takes a disastrous turn. a man fell into the christina river and hasn't been seen since. >> bill cosby is experiencing more fallout from decades old rape allegations but the latest one could send him to court. >> and some wet, some dreary and some foggy weather is sticking around for your morning commute. >> let's find out more about that and go on over to karen rogers. she's in for dave murphy and matt pelman has the roads. good morning. >> good morning. satellite 6 and action radar showing us that we do have some showers in place and what you can see from this is really that we're getting the building out here from the southwest. so, while we have some showers and it is just showers with temperatures above freezing, we've got some more showers that are going to be taking its place. not horribly wet all day but some spotty showers here and there. you're going to want to watch for it as you go. here's a closer view with storm tracker 6 live double scan, your best view of exactly what's happening through this region and we can see some light showers moving through the city right here and here's some of the heavier stuff that's starting to hit coatesville right now so looking for that in chester county.

visibility is an issue as well. .3 of a mile visibility in mount pocono, 1.3 in allentown. not really a big deal at philadelphia international airport at 9-mile visibility but in some spots we're seeing this patchy fog from this milder air that's moving in. so we are above freezing now and we're going up to 53 today. so, by 9:00 a.m., 43 with clouds and a spotty shower around. by noon, about 49 degrees. by 3:00 p.m., 52, clouds and a shower here or there. we should be dry by 6:00 p.m. and the clouds will start to break and that temperature 48. fortunately we're not worried about slippery roads, matt, but it is wet out there. >> it definitely is so the weather conditions not really on our side for the morning commute, karen. good morning, everybody. we've seen a number of accidents already including another one here in glen mills. we started the morning with one in the northbound lanes of 202. that cleared out and about a half hour later one happened in the southbound lanes right at baltimore pike route 1. you can see this vehicle involved pretty badly damaged and they still have all the southbound lanes of 202 shut down as they attempt to clean up and tow away the vehicles. so, dickinson drive a

possible, very local alternate. think i'd stay on britton lake road as a better bet. a crash in pottstown this morning, north charlotte street at saint john street. stick with spruce or evans as some alternates. have the ongoing work zone with new restrictions along 422. there's a crash involving a pedestrian in bridgeport to avoid right by franzone's. stay over on 202 dekalb pike instead. there's a building fire in narberth shutting down montgomery avenue this morning between old golf road and brookhurst avenue there by the manhattan bagel. maybe use bryn mawr avenue, wynnewood road or lancaster avenue as some possible alternates around that situation. tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. and the search is expected to resume this morning for a man who fell into the christina river after a barge overturned. start when the sun comes up this morning for a person who was thought to have fallen into the christina river in the port of wilmington when a barge capsized last night much this is video of the search efforts last night. now, just before 7:00 an employee with the norfolk dredging company called the coast guard after the barge capsized saying three crew members fell into the water. two of them were rescued quickly. crews are still searching for 25-year-old emanuel gatling. he was reportedly wearing an orange float coat. now, the search is expected again to resume once the sun comes up. wilmington fire crews and the coast guard are helping in this search. we are live here in wilmington, delaware, eva pilgrim channel6 "action news." >> all right, eva thank you. new on "action news" a nasty three-vehicle crash in west philadelphia sent two people to the hospital. the action cam was on the scene at 54th and chestnut streets just before 1:00 a.m.

one of the cars took out a traffic light pole. two victims were taken to the hospital with various injuries. it is unclear what caused the cars to crash. >> new this morning, police are looking for the suspect who stabbed a man on the roosevelt boulevard. police were called to cottman and the boulevard in northeast philadelphia around 8:15 last night and there they found man in the street. he had been stabbed in the abdomen. he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. police are looking for the suspect, the weapon and a motive. >> trouble continues to mount for philadelphia native bill cosby. yet another woman has come forward claiming he molested her when she was just 15 years old. and this accusation is already led to a lawsuit. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live at the big board with the details. hi, erin. >> hi, matt. bill cosby unable to find any reprieve from these allegations. now for the first time a woman has gone public claiming cosby abused her when she was underage. judy huth filed a sexual battery lawsuit stating the comedian molested her in a playboy mansion around 1974.

