>> breaking overnight an air asia plane has disappeared overseas. right now a frantic search is on for any trails of -- trace of the airliner killing more than 150 people. we have information on what the pilot did after take joe. details just -- take off just ahead. a hit-and-run victim is rushed to the hospital. philadelphia police are looking for the vehicle involved and have questions for the victim because of what was left behind. penn state has won a bowl game after the sandusky scaldings. let's go outside to chris sowers. >> reporter: we have a few spritzes and sprinkles. we're already in the 40s some areas are pushing 50 degrees at this 7:00 a.m. hour. flipping it over to storm tracker 6 live double scan,

heavy weather pushing through northern new jersey into man manhattan. in delaware valley, we have lighter shades of green. every now and then you can see the yellows there we're zoomed into upper bucks and montgomery county south of the lehigh valley. route 100 and route 222, 78 seeing wet weather. that's the last of it. there's a batch pushing through now, we'll catch a break in the morning hours another batch pushes through by midday. we'll catch a break and there will be another batch. it will be on and off throughout the afternoon. it will not be a steady soaking rain. 44 degrees in philadelphia. it will not be snow. allentown, 42. millville, 46. dover, 50 degrees, sea isle city 47. beach haven showing 47. forecast for today we'll see cloudy and mild with showers on and off 53 degrees is your

forecasted high. normally we should be around 42. yesterday we topped out at 56. again, we just continue this mild trend. this is all going to come to a screeching halt as we get into monday afternoon. it's only 17 in omaha. 32 in saint louis. 36 in cincinnati. the cold arrives tomorrow and sets up a colder week next week. i'll have the details in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast when i step back inside in just a bit. >> breaking news, the search for missing air asia plane overseas. 150 people were on board when the plane vanishinged our time. we learned new information. contact with flight 8501 was lost 42 minutes after takeoff from juanda international airport in singapore. the crews requested a deviation due to area.

that request happened before communication was lost. it is not known if the plane had satellite tracking devices on board. a search and rescue is underway involving indonesia singapore and malaysia. singapore air force and navy are searching with two c-130 planes. air asia has never lost a plane before and has a good safety track record. according to an air ratio i can't statement on board the plane are two pilots, five cabin crew and 155 passengers including 16 children and one infant. among the passengers three south correspond korean also. and one from singapore and france. there's no indication that any americans are on board or that the plane's disappearance is linked to terrorism.

"good morning america" will have more coming up at 8:00 a.m. we'll have another update in the next half-hour. developing overnight philadelphia police are looking for a hit-and-run driver and the vehicle involved. they have questions for the victim. after finding a ski mask and a gun that has been slid underneath a parked car. the gun and masked came from the victim who is now in temple university hospital. he was struck at the intersection of with it kerr arena wyoming -- w4eu9 kerr -- w4eu9 kerr and wyoming avenue. a police delivery man was robbed near the scene. the robbery suspect was wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun. the hit and run victim will be questioned about that, is of now he is not accused of that robbery. >> he was a new york city

only 7:14 a.m. winds out of the west at 6 miles per hour. the poconos in the 40s. trenton, 43. millville, 46. dover, 50. salt light and radar there's round number one racing off to the northeast. new england is getting wet from that. round number two in pittsburgh, and charleston west virginia. it will not be a washout, it will be cloudy and damp and occasional shower but not a wash. there's another system that will develop across gulf coast states that will push toward the northeast. the bulk of this will miss us to the south and work out to sea. it is this time around the cold air is a little bit too strong and bully its way into the region. it will bully the pattern. bismarck 14. omaha, 17. wichita, 18. that system is pushing like this as the cold air racing down from canada. chicago, 23.

temperature today only in the 50s, right chris? >> reporter: that's right it's going to be another mild afternoon around the delaware valley. we'll see clouds today. yesterday we had sunshine temperatures close to 60 degrees believe it or not in parts of the area. today a little bit different. we'll see clouds and showers, yesterday's high, 56. today we'll top out around 53. normally we should be at 42. the numbers are well above average for this time of the year. we have a nice, little pattern change starting monday. there's the cold right there. it is only 14 in bismarck, 17 in omaha. the jet stream will finally shift. we've seen the jet stream looks like with cold air out to the west. nice and mild ray long the eastern seaboard. now things will change, the jet stream will look like that with the cold air spilling down from

damp temperatures on the mild side. when i step back inside i'll talk about 9 colder changes in the seven-day forecast. >> chris thank you. it has happened again a plane has disappeared in the skies over asia. right now a mystery is getting ever deeper about the whereabouts of a missing air asia flight and the 150-plus people on board. 8501 lost contact overnight. the plane had taken off from indonesia on the way to singapore two hours away. there was no duress signal from the cockpit. storm clouds were a concern for the crew. >> the weather radar showing big areas of red which means there was violence from the storm going on. so it does look as though the pilot requested alternative tick routes. what has happened and possibly it's only speculation at the

moment it might have been hit and might have gone down. >> minutes ago indonesia said the air search has been suspended fortnight. some boats are still looking. >> reporter: most of the people on board the flight are indoe in -- indonesian. at this point where the plane is and what happened is unclear. ceo a air asia tweeted thank you for all your thoughts and prayers we must stay strong. this video was sent into "action news" from an overnight crash in north philadelphia. it happened on the 700 block of knorr street. the driver was speeding when he lost control. the vehicle hit a tree before plowing into a front porch column and landing on the roof in the front lawn of the home. nobody in the house was injured. firefighters worked to free the driver and female passenger from the mangled car.

she is in critical condition at einstein. the driver is in stable condition. there was a development in last week's hit-and-run in bristol, bucks county. the medical examiner said jenny russo died of natural causes not saturday of a crash of a truck near the home. the driver went to police and is free. the coroner said the death was brought on by end stage lung disease. the crash happened on her 93rd birthday. a huge crowd surged streets in queens new york city for the farewell of a slain police officer. remain wraim was remembered by -- rafael ramos was remembered by colleagues and dignitaries. the tributes took to the area. >> reporter: a sea of blue and ocean of grief by the tens of thousands fell officers came to
