nor'easter. stormtracker 6 live is showing that this will about he a rain event. some places could be enough rain so that the potential of flooding existing in parts of the tri-state area. and going next to cec. >> it's getting an injection in the midwest. it steers the storm up the eastern seaboard. that is what pulls in all of the moisture. a double scan showing it's not raining in jersey. some of the rain is heavy. however, today was a cold day. the ground is still very cold. the current temperature in philadelphia, 36. millville, 41.

was washed away by hurricane sandy. take a look at waves come in from behind the building that seems close to the shoreline. i saw a wave as high as that third floor balcony. it's amazing that the building is so close. it survived hurricane sandy. it's going to get worse as the nor'easter gets closer to the jersey shore. the power of mother nature and waves crashing along the shore and strong wind gusts there already has been minor street flooding. it going to get worse as the nor'easter closes in up and down the jersey shore. we get high winds. make sure that everything is tied down and get as much inside. have your basic plan what to do with medications.

a facebook post about the die-in demonstration at the linc prompted an investigation into a local high school guidance councillor. and marykate nyman blankenburg has put on leave. a post on her facebook account reads "if my child cannot get to the eagles game due to the protests i will personally shoot everyone of them. you have been warned. idiots." blankenburg told the intelligenter that a child may have gotten a hold of her post while she was teaching sunday school. the report describes the torture of al-qaeda detainees in

out-of-state college tuition were in court today. they asked to find her parents in contempt because they refused to pay. wenwendy broke the story last month. >>reporter:caitlyn ricci did not speak with her parents when they were arm's length away. they will continue as they both rejected a possible settlement agreement. it gained national attention. today there was no comment with caitlyn ricci outside of the courtroom. inside of the hall of justice there was a battle whether the parents should pay for the estranged daughter's tuition. >> are you still not going to pay? >> that is fine. i am not going to pay. i am not going to give any money until my daughter has as relationship with me. >>reporter:we were allowed to shoot video but not audio of the

proceedings. the judge reconsidered his position forcing them to contribute to the college tuition. >> she is not asking for 100% of the college tuition. they plan to appeal. kaitlyn is asking for a fine of $100 a day until her parents pay which she says she is owed. >> we want to building the relationship back together and the family back together. whereas they are looking for a check. i won't do that. >> it's nice to see she is alive and doing well. when i got emotional and michael got emotional in the courtroom she doesn't have any emotional. >> she loves her parents. but she wants them to support her education. it's been almost two years since they spoken. the parents are meeting with state law enforcements in an

that is the warmest we have been all day. we have been gaining about 1 degree an hour. millville 41. sea isle 46. reading 29. lancaster 313. and poconos 29. we see wintry precipitation as it initially moves in before the change over to rain. the winds are picking up out of the nor'easter. and 18 miles-an-hour at the shore. the winds which be a factor as the center of the storm system gets closer to us during the day tomorrow. we are see showing how the moisture is beginning to converge. it will be strengthening. as it does it pulls in more moisture east of philadelphia. future tracker 6 showing at 6:00 in the morning it's a nasty morning commute. heavy rain east of philadelphia.

you notice some of the blue. that is mixed precipitation in the north-north at the onset. heavy rain to the norths and east of trenton. it moves out by 5:00. tuesday night into wednesday morning with colder air moving in we could see a changeover to snow showers. this is the concern. the far north and west suburbs. brief ice a change over to rain. the poconos first wave 1 to 2 inches of snow. then ice. and more snow as the system pulls out on tuesday morning. this is a rain storm. not a snowstorm. we are looking at at lot of rain. west of philadelphia, 1 to 2 inches. philadelphia and areas to the east. 2 to 3 inches of rain. enough to cause localized flooding. at the shore the winds are an

issue. wind gusts 40, to 50 miles-an-hour. waves up to 10 feet. we are coming off of a full moon. with the winds piling at the shore, moderate flooding is expected. so the morning rush-hour, temperatures in the 30s. a windswept rain tomorrow. at high up to 41 degrees. on wednesday it's windy. as the cold moves in, i expect snow showers to develop. 39 on thursday. the sun breaks out on friday. 44. into next week it should be dry. temperatures in the mid- to upper 40s. tomorrow morning is going to be a mess. david murphy and the accuweather team will be here early at 4:00.