now covering to huth the alleged abuse occurred after cosby gave her several drinks and told her to lie about her age if anyone at the playboy mansion happened to ask. this news comes just a day after cosby resigned from temple university's board of trustees amid the mounting sexual allegations against him. the board's chairman spoke about cosby's split from his alma mater. >> as he said to me, my issues are becoming a distraction to the temple university. i love temple. i don't want temple to be harmed by my personal issues. >> reporter: cosby has remained silent on the allegations but his attorneys have continued to maintain his innocence. however, they have not responded to this new lawsuit but all the accusations have certainly put a dent in his recent career comeback effort. several of his shows have been canceled and netflix and nbc have shelved projects featuring cosby. tam, back to you. >> okay, erin, thank you for that. a staten island grand jury could vote as he willy as

today. at issue is whether an nypd officer should face charges for the choke hold death of a man last july. police arrested eric garner who weighed about 350 pounds for illegally selling loose cigarettes. watch as officers take him down and you'll notice one officer with his arm around garner's neck. garner cries out and says he can't breathe before his body goes limp. the medical examiner ruled his cause of death was "compression of neck" but also found asthma obesity and cardiovascular disease were among contributing factors. community leaders are hoping there is not violence here like there was in ferguson whenever the announcement is made. >> 5:36. and new here a man from washington state has been arrested for threatening to kill former ferguson officer darren wilson. police say the convicted felon posted threats to facebook shortly after the august shooting of michael brown. the threats escalated in late november. saint louis area police union members are currently keeping

watch over wilson. he resigned from the force over the weekend less than a week after a grand jury decided to not indict him for the killing of brown. >> happening today, philadelphia kicks offer the holiday season with a christmas tree lighting event at dillworth park. mayor michael nutter will turn on the lights of the tree in front of city hall. grammy award winning artist evidentstelle will perform. >> looking ahead while we're on the topic how should people dress if they're going to the tree lighting. >> not going to be terribly cold. we have a high today of 53 degrees so it will be dropping a little bit through the evening in the upper 40's but the important point is we'll be drying out in the evening. >> good. >> so i think things will be better for you. you won't need the umbrella. good news there. let's take a look at storm tracker 6 double scan around the region, we can see in philadelphia just a little sprinkle but you can see to our southwest that will be moving through the city. let's go in a little closer to this. it's not very heavy but you get the idea of this is what's going to be coming through. some showers moving through.

you're already getting pretty wet here in coatesville. that will hit malvern within the next 15 minutes and some of the steadier stuff in wilmington will head its way up towards philadelphia right along i-95. let's go on outside. we want to see what this day looks like. we've got lots of clouds, some low clouds in spots but so far not a big problem at philadelphia international airport. we have about 9-mile visibility compared to .3 of a mile in mount pocono. so, while there's an issue on visibility in some spots not if you're flying out currently. 41 degrees right now in philadelphia. even in the lehigh valley in the mid 30's. temperatures rose overnight and that's key because the roads are damp out there and we've got more showers coming through but it's just rain. so it's not a big deal out there as far as any slipping or sliding. and let's bring in our always-on seven day so you can plan your day ahead as well. satellite 6 and action radar showing lots of clouds, some light showers moving through. you could see it's not steady. we get breaks in the action with a few more spotty showers moving through and not everybody is going to see them. so it's not terribly wet but enough that it feels pretty

damp pretty dreary today with that cloud lingering. fog in allentown. we have reduced visibility there to about a mile so lots of clouds even in the afternoon. and a high of 49 degrees. at the shore we have cloud cover along the coastline a little further inland it's not so bad. mostly cloudy skies and a spotty shower at the shore with a high of 52. and here in philadelphia what you can expect, lots of clouds, it's at least milder than yesterday when we were stuck in the upper 30's a few showers and 53 degrees for you high. by 8:00 a.m. it's about 42 with a shower. by 11:00 a.m., 46. by 2:00 p.m., 51 degrees, another shower in spots but we look much drier and clouds are starting to brake by 5:00 p.m. and 52 degrees. let's look at your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast. lots of clouds and a few showers in spots today. they'll be spotty. 53 degrees for your high so milder. finally the sunshine returns. it looks better tomorrow. it's chilly, though, 46 degrees. friday we have more clouds coming back into the picture but it looks like the rain holds off until late friday night. 48 degrees for your high.

