washington d.c. the warm front you can follow it here by following that blue outline. it's pushing this way and all that warm ocean air will move inland from the east to the northwest. the cold front will approach from the west and knock this out to sea. that's when the big changes arrive. there's the cold front right there knocking on the door in pittsburgh just to the west now, same thing with buffalo. the air behind the front is significantly colder than what we're dealing with today. for the remainder of the afternoon, cloudy skies and areas of patchy fog showers are possible throughout the afternoon. 63 degrees is the forecasted high. normally we should around 41. later this weekend weekend be 20 degrees below average. i'll talk about in the seven-day forecast when i come back in just a bit. >> right now mourners are saying their final farewell to a new york city police officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty. >> there is a live look at the

funeral for officer wenjian liu in brooklyn who was married two months ago. his funeral arrangement were delayed is relatives from mine in a could attend. buddhist monks will lead the services followed by a police funeral. david henry joins us outside the fraternal order of police headquarters in the northeast. good afternoon david. >> reporter: good afternoon guys, there were 100 officers who went to new york to pay their respects to officer wenjian liu and to stand shoulder to shoulder to other officers from around the country. >> it's show our solidarity, not only to the citizens but more importantly to the officer's family. >> reporter: about 100 philadelphia police officers boarded buses at fop headquarters and headed to brooklyn where funeral services are being held for wenjian liu.

he and his partner remain waim were shot and -- rafael ramos were shot and killed in their patrol car before christmas. the execution-style murder sent shock waves throughout the country. it hit hardest with the law enforcement community. >> we wanted to show great support for the new york city police department and the family. >> reporter: this is the second time in a week that the can only continue gent has -- contingent of police officers made to the trip to new york for rafael ramos. that included officers from south jersey who gathered in a parking lot in belmawr. they headed to brooklyn and hours of standing in the cold and just to be there for each other. >> it represents the brotherhood of police not only nationally but world w50eud. i worldwide. it hurts all of us when one of us has fallen.

scott said he survive because of the love and support of his two teenage daughters. a man suffered serious injuries after losing control on wet roads in camden county. police said the man flipped his car and landed in a reservoir. it managed to climb out of the car and climb on top of the vehicle. firefighters used a ladder to help him off the vehicle. he was taken to the hospital in stable condition. police in south jersey are looking for a person who set off an explosive device in a mail box. it happened on sequoia drive in cherry hill. police officers and fire crews arrived after they received a 911 call. video from surveillance cameras in the area is being checked to see if it might have been captured the suspect. >> one brother is behind

bars -- one prisoner is behind bars after he escaped from a wernersville correctional facility by setting off a fire alarm. hostetter was behind bars for robbery and martinez for burglary. shane montgomery body was found in the schuylkill river. montgomery disappeared in the early morning hours of thanksgiving day after a night out with friends in manayunk. his body was found less than a mile away from the bar where he was last seen. of an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. annie mccormick has reaction to the news of montgomery's body being discovered. >> today we have done what we have promised. we have found and brought shane

the action cam was on the scene of north deli street. the 49-year-old driver was speeding when his car smashed into a parked carat 3:45. when firefighters reached him they found he was shot in the chest and pronounced at the scene. police found a bullet she will in the car. homicide detectives are trying to determine where the shooting actually tombs and who did it. a limo driver is shot and killed in west philadelphia and police thunk a marriage he picked up -- a passenger he picked up pulled the trigger. just after 7:00 p.m., the 25-year-old driver was shot in the head on the 5400 block of delancy street in west philadelphia. the driver's girlfriend was with him. she was not hurt. cash and cell phone was taken from the limousine. the philadelphia police say with all homicide there's a 20,000-dollar reward for information leading to an arrest. funeral arrangements are being made for 21-year-old shane

montgomery. his body was discovered in the schuylkill river this weekend ending an agonizing five-week long search. kenneth moten has more. >> reporter: green ribbons and flyers have been a fixture in manayunk for the missing west chester student shane montgomery. now shane has been found. his body discovered in the schuylkill saturday before noon. his cell phone still on him. grieving roxborough parents were there. today we have done what we promised. we have found and brought shane home. we want to thank everyone for their support and prayers and love. and continue to pray for our family at this trying time. >> shane disappeared after a night auto with friends thanksgiving morning. he was seen leaving kildare's public at closing time and stumbling across the bridge toward the business. last week, divers located

shane's keys in the water. saturday they found him him half mile away. >> where he was was about waist deep. the center of the river there are holes 8 feet deep. not real deep. moving current. >> loved ones and their pastor and the employees of the brewing company watched as the divers worked. >> we became family with his family. it broke us down, when they brought shane in it was a sad situation. >> reporter: the search is over, the investigation into how he died is just the beginning. there are no obvious signs of foul play to the body. those who were following the search came to the river with so many questions. >> where would he have gone what would he have done what happened to him. it's the big question. >> reporter: divers say scouring the river was a teed -- tedious

the west. at that point it will set up a cold week for us in the delaware valley. all week long temperature-wise we'll stay below freezing. snow is flying across the great lake states this afternoon. quiet through the southern tier part of the nation. the high plains nothing going on, as well. everything out here along the eastern seaboard squall line developing toward florida none of that makes it here, it will push off the coast. it's very quiet but cold chose across the high plains. 6 below in bismarck. 24 in chicago. 43 in cincinnati. you can see how the numbers just drop off the farther west we go. all that cold air is pushing east. now the last several cold shots we've seen they have gone down into texas and suddenly bounced back up into canada. we won't mills out on -- miss out on this cold shot. we could see a round. thunderstorms developing along the coast southern sussex county
