tonight after "action news" rat 11:00. two vehicles childed in the westbound lane on -- collided on the schuylkill expressway in the westbound lanes near girard avenue this morning. the impact sent the van careening into the barrier which sent pieces into the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill expressway. two lanes were shut down while penndot made repairs. nobody was hurt. a dozen people were sent out into the cold air after a fire broke out. when firefighters arrived smoke wag pouring from the middle row home. it took 16 minutes to get the blaze under control. everybody inside the homemade it out safely. the red cross is helping 11 people who were left homeless by the fire. the wind made it difficult for firefighters in wilmington to battle a blaze to damage five homes. it was sparked in a vacant home on west 4th street after

10:00 p.m. high wind caused the fire to spread to four other homes, two were occupied. the cause is under investigation. nobody was hurt. >> a $10,000 reward is being offered for information on a string of church fires in delaware. the atf announced the reward as they look for who is responsible for setting three churches on fire. healing hands was damaged. fires were set at the chapel on burnite mill road and the mennonite church call 888-atf-fire. the fire bird festival went off after arsonist destroyed the centerpiece. many turned out despite the act and the rain. organizers worked all day to make sure the parade and bonfire would not be stopped.

early yesterday morning, vandals set fire to the 30-foot tall wooden structure that was to be used for the bonfire. word spread of the crime and neighbors went to work rebuilding what they can of the wooden bird so that the traditional lighting could takes place last night. festival attendees say it embodied what phoenix represents. >> the community rose up. >> reporter: the bird cost $2,000 and 4 months to build. so far police have not found the arsonist responsible for destroying the original phoenix. rodney mohammed promiseso bring new stability to naacp.
