lets begin in david henry live in pennsburg. >> reporter: the montgomery county medical examiner left with a little while ago with the body. we were here when they converged on 4th street and the body was found down the hill not far from stone's home. law enforcement raced to the scene after word of a body had been found, it was on the other side of the stream where 4th street comes to an end, down the street from stone's house. he was found with a sword or large knife protruding from the stomach, these pictures were taken by a resident that lives nexts to the woods. a van from the medical examiner's office arrived to retrieve it. yesterday the police used a battering ram to break down stone's front door and now it lays at the foot of a decorated

christmas tree, when police failed to find stone at his house, it was concluded he had likely killed himself. the tactical units and s.w.a.t. teams returned today to continue their search. an unnerving sight for residents. >> my son was upset, he was not even allowed to go to the bus stop, he to be taken into school and that our daughter was there right before this happened scared us all more than you can even imagine. >> some were reassured by the police presence. >> i feel safe that things are happening for the right reasons, i will welcome them to come in because the apartment up top there are three accesses and they can go through and make sure there is nobody there. >> we know he was not there now. two hours into the search the searchers found stone's body in

the woods off this road. now residents can relax knowing the kill ser no longer a danger. >> thank you david. lets switch live to walter perez in eagleville where montgomery district attorney, ferman held a news conference a short time ago. what was the thrust of what she had to say. >> we were given a copy of the search warrant, it reads like a horror story, a mother killed and the children screaming and then the family killed. >> the district attorney says that the man believed to have kill aid family yesterday was found dead of cutting wounds, "action news" was told specifically that brad stone killed himself by laying on to a

sword wearing a camouflage outfit. >> he was found in a wooded neighborhood, in the rear of the 1400 block of 4th street tonight was a location that is approximately a half mile from his home in pennsburg. >> ferman described the rampage in which stone attacked his victims including his ex-wife and her family using firearms and/or some sort of knife. the survivor, 17-year-old anthony flick remains in the hospital with cut wuns to his head and hands. >> they were significant cutting injuries so it appears to us they were defensive in nature and that he was fighting off his attacker. >> an ongoing custody battle with his ex-wife certainly played a role in this case but when asked for a motive she was at a bit of a loss for words.

>> this is a horrific tragedy our community has had to endure, we are numb stands here today. >> meanwhile, a survivors funds is established for the stone's young children and they remain in protective custody and the courts will decide with whom they will stay. bradley stone's picture still hangs on the wall tonight inside of the landsdale american legion, where he was a member, those that knew him there paint a different picture. >> he was always doing things to help the club, the members and the service men, he was always helping us out which never led to to believe he would do anything against the law let alone that. >> he completed his service in 2011 with the rank of sergeant.

kenneth moton is live at the emanuel lutheran church in souderton, where they are beginning a vigil for the victims and sole survivor of the attack. >> so many here are focused on the search for bradley stone, now that is over it's time to start the healing process, people including family members and friends of the victims made their way into the lutheran church for the 6:00 p.m. hour long vigil. it's start to describe what this community went through, even though stone was targeting family, there was a threat to the community. schools were affected and people were told to remain vigilant. four victims, the flicks lived here in souderton. patricia and her husband, aaron and their daughter nina, killed.

anthony is in the hospital still, after we know he tried to fight off stone. >> the flick family was a second home for me and a lot of kids in this community, and they were just great people, they took me in and they helped me out and i just love them dearly and anthony i love you brother and i'm praying and i know you'll make it through this. >> as we take a live look at this church we should mention a go fund me account is set up for survivor, anthony flick, it has already reached more than $7,000, again this community vigil will last until 7:00 p.m. we are live here in souderton, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you kenneth. of course we'll continue to cover all aspects of this murder spree, we are bringing you live video as the updates happen and new details as they break.

keep checking back for updates at 6abc.com. three people suspected of attacking two gay men in center city philadelphia will go on trial. at a preliminary hearing, a philadelphia judge ordered kevin harrigan and katherine knot and kevin williams to stand trial on charges including aggravated assault. authorities say that the buck county trio used gay slurs before beating them on october 2nd. the defense argues that both parties played a role in the confrontation and sexual orientation was not an issue. and now radnor township police came one a sting to bring in people with arrest warrants. sara bloomquist is live with more in wayne. how successful was this operation?

>> reporter: police were pleased to pull this off and with the outcome, people that passed through wayne may have noticed a store front with bureau of unclaimed funds on the door. people came there looking for money they thought they were owed and instead they found police officers waiting for them with handcuffs. >> this is a woman named kristin silk being placed in handcuffs, because she was wanted on a warrant for dui, but before this arrest, police in delaware county couldn't track her down and dozens of others wanted on open warrants, so they got these people to come to them. >> there is greed now in the air with christmas coming about. >> police rented the store front here at the 100 block of westland caster and put a sign on the door. and then sent a letter to 46
