philadelphia, 33 degrees, allen town, 31. 27 in dover. millville, 31. lancaster, 0 with the slightest breeze out there with windchills in the upper 20s this morning. here's the satellite and radar, we have a batch of cloud cover over the delaware valley now. a little bit of a break across the delmarva. more clouds approaching from the southwest that rolls in today. call for today, cloudy skies, a few peeks of sunshine, 38 degrees. a light breeze out of the west/northwest. we should reach 38 degrees around 3:00 p.m. gray skies throughout the period, 6:00 p.m., 35 degrees. looking ahead for the weekend, it's quiet over the weekend. an unsettled pattern sets up for monday, christmas eve looks like a mess, rain not snow.

williams was there. >> reporter: the man who organized this is actually the grandson of a former philadelphia police detective. this started on facebook with a post he put out for a rally he calls way overdue. a different type of demonstration compared to those held most recently. mayfair residents took to the streets not to protest police, but to support them. >> they give up their lives. >> reporter: donald garvey is the main organizer. >> this message is pose tissue, we don't want to focus on bad cops, bus there are bad cops and racist cops we're here for the 99% who are good. >> reporter: hundreds appeared with posters. >> let's make it heard respect our police. >> reporter: all ages taking a moment to thank the men and women in uniform for all they do.

overat chop. police saying this was a peaceful demonstration. mayfair, sharrie williams channel 6 "action news." >> four people were killed in a fiery crash in the poconos. two cars collided in carbon county. four people never made it out. two other people were hurt in the wreck in the 1600 block of dairy road. pennsylvania state police are investigating what caused the tragedy. in delaware county, a man crashed his car and landed on train tracks it happened in tinicum township after the driver left his job on the night shift at the nearby ups facility. police say he lost control on the curve on hog island road. the car rolled over and landed on the csx track also that run along the -- tracks that run alongside the road. a woman is fighting for her life after being run over by her

own suv at the jcc center in somerton. the 46-year-old woman was picking up her children when she got out and the vehicle began to roll. she tried to stop and was knocked over and trapped underneath. her chest was crushed. she also is in critical condition at aria torresdale hospital. action cam was on the scene of a crash west hooden field road. two people were taken to the hospital for treatment. no word on what caused the accident. the victim of a hit-and-run has died. brian scales has hit by a volvo station wagon at 59th and market street. the father of two was deaf and likely never heard the car. the vehicle was found, but no charges have been filed. a fundraise begins at

>> a bus carrying students damaged a pizzeria in queens in new york city. 15 kids were on the bus, they are all right. the bus driver a pizzeria worker and two cab drivers were checked out at the hospital. four people living above the pizzeria are in a shelter. a homeowner in tempe, arizona used an iphone app to spy on her dogs. the camera caught a burglar wandering through the home. she saw it from her work computer and called 911. the caper took an odd turn. >> the dogs are there and he gives them dog treats. police corralled the suspect. they say he it was trying to steal an xbox. apparently the dogs were

the man was lying dead in the alley. a man was shot in the chest, medics were working to revive him as they took him to the hospital. the gunfire broke out around 10:30 last night. the police are searching for the shooter. no word on the motive. wilmington is on the brink of an all-time homicide rate. take a look at this missing man. police say 69-year-old harold hurd was last seen mid october at his home on the 1600 block of north 8th street. police say a family member reported him missing this week. last seen wearing a white and black suit and gray tie. else missing the two fingers on his right hand. if you know where's contact police. a bucks county man is facing legal trouble for making a false report during the search for bradley stone earlier this week. authorities say that report wasted a lot of resources and

"action news" reporter, anne-- and has the details. >> reporter: police say luke sanderlin caused panic in the community and cost taxpayers money because he said he saw a dangerous man in the midst of a manhunt. he diverted manpower in the hunt for bradley stone. bucket county district attorney said it brought numerous agencies away from montgomery county where they thought he was hiding. hospitals and neighborhoods were put on lockdown. >> it caused an enormous amount of and he knows, anguish and anxiety, and some very real risk also. >> reporter: sanderlin alleged while walking his dog, stone approached him. he called 911 claim the dog bit stone and fired off three shots.
