chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, it's great news. >> reporter: it is wonderful news, you can count on one hand how much sunshine hours worth we'll see the entire week combined. at least a decent amount. let's look at the atlantic city skyline. temperatures are on the chilly side. we're seeing clearing taking place up above. that will lead to sunshine later today. temperature-wise, seasonallably cold. 33 -- seasonable cold, 33 degrees in allentown. 28 in lancaster, 31 in millville. we have a bit of a breeze so the temperatures feel are 5 to 7 degrees cooler. dover, 23. feels like 28 in philadelphia and trenton you have a current windchill of 26.

satellite and radar, there's the huge nor'easter it came running up the eastern seaboard and stopped dead in its traction in new england. you've been feeling the effect of that, we've been dealing with the northwesterly breeze and fairly chilly temperatures. sun and clouds, breezy, high of 42. it's better in the week ahead. i'll have the details in the seven day in just a bit. eva? >> the big story on "action news" this saturday morning is the final farewell to a fall firefighter, funeral services will be held for joyce craig the first female firefighter to line in the duty -- line of duty in philadelphia. she died on tuesday. now, family friend and colleagues will say goodbye. annie mccormick has more from bachelor brothers funeral home. >> a police escort brought joyce craig's family members to

the funeral home. craig leaves behind a 16-year-old son and 16-month-old daughter. >> she managed to balance, job and motherhood. she balanced it very well. i'm very proud of her, i'm going to miss her. >> hundreds of friends, family and colleagues wrapped around the block to pay their respects, they spoke about two joyce craigs, the devoted mother and fearless firefighter. >> loved her job dedicated her life to her job. i respected her a female firefighter? >> she was concerned about all people no matter how would or what color or anything like that, she was just a heart-loving person for all people. >> the decorated veteran of 11 years worked her way up the ranks to her 4th and final station engine 64 in lawncrest.

the fire on middleton street she was working voluntary overtime at engine 73. the first of two viewings begins a weekend of mourning for the first philadelphia firefighter to die in a line of duty. >> i had the pleasure of meeting her at a fire service conference, so it was a sense of obligation to show my support. >> it will go from 71st and broad and go all the way to ivy hill cemetary. annie mccormick. >> there will be several bus detours, septa says the detours will be around broad and 69th cheltenham. the routes affected are 6, 16, 18, 22, h and xh. you can get the full details on septa's website. a man is behind bars

charged with assaulting a grad student walking in the university section of the city. the attacker grabbed a 38-year-old woman at 41st and pine. police are trying to determine if the suspect is the same man who groped two drexel students and robbed and assaulted another student on monday. his bail has been set at $150,000. a handicapped woman was killed when she lost control of the car on the boulevard. the car smashed into a tree and burst into flames in hunting park at 2:30. police tell "action news" several people tried to stop and rescue the woman. no word on what caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle. a man trying to outrun police crashes his car in northeast philadelphia. the action cam was at that scene. investigators say this is where the car went out of out of of c.

he is in critical condition. so far police have not said why they were pursuing the man. several children were hurt in a crash on the schuylkill expressway that left two cars overturned. it happened last night in the eastbound lanes near the blue route in west conshohocken. police say a total of five cars were involved in the accident. three kids were rushed to children's hospital philadelphia, with non-life threatening injuries. a close employee of m knight shyamalan is accused of stealing from the director. it is said she made $15,000 of personal purchases from the credit card while on the job. could be bee will be sentenced in february and tastes up to 7 years in prison. a man from south

section. crews were called out to the 2700 block of west lehigh avenue around 5:18 where they found heavy smoke coming from the third floor of a three-story home located in the middle of the block of the crews are battling the fire. several residents have been evacuated from nearby homes and lehigh avenue is shut down between 26th and 28th streets. philadelphia firefighters are battling this early-morning fire in the strawberry mansion section. avoid lehigh avenue between 26th and 28th street. we'll continue to follow this breaking story on air and online at 6abc.com stay with us.

in "healthcheck," a new study shows most patients who signed up for affordable care act, the only isolated cases of consumers struggling to get appointments. most patients are receiving the care they need even if they have to wait longer and drive farther. 81% of prime rather care doctors in the study say they are overextended or at full capacity when it comes to patients. a disturbing new health report on america's health we're getting fatter and lazier. karen travers has the conclusions of this report. >> reporter: this may not be surprising, last year, americans got larger. according to an annual nationwide report from the united health foundation, one-third of adults are considered obese. >> this organization has been putting out this report for 25

years and in these 25 years obesity has gone up 125%. nearly a quarter of americans say they have not done any physical activity in the last 30 days that's up from last year's report. >> i'm guilty, i have a membership to want gym literally across the street from me, it's a time issue. >> reporter: the statistics show a troubling trend over the past 25 years. during that time the absent dowbility obesity rate doubled and diabetes rate doubled. hawaii comes in at number one. >> it's warm and beautiful, although it's expensive, i think people are very happy they want to go outside and do thing. new england makes a strong showing, vermont, massachusetts and connecticut come in second, third and fourth.