so, cool. saturday periods of rain and 52. the weekend is looking pretty wet on sunday for the eagles we have more rain, a high of just 49 degrees so a chilly rain at that. monday staying pretty dreary with lots of clouds and some showers around and 50. looks like we finally break that pattern by tuesday and sun returns. it's drier and 48 degrees. so, lots of showers in the seven day period but no one day where it's constantly raining all day. >> thank you karen. it's now 5:40 and next and new this morning, an unusual animal attack down south sends a woman to the hospital. >> from downward facing dog to going over to sit at the dinner table. fy shows us an event that's good for the mind body soul and stomach. matt. >> drive on 95 pretty good for the drivers so far this morning matt. overnight construction here in the northbound lanes by cottman is clear and southbound no major delays just yet. in pottstown bridgeport and on the new jersey turnpike coming up after the break. >> all right, matt. also health officials in south

of montgomery county often very busy even at this early hour people starting the commute. this is the 900 block there and montgomery is shut down from old golf road to iona avenue eastbound. >> looks like fast signs one of the businesses affected by this fire really raging right now. matt pelman you're the first to mention this on the air here. what's going on with the traffic. >> well it has montgomery avenue shut down as you just said and montgomery avenue a busy stretch in the morning blocked off between old gulph road and brookhurst avenue. we want to give you some alternates. a lot of you use montgomery in the morning. stay up on bryn mawr avenue as a possible alternate. wynnewood avenue to wynnewood road another possible alternate. or i think depending on where you're coming from maybe use route 30 lancaster avenue stay out on the main line there as an alternate around that building fire. and of course we'll keep you posted because that's going the affect a lot of you this morning. also a pedestrian accident we were watching in bridgeport right by franzone's. luckily that cleared out no

need to worry about that anymore. the crash in pottstown along charlotte street also cleared. this construction is far from clear. in fact it's ramping up today. it's the work zone along 422 between stowe and route 100 on the bridge there over the schuylkill river and beginning today, you're going down to just one lane in each direction so they're going to shift the traffic, it's going to cause big delays. you might be better off on 724 for the next few weeks as an alternate. let's go outside to chadds ford and glen mills delaware county where they just reopened the southbound lanes of 202 right here by route one baltimore pike. crash that we had in this area has cleared out so that's some good news but we still have that jackknifed tractor-trailer crash in woolwich township gloucester county along the new jersey turnpike southbound just south of exit two and now they have the right lane blocked but as we pull in the commuter report and use the waze app and zoom in on the new jersey turnpike southbound no slow speeds reported just yet as you head down toward the delaware memorial bridge. tam.

>> okay, thank you matt. new on "action news" a pet siberian lynx attacked a woman. it happened yesterday in any an atlanta neighborhood. the woman was feeding the pet when it lashed out at her. the owners of the animal were out of town and made arrange. s with the woman to care for it. the woman is in the hospital with injuries to her head. the owner has the proper permit to keep this lynx and other exotic pets on his property. >> a person suspected of having contracted the ebola virus is tested at massachusetts general hospital in boston. officials say the patient had traveled to an ebola infected area and had been showing ebola symptoms. the patient is in an isolated area and is in stable condition. initial test results are expected today. however, it could be several days before a diagnosis has been confirmed. there are no confirmed cases of ebola in the u.s. right now. >> happening today, pennsylvania governor-elect tom wolf and his team will discuss the state's fiscal

situation. meanwhile mr. wolf is also preparing for a date with the president. president obama has invited wolf and five other newly elected governors to the white house on friday to talk about the economy. wolf will be the only democrat among this group of governors. happening today, sentencing in federal court for a former philadelphia traffic court judge. robert mulgrew was found guilty of lying to the fbi and a federal grand jury. mulgrew was already sentenced in federal court in august to two and a half years in prison on federal fraud and tax evasion charges. he is one of the former traffic court judges who was found not guilty in a separate ticket fixing case. >> peanut butter and jelly go together, so do burgers and fries but how about yoga and cooking? karen rogers has an fyi for you on a unique event designed leave you full and happy. >> ♪ >> lower inhale. >> reporter: it's a monthly over vendor called yogi's table. >> high planks flat as a board. >> reporter: starts with an hour long yoga class. >> lift up and back.

looking live at the schuylkill expressway where things are drying out this morning and we're looking pretty good right now but if you're out and about during the midday from 9:00 until 3:00 allow me to warn you they're going to be doing construction on the schuylkill eastbound between the vine and south street blocking a lane and absolutely positively causing delays. we're also watching a new crash this morning over in marlton along center boulevard at quaker street involving an overturned vehicle and lippincott drive would be a better bet. you don't like my christmas tree karen. >> it's okay, matt. let's take a look at temperatures in the northwest region. we do have some showers that have been moving through and the roads are damp. we're well above freezing already. temperatures rose overnight so 35 degrees in martins creek, 37 in pottstown and saints david's. in the 40's in center city, 41 degrees isn't looking too bad and 40 degrees in hammonton, 40 degrees in dover. so, it's just rain that's falling at this point and roads are just damp. here's a quick look at your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, lots of clouds today. some spotty showers moving through here or there, not everybody is going to see them. 53 degrees for your high.
