quick changes over the next couple of days. the warm front pulled through we saw a miserable saturday around the delaware valley. lots of rain and fog, as we look at the center city skyline you can't see the skyline because the fog has reduced the visibility. periods of rain in parts of the area. we'll zoom into wilmington area, you can see shades of yellow representing heavy downpours going up and down, i-95 and 295 from swedesboro to woodbury. another zoom will take us farther to the north in the phoenixville area, same thing rain is coming down from phoenixville to norristown. all that rain is moving quickly from southwest to northeast. on top of that we have fog out there. some of the visibility has been reduced to less than a mile. not only do we have the rain, but we have the fog it's making

delancy street in west philadelphia. investigators say the killer was driven way in another vehicle by an accomplice. there is no sign of another suspect the getaway vehicle or the gun. thousands of police officers are expected to attend today's funeral for wenjian liu a new york city police officer who was ambushed in his patrol car. wenjian liu and rafael ramos were gunned down overnight by a man at the time off by the killing of michael brown. his funeral arrangement also were delayed so relatives from china could attend. some philadelphia police officers and other officers from the area are leaving to attend. >> shane montgomery's family is preparing to say farewell to there cherished son. the young man's body was pulled

from the schuylkill river yesterday ending an ago nice sunrising -- agonizing five week search. kenneth moten has more. shane montgomery has been found his body discovered fully clothe in the schuylkill river saturday before noon. his cell phone on him. >> today we have done what we have promised. we have found and brought shane home. we want to thank every for their support and prayers and love and continue to pray for our family at this trying time. >> reporter: shane 40 days ago after a night out with friends. he was last seen leaving kildare's public around closing time and stumbling across the bridge toward the river near the business. last month divers with the garden state located shane's keys in the water saturday they found him a half mile away ten feet away from the schuylkill

behind manayunk brewing company. >> where he was he was about waist deep, there are holes that are 7 # feet deep. not real deep. moving current. >> reporter: loved ones watched the drivers work. >> we became family with his family it broke us all down, because we were all out back when they brought shane up it was a shad situation. >> reporter: the investigation is just beginning. police forces say there are no obviously signs of foul play to his body. those who followed the search came to the river with so many questions. >> where would he have gone, what happened to him? that's the big question. >> reporter: even though the schuylkill had been searched divers say scouring the large river was a tedious process.

ship has been rescued after the ship ran aground off the southern coast of england. it began listing after hitting a sand bar near the isle of white. the vessel registered in singapore left south hampton ton for germany. it has a large number of vehicles on board. cooler conditions are helping hundreds of firefighters who are trying to contain a massive fire that forced thousands from their homes. dozens of homes have been destroyed and officials fear another 20 homes are gone. it is summer and hot and windy conditions have fanned the flames. several firefighters have been treated for minor injuries including smoke inhalation. no other injuries have been reported. in cincinnati hundreds turned out for a candle light vigil to honor a transgender teen who took her own life.

here's rick williams. >> reporter: the start of the new year is not easy for the evening of patrick coyle senior. it's been two years since he was struck and killed on city avenue in the wynnfield heights section. it happened at 2:30 a.m. tuesday, january 1 2013. the driver fled the scene. coyle's son described him as the life of the party. >> funny guy easy going help out, loved helping people. really good sense of humor. >> reporter: witnesses of the accident were only able to give police a vague description of the vehicle saying was a gold or silver four-door does an. there's a 6,000-dollar reward that reward will go to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. anonymous tips can be given at

>> a house fire in wilmington injured a firefighter and killed a puppy. flames shot from the home last night on the 200 block of west summit avenue. a ffort was treated for a minor injury and refused to go to the hospital. the dog was pulled from the home but could not be saved. no word on what sparked the blaze. in montgomery obama a veteran was laid to rest seven years after he was declared missing in action. the remains of peyton mattis junior disappeared 44 years ago. his surviving family members say this was an unexpected blessing. mathis was laid to rest with full military honors.
