arrest of wayne ellington sr. police arrested carl white who they explain was a career criminal. ellington sr. was shot in his car. he is the father of wayne ellington jr., who plays for the l.a. lakers basketball team. chad pradelli is live. >> reporter: white was arrested on a parole violation but he is now charged with the murder of wayne ellington sr. >> detectives say that the community was key in this case and they received tons of leads and tips and now white is off the streets. >> i was happy and thankful that they finally took this person off the street. >> police say that carl white is the man that shot and killed

wayne ellington sr. on the street last month. a source says he yelled at him and he stopped and white walked up and shot him in the head motive is unclear police say that marijuana is unclear and detectives have not nailed down why ellington there was. they say that white was high on pcp and may have been hallucinating. his son wayne, plays for the l.a. lakers and the family is devastating. >> it's a really big void, christmas will not be the same without him. >> court records reveal that white has a long history of crime, drugs, weapons and other crimes dating back to 1998, police call him a career criminal. and investigating if he is

lining up for the hepatitis a vaccine in mercer county. a worker exposed all the diners to the disease between november 10th and 21st. hamilton residents can get the vaccine for $35 until 8:00 tonight at the firehouse. they have identified a new case in a 77-year-old customer that dined at the right ran three times a week. they found a way -- because of a newspaper truck. 19,000 advanced copies of the "new york times" spilled out of the truck on the expressway to route 202 north, and the driver did receive injuries and t

the best chance is late in the afternoon and saturday night. future tracker showing a half inch closer to the coast and an inch of rain in the northwest suburbs, the good news is this will not be a washout of a weekend and we dry out on sunday and the sunshine is back looking nice for the eagles game, if you are heading down 4:25 kickoff at the link, by the fourth quarter, 41 degrees and it's dry for the eagles game. right now we are on the cool side, 41 in philadelphia and our high was only 45, 4 degrees below normal. allentown 36 and wilmington 38 and reading 36 and the poconos 29 degrees. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we did see some sunshine earlier but the clouds rolled in pretty quickly and the moisture is across virginia and west virginia, all of that slides to the south and misses us however there is a stronger low pressure waiting in the

wings, it's right near albuquerque, and this will bring us heavy rain on saturday and before that we are looking at light rain on friday night. future tracker showing at 8:00 tomorrow morning, leave the sunglasses at home, it will be dry for the morning commute. the atmosphere will begin to moisten up and at 5:00 we are looking at drizzle breaking out primarily west of philadelphia, but this gets a little steadier by friday night at 9:00, generally light rain and the activity is north of philadelphia, then a break in the action and if you need to get your christmas tree do it earlier in the day on saturday and we should be cloudy with drizzle at 10:00 and then the heavier rain is moving in between 3:00 in the afternoon and continuing until 9:00, and future tracker showing saturday at 6:00 we'll have heavy rain and heading to holiday parties, you don't want to forget the
