in just a little bit. children are rally for social injustice and police brutality. the target near our 6abc studio. that plan to stage a die-in. i'm hearing in 30 minutes or so, which could disrupt traffic. the call to "action news" was led by 8-year-old. protesters have been staging the protests for the recent grand jury decision not to indict two split police officers in the deaths of two unarmed black men. a big rally gathered in support of police. "action news" reporter, sharrie williams was there. >> the man who organized this is actually the grandson of a former philadelphia police detective. this all started on facebook with a post he put out for rally he called way overdue.

a different type of demonstration compared to those held recently. mayfair residents took to streets not to protest police, but to support them. donald garvey is the main organizer. >> we don't want to focus on any bad cops, there are bad cops, racist cops we're here for the 99% of cops who are good. >> hundreds turned out with signs and posters and strong opinion also. >> let's make ourselves known we draw the line we respect our police. >> reporter: all ages take a moment to thank the men and women in uniform for all they do. >> they do so much and sometimes you don't understand how much that means to our city. >> reporter: there have been hundreds of demonstrations across the country in protest of law enforcement following the

deaths of several black men at the handles of police officers, but organizers here say this rally is not in response to any of that. >> it's just a neighborhood, the neighborhood of mayfair and our friends getting together to let the neighborhood police that the neighborhood and the community backs them. >> reporter: philadelphia police stood watch insuring everything went well. even though the demonstration was in their honor, they say they came here to do a job. >> they have a viewpoint, just like the protesters we've been dealing with for the past two weeks have their viewpoint. we're here to insure that there's no property damage and no one gets hurt. >> reporter: in conjunction with the rally, dozens of toys were collected for the children over at chop. police say this was a peaceful demonstration. mayfair, sharrie williams channel 6 "action news." >> philadelphia police are questioning four people about the death of a man whose body

was found in an alley. the four claim the 24-year-old man tried to get into their home on the 6100 block of vandyke street in tacony. three men in the home approached the man, exactly what happened next is being sorted out. by the time the authorities arrived the man was lying dead in the alley. a fiery crash killed tbowr in tbowr -- four people in the poconos. pennsylvania state police are investigating what caused this tragedy. well, today is super saturday, and experts say it could be the biggest shopping day of the year, even bigger than black friday, that's because christmas fall also in the middle of the week this year. millions of last-minute holiday gift buyers are rushing around on this final weekend to get their shopping completed. sales are expected to soar to

>> reporter: police say this man luke sanderlin is responsible for a hoax that diverted police away from the monday manhunt of bradley stone allegedly wanted for killing his ex-wife and five family members. bucks county district attorney dave heckler said it brought numerous agencies away from montgomery county where they say stone was hiding at an apartment complex in doylestown. hospitals and neighborhoods were put in lockdown. >> it cost an enormous amount of expenls and anxiety and risks. >> reporter: sanderlin said stone walked up him and demand his the keys 0 to his car. the motive, attention for financial gain to raise money for an alleged medical condition. >> we're contending that
