montgomery county. >> we are learning details about brad stone and the discovery of his body this afternoon. >> authorities found stone's body about 200 yards from his home in pennsburg, pennsylvania, it was found along a stream, he was dressed in sand colored camouflage clothing and wearing his name on the clothing as well. >> reporter ali gorman, has more on how people are coping but we begin with walter perez live in eaglesville. >> reporter: moments ago the montgomery county d.a., ferman, wrapped up her press conference. it was disturbing stuff, talking about how brad stone stabbed or shot his victims and some both. sources close to the investigation tell "action news" that stone used a sword, falling

on his own sword if you will, wearing camouflage. of course the custody battle, he was embroiled in with his wife played a role in this hole thing, but when asked about the motive she was at a bit of a loss for words. >> we can speculate why and look at the court filings and say he wasn't getting his way and was dissatisfied with that, but there is no excuse, no valid explanation or justification for snuffing out these six innocent lives and injuring another child. this is a horrific tragedy our community has had to endure. as we are all standing here today we are really numb from what we had to go through the past few days. >> before all the questions were answered, many autopsies had to be performed. she gave an update on anthony

flick, the one that survived, he is in serious condition, he lost several fingers and was attacked by a sword or sharp object. they say it was a sword, possibly the same sword used when stone killed himself, the wuns are to his head and hands and he expected to recover but is still in serious condition. reporting live from eagleville, walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. authorities mentioned in the news conference, this manhunt is extremely difficult for people living in the area, especially for those living there or know the students in the school with the young victims. now reporter and registered nurse, ali gorman is standing by with more details. >> reporter: i spoke with the superintendant of souderton area schools, he calls what happens

an unspeakable tragedy and will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the district's history. >> grief counselors were inside of souderton high school mourning the loss of nina flick, a 14-year-old freshman one of six victims that bradley stone allegedly killed. her brother anthony flick say junior at the school and takes classes at the mondo tech career certain and he suffered a head wound and remains in the hospital. a statement on the district's website reads, i share the sorrow of our community members and know we will endure this together. andrea's office of health say this is the large of the crisis they have responsibled to. >> the crisis teams for children and adults, they went to the schools as well as the

reading visibility has dropped down to a mile and in the poconos, the visibility is a third a mile. this is our live view from pagoda in reading, overlooking the lights of reading and you can see with that visibility down to a mile, you can't see anything at all. this is the problem in the overnight hours. we expect area fog to expand in the northwest suburbs as fares the next three hours, we'll have spotty showers here or there and it's all out of here by midnight and temperatures are well above freezing tonight and we don't have to worry about icing in the overnight hours, people are complaining that we don't have sunshine lately and we'll talk about a big cool down in the accuweather forecast. >> thank you setly. a man who disrupted a flight is back before the judge today. robert john coppack says he was

drunk when he gropes women on the flight back in may, once the flight landed back in philadelphia, he was charged with interference with a flight crew and that is a felony. today he was sentenced to five months and community confinement, and he must stay in a halfway house and pay a fine of $50,000 and he must refrain from using alcohol and illegal substances. coppack admitted he was receiving treatment for alcohol addiction. and a fire in a south jersey fire company, chopper 6 hd got to the scene in monroeville, and firefighters had to remove their trucks from the building when the blaze broke out. it was under control quickly without a lot of damage to the building. and late morning headaches for drivers, the cars collided just south of the route 1 exit.

"action news" at 5:00 continues with our breaking news story. the manhunt for suspected killer, brad stone, has come to an end. >> now they can start honoring the victims and healing. >> in pennsburg, s.w.a.t. teams found stone's body 200 yards from his home. it's unclear how long stone had been there, he was found kneeling on the ground in sand colored fatigues, they say he killed himself with a sword strike to the stomach. law enforcement spend several hours staking out stone's home and turned up nothing when they

went inside. nora muchanic spent time in the neighborhood where hill's sister-in-law and brother in law were attacked and there must be a sense of relief. >> reporter: sense of relief indeed. the entire area was on a state of alert for fear that stone would return. now they know that won't happen and everyone can relax a bit. >> he has killed so many people. why? >> that is the questions that authorities will look to answer, after this violent murderous episode comes to an end. the home in souderton where four members of flick family were shot or cut monday remains under police guard only 17-year-old anthony survived his mother and father and sister were killed. >> my uncle got a feen call from my aunt and he is awake and talking just a little bit.

but so far he seems to be doing okay. >> does he realize what happened? >> no, doesn't know nothing. >> counselors are walking around neighborhoods to offer help to those that need it. >> it's normal to feel uncomfortable so we are just hov offering people support. >> people are shocked by the deaths and the suspect is believed responsible for the killing spree targeting his ex-wife and family, some are not surprised that it ended with him taking his life. >> it's not an uncommon outcome for that sort of thing. i'm glad it's over but sad it happened. >> i'm glad it's over and my kids are okay to come home, it's great the community can start to get back to normal. but it's going to take a while.

accusations, the part-time police officer was taken off the streets. >> he was taken out of uniform and off the street back in march of 2014. when the other issue surfaced and he is not a colwyn police officer anymore, he resigned yesterday, and everything was taken care of yesterday prior to the incident. >> reporter: and he remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition, he faces murder charges and the d.a. is saying he is contemplating the death penalty as for the stepbrother that jumped out of the window he is released from the hospital. >> thank you. three young men were killed when the car slammed into a tree in hamilton township, not clear when the crash happened but it was reported at 8:15 this

it's moving on out for areas north and west of town. here is satellite 6 along with action radar you can see the area of low pressure centered over the great lakes and the frontal boundary is moving to the north and it will stay to the north and east and we are tracking this frontal boundary that lifts north and east of our region, and the middle half of our work week, here is the setup, mild and breezy, this area of low pressure is riding to the north at 10 to 20 miles per hour. with the westerly wind moving into the region, we'll max out at 52 degrees in the city tomorrow and that is above average for this time of year. thursday a nice mixture of sunshine and clouds and high pressure to the west and the high sits in our region as we get into friday and into the weekend, the high thursday is in at 44 degrees and windchills in the 30s as we get into thursday and temperatures getting cooler as we get into thursday and beyond. fast forward into late saturday and sunday, there is talk about this storm system as we watch

lets begin in david henry live in pennsburg. >> reporter: the montgomery county medical examiner left with a little while ago with the body. we were here when they converged on 4th street and the body was found down the hill not far from stone's home. law enforcement raced to the scene after word of a body had been found, it was on the other side of the stream where 4th street comes to an end, down the street from stone's house. he was found with a sword or large knife protruding from the stomach, these pictures were taken by a resident that lives nexts to the woods. a van from the medical examiner's office arrived to retrieve it. yesterday the police used a battering ram to break down stone's front door and now it lays at the foot of a
