accuweather seven-day forecast. >> reporter: 9:00 a.m., we're doing better than yesterday. the sunshine is shining down, as well. the winds are picking up, ushering the milder air. feels fantastic. that's the view of center city. look at the improvement, 35 degrees in allentown. above freezing. philadelphia, 45. millville, 46. sea isle city, 49 and trenton 43. which is 18 degrees milder than this time yesterday. wildwood and atlantic city, 20. poconos 15 degrees milder than this time yesterday. wilmington and millville, both 16 and tomorrow morning the temperatures are going to be even milder still as the warm front continues to push on in from the southwest. the warm front is actually hanging just here, just up here to the north. pushing through buffalo and binghamton, even are those locations are in the 50s. 45 degrees by 9:00 a.m. we're sitting at that right now.

to shopping online and steeper discounts are expected this year. mean while, thanksgiving took a bite out of black friday sale. there was a 7% decease from last year which may be due to more stores opening early on thanksgiving day. sales from thursday itself jumped to 24%. well, many holiday shoppers went locally in support of small business saturday. special deals were offered by the mom and pop stores. the promotion was started as a campaign by american express to rejuvenate the local economy. a special day for local stores in the middle of black friday and cyber monday. >> i was pleasantly surprised to come down the street and see so many people on the street. >> most of the owners live within five miles of main street, the money they are specked -- spending here, they

are spending the money locally and supporting the local nonprofits and local community groups. >> there are 23 million small businesses across the u.s. sales on small business saturday over the past two years has surpassed five billion dollars. >> police are looking for a killer who gunned down a man at a party at a philadelphia home. the action cam was at the scene in the strawberry mansion section of the city. officers say at 2:30, someone shot a man in the head. it happened in the alley behind the house where the party was taking place. when officers arrived they found dozens of people screaming and running from the house. police are questioning those at the party. so far they have made no arrests. the 35-year-old's body was found in the alley. the action cam was at the scene of west aldwean avenue and north 7 -- allegheny avenue, and north 7th street. a victim was walking on street

at 2:20, when a gunman and a woman stopped him and demanded money. the gunman wounded the victim in the leg, the two suspects ran off. the police nabbed the gunman, the woman is still on the loose. >> search teams continue to look for a missing wefort -- west chester student. kenneth moten has the details. >> reporter: police are looking for tips. this missing man's parents are asking residents to check their alley away and businesses in manayunk have flyers on their windows as they ask where is shane. saturday night it was supposed to be a tree lighting in manayunk, instead the community cancel and they had a candle light vigil for the missing west

this is the damage after a sheet of ice came off a van and hit another car in new hampshire. the ice smashed into the windshield of the car driven by a woman with her two daughters

yesterday morning. nobody was hurt. the van traveling in the opposite direction never stopped. something to remember when you're driving this winter when you have snow or ice on your car, you need to remove it. >> reporter: unfortunately when you're talking about mix precipitation events it's almost impossible to get it off the car, you start out with snow, and it rains and it freezes, sometimes there are exceptions. but i hear you, you need to remove the snow from the car. that's a view of atlantic city, lots of sunshine, temperatures in the 40s. storm tracker 6 live double scan no issues out there we're clear. temperatures are starting to climb right now. we're sitting at 45 degrees, dewpoint, 33. winds out of the south/southwest at 11 miles per hour. poconos 34. yesterday, 6 degrees, that was your morning low there, big

improvement in the poconos. trenton, 43, millville, 46. wilmington, 45. lancaster, 39 degrees, as you look to the west, you can see the milder temperatures. charlie ton, 60. pittsburgh, 56. buffalo, 8 inches of snow -- 88 inches of snow about a week ago, now we're seeing temperatures in the 50s. this will be close to our high today, close to 60 degrees as we head into monday. you look farther to the west across the northern plains this is where the cold is starting to reload. the big difference with the next shot of cold air, the last several have dropped into the deep south making its way down into the panhandle of florida. this is moving west to east, it will hug the u.s./canadian border. we'll get clipped by this tuesday, that will drop the temperatures down to 41, 42, give or take in the city. it could be a mixed bag of

precipitation. it's moving so quickly by wednesday we're back in the 50s. if you're traveling out of philadelphia international. there's no weather issues out there. only major hub that may see delay is san francisco because of rain. warm front continues to pull to the north, winds shifting out of the southwest so temperatures are on the mild side. high of 55. we'll get into monday we'll start to see some quick changes with the temperatures. we'll start out mild, sunshine, clouds on the increase, as the front gets closer, a couple of showers may develop late in the day. once the front crosses, the temperatures fall off a cliff again and that sets up tuesday morning. we get into monday afternoon, monday morning maybe starting out with a little sun. monday after, clouds increase, here come 89 showers dotting the cold front. tuesday morning the cold air is dropping south so quickly some of the rain could change over to

a period of wet snow before it ends. temperatures will be on the mild side, cool, but mild, freezing is 32, we're talking temperatures around 37 or 38. if it is snowing at this point, more than likely it will not stick to area roadways, but it's something we have to watch closely. just the slightest shift toward the north you get into areas north and west of philadelphia. all of a sudden, the temperatures would be below freezing. it's something we have to watch. mostly cloudy and cooler in allentown. it's warmer than yesterday, but cooler than the other numbers around the delaware valley. 46 degrees for the lehigh valley. atlantic city ten better. 56 degrees with a combination of sun and clouds. philadelphia, 55 degrees, so, again, a milder afternoon around the delaware and lehigh valleys. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, even milder still tomorrow, 60 degrees, maybe that spotty shower late in the day. tuesday, brisk and colder high of 42. north and west you're staying in the 30s. clouds for wednesday, a shower or two, 555.

