her casket draped in an american flag over the truck of firehouse 64 her home base. friday night her family arrived for the first viewing. she leaves hind a 16-year-old son and 16-month-old daughter. she died battling a fire while working overtime. theyshe was the first female toe in the line of duty. she was a highly decorated ffort firefighter who received citations for her his or his orc efforts. firefighters came from miles away. >> he with didn't know her personally, but she is a sister of all of ours. when one falls we come to support.

>> reporter: the funeral procession will start at 71st and broad and go to ivy hill cemetary. >> there will detours around broad and 69 anticipate cheltenham avenue. the detours begin at 6:00 a.m. the routes affected are 6, 16, 18, 22, h. and xh. a dozen people are homeless after an overnight fire destroyed their home. you can see the flames consuming the back of the home, firefighters were called to the home around 2:00, it took 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control. the red cross is now helping the 12 people who lived in that home. a house fire in darby borough, delaware county has left five people homeless. the action cam was on the scene the 100 block of north 9th

street. flames broke out at 4:50 a.m. the fire went to two-alarms. it took firefighters 45 minutes to get the blaze under control. the fire leveled one home and badly damaged another. there are no reports of injuries. the red cross is finding temporary shelter for those displaced residents. a philadelphia firefighter is in the hospital with minor injuries after battling a house fire in the strawberry mansion section of the city. the action cam was at the scene of 2700 block of west lehigh avenue. the fire started at 15:15 a.m. this morning. it spread to a neighboring house. 6 people were displaced by that blaze. an early early-morning shog in delaware county has landed one man in the hospital and another in jail. the action cam was outside the apartment in marple township. the victim was in the complex's

parking lot when he was shot at 2:00 5:00 a.m. police have arrested a suspect. investigators have not said what led to the shooting. a car in the lot was dajtd by stray bullets -- damaged by stray bullets. happening today, thousands are expected to march on washington to protest police brutality. demonstrators are calling for congressional hearings into the death of michael brown and eric garner at the handles of police. it was that topic that sparked this protest in center city yesterday. chopper 6 was overhead as demonstrators walked around city hall. several dozen took part, traffic was gridlocked for an hour. abc has all the details on today's march in washington. >> reporter: this morning thousands of protesters on the way to the nation rasp -- nation's capitol.organizers gete

55-year-old suspect attacking a 38-year-old woman just after she stepped off a bus on thursday night at 41st anticipate pine. police are trying to determine if the suspect is the same man who groped two drexel students that day and robbed and assaulted another student on monday. his bail has been set at $150,000. new from the overnight a handicapped woman was killed when she lost control of the car on the boulevard. the car smashed into a tree and burst into flames on north 5th street and hunting park at 2:30. police say several people stopped to help rescue the woman, no word on what caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle. new from the overnight, a man trying to outrun police crashes car in northeast philadelphia. investigators say this is where the car went out of control at 11:10 p.m. the man in his 30s was trapped in the car. police and medics freed him and

two others. an argument erupted over money and investigators say johnson planned to ask the couple to move out. 87-year-old man from south philadelphia has lost his life savings in a home invasion. frank cavaliero said the intruder kicked in his door early yesterday morning. the suspect walked out with $3,000 in savings that he just cashed in. >> it took me forever to save it up, nickels dimes, quarters and pennies, you know, i'm not a wealthy man, i may be handsome -- watch your mouth. sigel whose given name is dwight grant was gunned down at a pleasantville home last friday. police are looking to question one more person. a relative. a close employee of m.knight shyamalan is accused of stealing from the director and could be heading to jail. she was hired to manage his home, the prosecutor said she made $15,000 of personal purchases while on the job. she will be sentenced in february and faces up to 7 years in prison. a contractor accused of one of the largest home building fraud in pennsylvania history is hind bars. he was convicted of stealing $2.5 million from area families. sherry landis was one of the 12 victims to testify. she said he stole $600,000 from her, money that was supposed to to go toward the construction of
