good afternoon, sara bloomquist is off and in the news an elderly woman goes mszing on christmas, what we know about the grandmother last seen in montgomery county and two workers are hurt during a pizza store robbery, details on this heist caught on camera in philadelphia. >> and the big story say hit and run that leave a woman dead on her 90th birthday, police say that a vehicle slammed into her home in buck county early this morning, the driver left the scene and the woman later died. john rawlins live now with more. >> reporter: a sad bizarre story, these tire tracks on the lawn tell much of it, you can see where a vehicle jumped the curve and plowed into that house, that is where the 93-year-old was asleep and her son caring for her picks up the

story. all of a sudden the whole house shook. just shook. i said what is going on here? and i saw a screaming truck goes away from me. >> ron was in the front bedroom and he ran to the back bedroom where his mother, jenny was. >> and i go back there and there was a dresser ready to fall on top of her and the cold air was coming in the wall, i picked her up and put her into my bedroom, the next room over and there was warmth in there. >> jenny was frail and only 58 pounds and in hospice care and he moved her bedroom in the warmer room. and he thinks that this hastened her passing. >> today was jenny russo's 93rd birthday, the petite woman that

there is bright sunshine in wilmington and conditions are staying mild this noon, for the latest, lets go to our meteorologist, karen rogers, in for david murphy. how was your christmas? >> great thank you, wonderful. nice to be outside today, gorgeous day, bright sunshine and blue skies and a breeze and temperatures are above where we would normally see, 43 currently in martins creek and quakertown and 46 in pottstown and 45 in coatesville and 45 in kennett square and center city, we started off this morning on the cold side with windchills in the 20s and we rebounded nicely and 47 in browns mills and hammonton 48 and 48 in dover delaware. look going out there today. normally a high in the low 40s, we are above that and climbing further from here. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we have clear skies and high pressure is in

jared avenue on monday night. the workers were punched and kicked after they said they did not have the code for the safe. they took money from the registers and headed north on west girard avenue. a montgomery county family is desperately searching for their 94-year-old grandmother, stella was last seen yesterday, she was suppose to drive to a relatives house in gilbertville to celebration christmas but never showed up. police think she is driving a dark blue honda accord like this one. montgomery county police are asking anybody with information to give them a call right away. the new york city police department is on high alert this afternoon, after new threats of violence against its officers, abc news correspondent has the

latest now from washington, d.c. >> today new york city police are investigating what appears to be a disturbing new trend, a wave of what appears to be serious threats against police officers. authorities are looking into 40 cases of people threatening more violence since two officers were killed in cold blood last weekend. many of the threats turned out to be empty but there have been at least six arrests. in one case a man was overheard at a bank saying they should have killed two white cops not a hispanic and asian and was overheard saying he would kill a white cop before christmas. across the country demonstrators angry about police shootings of black men did not rest for the holidays. >> police were out in force in the suburbs of missouri, and there were protests in cleveland

the dew point is down at 29 and the wins are west northwest at 8 miles per hour. and the pressure 30.82 inches, it was cold out there, 27 degrees was the morning low in millville and 34 in philadelphia and the windchill was in the 20s, 29 in allentown 31 in reading and 30 in mt. pocono. we rebounded nicely, normally we say in the low 40s, 47 in the city and 49 in millville and 48 in millville. temperatures running cooler than yesterday but very nice. satellite 6 along with action radar showing hardly a cloud out there. you see the clouds to the north and west and we have high pressure in control and bringing us sunshine out there, looking pretty good, lets look at temperatures throughout the day, 3:00 p.m., 50 degrees, sunshine and a few clouds and we'll dip

slowly after that, by 9:00 p.m. 41 and it will be another cold night ahead, but the afternoons have been nice and that is because of this high pressure, today we have mild conditions with high pressure in control and tomorrow the high shifts to the east and it will get even more mild, you can see the front to the west, not a lot of moisture associated with it but it will come through on wednesday and change things a little bit. the first day of kwanzaa is nice and 50 and sunny and today we stay mild, a high of 52 degrees with sunshine on saturday, on sunday we feature more cloud cover and some rain early on and it doesn't look like a lot of rain and at this point it looks like the morning hours and 50 for your high, we are staying mild and monday it stays colder with a high of 43 degrees, lots of cloud cover on monday and
