the red cross is helping the 12 people who live in the home. new this morning, the search is on for a gunman who shot a young man during an early-morning attempted robbery in philadelphia. the action cam was on the scene the 5500 block of somerdale avenue in the assortment ton section of the -- somerton section of the city. during the confrontation, the suspect shot the man in the leg, the victim is in stable condition, the gunman ran off. two people were hurt when a mercedes smashed into their car in camden. the people inside took off. the action cam was on the scene haddon avenue near coke wood street. two people in the car that the mercedes hit were taken to the hospital, one in serious condition, the other was treated and released. officers say several people were inside the mercedes, they all left the scene. rapper and philadelphia native beanie sigel is

hospitalized in critical condition a week after he was shot. sigel whose given name dwight grant was gunned down at a pleasantville home last friday. detectives have questioned a person of interest, and looking to question another person of interest, both of relatives. in a bucks county courtroom yesterday, he was convicted of stealing $2.5 million. she told a jury that he stole $650,000, money that was supposed to to go toward the construction of a second home at the shore. >> i had to higher another build it cost 400,000 to build the house. in total i paid are a million doors for a 400,000-dollar home. >> he was convicted of 27 felony charges. the 59 faces up to 135 years

behind bars. sentencing is scheduled for next week. >> happening today, the u.s. senate plans to hold a rare saturday session after a $1.1 trillion spending package was delayed. the house has passed the bill to give the senate time, president obama signed a law to keep the government funded through the day and prevent a shut down. a vote may not come until early next week. president obama will be making a visit to new jersey on monday, the president will travel to joint base mcguire dix, lakehurst to thank the soldiers for their sacrifice. atlantic city has granted request by revel entertainment to cancel the sale to the

handicap woman was killed when she lost control of her car on the boulevard. the car smashed into a tree and burst into flames near north 5th street in hunting park at 2:30 a.m. several people tried to rescue the woman. no word on what caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle. a man trying to outrun police crashes his car in northeast philadelphia. investigators say this is where the car went out of control at 11:10 p.m. the man in his 30s was trapped in his car. police and medics freed him and took him to the hospital where's in critical condition. police have not said why they were pursuing the man. several children were hurt in the crash on the schuylkill expressway that left two cars overturned. it happened last night in the eastbound lanes near the blue route near west conshohocken. police say a total of five cars

were involved in the accident. three kids were rushed to children's hospital philadelphia with non-life threatening injuries. a close employee of m knight shyamalan is accused of stealing from the director. prosecutors say she made $15,000 worth of personal purchases on a credit card while on the job. code will be sentenced in february and faces up to 7 years in prison. a federal judge will not delay a lawsuit brought by actor tracy morgan. he was severely injured last summer when a walmart truck smashed into his car on the turnpike. roper is not named as a defendant in the case, morgan's attorney argued walmart was

away it hadn't moved that much because it has run into a block. we've seen the counter clockwise bands over the last several days 2k3we9 -- get lower and lower. one day we'll see rain showers and snow showers and rain after that. it's miss he he -- miserable, because the pattern has stalled out over the eastern seaboard. the storm will shift the winds west to east, that means milder weather for us. as you look ahead, high pressure in control, this is a pacific high this time around not a canadian high, it will be chilly today, but tomorrow we'll see the improvement with highs climbing into the upper 40s by the time we get into monday and tuesday with this storm approaching, winds will shift out of the southwest. there's a chance we could touch 50 degrees by tuesday afternoon.

rocking share from a thrift shop. we're taking inexpensive pine and taking it down to 1/8 of an inch thick. we put glue in between each layer and hold the shape. we'll have a piece that goes around the buyer back of the chair. we're repeating the stain process to create the back support. once it's dry, the wood will maintain the shape that we want it to, but it will be thick enough to hold the weight. to finish it off we stain the frame a dark wall net color. we saved over a whopping $400, this custom piece of furniture cost 81 bucks, that's what we call a chair that rocks. for more budget friendly project ideas go to live well.com/knock
