stormtracker 6 live double scan showing we have a lull in the action, just a little bit of misting going on and we are in between batches of precipitation, the first batch that moved through earlier today is off the coast of new england, if you look at parts of virginia and west virginia, this is the next batch that is moving in and it's associated with a warm front that is lifting through our region, that precipitation will come along with warmer temperatures, however, the problems, north and west suburbs are around the freezing point, winter weather advisories continues for bucks and chester and berks county and lancaster and the lehigh valley and poconos. this is where we have the best chance of seeing freezing rain until 10:00 and after 10:00 even in these reasons, temperatures are climbing above freezing. philadelphia right now this is a rain event, 37 degrees, too warm

"action news." 6 abc obtained ex cluesive video of a crash that left a man in critical condition, and now police are searching for the suspect or anyone that can identify the victim. david henry is live at the scene in west philadelphia with the latest on the case. >> reporter: hi rick, that video is rather chilling and of course we'll not be showing you all of it because it shows the moment of impact, let me set up the scene, this is market street, traveling east and west, the car was coming down 59th like that car there, it's victim was crossing between the bridge abutments when he was hit by the car. lets look at the exclusive video, you can see the car clearly, a silver colored volvo station wagon enter the

intersection at a high rate of speed and the man is hit and he drive as way and people come to his aid. he is a black male in his 20s, he has massive trauma to the head and chest and so far they have not been able to identify him and they are seeking help from the public to identify the car, the silver or light colored volvo and on the video you can see the police car pull into the scene 11 seconds after the moment of impact with its lights on, we don't know if the car was being chased or not but the police car was right thereafter impact. police want help if you have seen this volvo and if you know

someone that has a car like that, and has damage now, police want you to call 911 right away. david henry, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. from the "action news" satellite center to a story we are following now, robert williams, a philadelphia rapper known as meek meal, he walked out of prison today a free man, but it was back in july when mill was sentenced to three to six months for violating his probation stemming from a drug case in 2009, his release from a private prison in north philadelphia, means mill served five months and during that time a judge ordered that he undergo anger management. the artist was set to release an album in september. upon his release, mill is expected to be placed back on

has the traffic report tonight. >> we are watching the royal delays that is for sure. it's mostly wet in the city and slick spots possible north and west, despite the chance that it's just wet and really slow in both directions, the westbound jam joining up with the delay on the schuylkill westbound out to the boulevard, because of the roosevelt boulevard, it's still locked up at the schuylkill, the crash that we had here is blocking lanes here for a while just cleared out in the last few minutes. extra heavy on the northbound side of 1, off the boulevard, robbins street is still closed because of the early truck accidents. and in new london, a crash along newark road and oxford road and blocking the ramp from the black horse pike in barrington and speeds just in the teens. we'll check it again in the next half hour. >> thank you.

an explosion turned this home into a pile of charred rubble in chicago, the fire department responded to 911 calls about a possible gas leak, crews were going door-to-door to evacuate neighbors when a blast occurred. it ignited and exploded and torched the home. hersheys says it's giving consumers what they want. the chocolate company is looking to replace high fructose corn syrup in some of its products with real sugar, they are trying

degree, these are the areas when the next round of precipitation moves into there will be some icing, south jersey and delaware warmer. an easterly flow off the ocean, the ocean temperature is 46 degrees and the temperature as long the coast generally in the mid-40s, so there it's just been rain. what a difference a day makes though, it's 21 degrees colder in philadelphia than this time yesterday, yesterday felt like spring time and wilmington 22 degrees colder and dover 25 degrees colder and now as we head through the overnight hours, temperatures are actually warming. satellite 6 along with action radar showing what is going on is there is a warm front moving through the virginias and this will bring us winds from the southwest, and that is warmer air and it's coming with precipitation. between now and about 10:00, some of it will be icy in the far northwest suburbs. basically glazing on the cars
