closures. we've got plenty because of the 6abc dunkin' donuts thanksgiving day parade. him few you're sticking with the highways nearby, the vine street expressway is looking good, the ramps will be closed throughout the day because of the parade. >> someone opened fire inside a barber shop in reading. the scene of another shooting the day before. it happened at the all star hair studio in rock landslide plaza shopping center. someone shot at the same business on tuesday night, but nobody was hurt in that incident. police are looking for the

gunman. new details have emerged about how worried bill cosby was about accusations of sex assault many years ago. he cut a deal with the national eninquirer. he testified under oath in 2005 that he gave an exclusive story in explaining for the promise that the tabloid would not run a second accuser's story. the woman cosby talked about was andrea constand. she moat him while working at temple. she filed a civil lawsuit in 2005 which he settled a year later. >> we get another look at inflation station as we get a look at the kickoff at the thanksgiving. >> we'll get a look at at the turkeys who got a presidential pardon. >> reporter: if you're dressing
