good afternoon, sara bloomquist is off and in the news, a man is shot just two blocks from his home in south philadelphia. the lucky reason is he expected to survive. and a gift for local drivers, the new jersey gas station driving less than $2 a gallon today. but the big story is the wet weather affecting travel plans as people head out for the holidays, rain and low clouds are causing delays at the philadelphia international airport and flights are canceled or late elsewhere in the country and one today's rain clears out there is another round on the way and is expected to linger on christmas eve. lets begin with meteorologist, karen rogers at the "action news" big board with the latest from accuweather. >> that is right. stormtracker 6 live double scan showing no rain out there right

now, just a little touch of drizzle we are currently dealing with and that is it. and the issue is the fog, that is still plaguing us, for this hour in the day, 1.3 mile visibility is a big deal. 1.5 in reading and wilmington 1.3 in wilmington and 1 mile visibility in atlantic city. that adds to the gloom out there that we have been that will stay with us for at least 24 hours, lets look at the travel weather, we are not the only area of kevin, in philadelphia, one hour delays because of the low ceilings, when you look across the board rain in atlantic, we may see flight delays and newark, 87 minute flight delays. and today is not the worst of the weather days, tomorrow we get the heavier rain, today it's just the low ceilings that is

delays at this point as karen mentioned. most are on schedule at this time but that is expected to change tonight because christmas eve is tomorrow and the weather is expected to turn for the worst and travelers have been incentive to hit the roads. aaa is predicting 98.6 million americans will travel 40 miles or more, the biggest upward trend in five years and tumbling gas prices is the primary reason, the national price stands at $2.55 that, is 69 cents than a year ago and that marks the lowest prices we have seen in five years. coupled with the fact that airfare fell 16%. and air travel is expected to rise 1% from last christmas with

channel 6 "action news" a 33-year-old man is recovering after being shot on his way home from a store this morning. one bullet hit the man in the back and narrowly missed his spine. the victim managed to run two blocks to run for help and investigators found three shell casings on the scene, five people were forced out of their home overnight in darby, the blaze started in the two story house on gulf road, the red cross was called to help the family displaced by the fire. a fugitive wanted for a rape wanted since 2010, alberto suarez is back in philadelphia, police say that he is suspected of raping a woman back in 2010 as she was waiting for the bus