vitamin d will lead to diabetes or early death. some people with osteoporosis should take it to prevent tbract turs. -- fractures. fda has finalized new rules so foods from the restaurant to the movies have to have their calories posted. ali gorman has the details. >> reporter: four years ago, philadelphia began requiring chain restaurants to post information about calories fats, carbohydrates and sodium. the federal rule means all changes with 20 or more locations have to post calories on their menu or menu board no matter their location. it is estimated americans eat a third of their calories away from home. without information posted, it's hard to tell how many calories you're eating. in an efforts to change that and

help people make healthier choices. the fda has finalized two rules of the road all food establishments with 20 or more locations have to list calorie count. the rule includes alcoholic drinks. it covers takeout foods at salad bars and popcorn at the movies and vending machines, operators who own 20 or more vending machines must display calories. the fd a a has been working on the rules for 4 years. the national restaurant association welcomed the rules saying it will make one consistent standard for the whole country eliminating the variations in state and local regulations. restaurants have until next year to comply.

traveling anywhere. mild weather south and east, colder stuff north and west. in the panhandle temperatures are much, much milder. some of the major hubs around the mid atlantic and northeast, lots of green with like to see that, dallas is on time, minneapolis, chicago, detroit, all the hubs are on time. the only issue today will be out here in northern california area of low pressure sitting off the coast. this will continue to fire off little batches of moisture that will hit the could feel coastline throughout the day. places like oakland and san francisco maybe there are delays there. otherwise across the lower 48. should be nice and quiet. philadelphia on time, logan, 47. all flights on time there. chicago, midway, 46. look at orlando, all quiet. temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

a poll found americans plan to spend $720 on gifts up from $704 last year. 25% plan to spend a thousand or more on holiday shopping while 21% say they will spend $500 in purchases. about 9% of americans say they won't spend anything. barbie has been bumped from her perch atop the holiday toys top spot. the coveted spot goes to merchandise from the animated hit no surprise, frozen. one in five parents say they plan to purchase a toy related to the hit film from disney, the parent company of 6abc. it is the first time in 11 years, barbie was not the number one choice. in illinois a bell ringer is bringing style and cheer to his

>> reporter: hey, nydia and eva, i can tell you 2.6 million americans will be flying home on this day, expected to be the busiest travel day of the year. take a look behind me, this is a chunk of the travelers expected to fly home today. so far people have been packing their patience, walking through the line, is calm through the tsa heading to their gates. aaa is projecting 43 million americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during this holiday weekend, but i can tell you that a lot of them are going to be traveling by car, a lot of people said they decided to take the train and this year those people traveling by air are seeing good airfares, too, that's one of the incentives to fly. the average is $187 a ticket. that's what people are looking at this year. tomorrow is expected to be the

investigation into a police-involved killing of an unarmed man. jurors heard last week from what is believed to be the final witness. the video was taken in july wrapping his arm around the victim's neck. new york police are not allowed to use choke holds, garner had asthma. jurors will decide where the officer faces criminal charges. darren wilson stepped down five days after grand jury declined to indict him in the shooting death of michael brown. that fatal shooting ignited protests in ferguson and across the country. those protests continue today. >> demonstrators are marching from ferguson to the missouri state capitol in jefferson city.

>> a small plane was forced to make an emergency landings in an unusual place this weekend. the middle of a busy road. happened in west hartford, connecticut after the pilot lost power. the right wing was torn off after it got stuck on a fence. nobody was hurt. there was a second emergency landings on a roadway this weekend this happened in cape coral florida after the pilot ran out of gas mid flight. he was halfway out when the small plane began to spurt and back -- spulter and -- sputter and backfire. he tried to turn around, but he had to make an emergency

landing. >> how do you forget to fill up the gas. >> reporter: that should be number one. let's go live on sky 6 we'll talk a little weather in the delaware valley. that's the view in old city, it's nice and quiet this morning, becoming breezy. temperatures wise it feels better. 45 degrees in philadelphia. dewpoint, 33. winds out of the south, southwest at 11 miles per hour. trenton, 43. millville, 46. wilmington, 45. we'll see mixed skies throughout the duration of the day, combination of sun and clouds, no weather threats out there, all the activity associated with the warm front in the process of pulling through that will stay to the north up in new england. the lower 48 is nice and quiet. you have to go to the packed northwest to pick up any moisture thanks to the southern branch. jet stream. areas like oakland and san francisco and reno, nevada could be weather delays, everybody else it's nice and

quiet. we get into monday we'll see highs in the low 60s, monday evening this is where the forecast turns interesting, it will be a race, we'll see how quickly that moisture moves out, as the cold air pulls on in. him you can see this with our wind barb. here's later today. we'll see winds out of the south, that's a mild wind flow for us. we get into tomorrow afternoon, you see the convergence line that's the cold front. tomorrow morning it's well to the northwest. temperatures will be mild in the delaware valley. monday night and tuesday, winds shift out of the north and that's when the cold air starts bleeding into the mid atlantic again. if the moisture is still around it could turn the rain over to snow tuesday morning. lots of ups and downs over the next seven days. 55 degrees, 60 for monday, and then the cold front pulls through and we're down to 42 degrees tuesday, north and west it will be a struggle to get out of the 30s. here's future tracker 6, combination of sun and clouds, monday morning starting out with
