new developments in the murder of a limousine driver this weekend, details on the bracing news story coming. >> the search continues for more of the wreckage of airasia flight 8501. details on what some believe may have brought down the domed flight in a life report. the big story on "action news" is the day in court for accused cop killer eric frein. >> the preliminary fathering hearing in underway accused of killing one state trooper anticipate wounding another. frein was brought into the courthouse in pike county flanked by flifers as -- police officers as he entered the building. chad perdelli has more on the prosecution's case. >> reporter: frein walked into the pike county courthouse he had a different look than what we saw the last two months. the real talk is the state police surveillance video that captured the ambush, it was

troubling and played in the courtroom. eric frein walked into a pike county courthouse frail and pale and clean cut. inside the courtroom he salt stoned faces a the district attorney played disturbing video of the ambush. it shows corporal b -- brian dixon being shot first. trooper alex douglass ran to help his wounded friend, but he was shot. another surveillance camera captured douglass trying to get himself into the state police lobby. troopers pulled douglass to safety. they worked to save dixon who was outside the building. widow tiffany dixon sad solemn inside the courtroom watching

year it's feeling like january outside and tomorrow we could see snow. sky6 live hd taking a look at a blustery cloudy center city skyline. chilly temperatures and gusty winds will greet you when you head out today. hold on to your hats. we could see peeks of sunshine this afternoon and tuesday the first snowfall of 2015. for that let's check in with david murphy at the "action news" big board. >> reporter: let's talk temperatures first yesterday we got up to 60 degrees in philadelphia. this morning at 1:00 a.m. we were at 48. i talked about how the temperatures would take a plunge and they have. we're at 39 degrees. because of a wind coming out of the northwest we don't expect numbers to bounce up, in fact they will gradually settle. there's the windy. 26 miles per hour, you can see how it's coming out of west/northwest that's colder air that's being drawn in today. when you combine the

temperatures with that wind you're getting windchills that will make it feel raw. 27 is what it feels like in philadelphia right now. the low 20s in allentown and reading and windchill in the teens in lancaster. not much better down the shore if you have plans to be out the rest of the afternoon. you have to bundle. there's the possibility of snow, as you look at storm tracker 6 live double scan, you can see the snow associated with a fast-moving clipper system is way out in the dakotas and nebraska and coming into kansas. this clipper system will shoot across the country between now and tomorrow morning. and eventually some of the snow you see out there will make it here. if i take a quick look at future tracker 6 you can see there's the snow in omaha it's charging across the country and there's the 1:30 view. when i come back we'll show you model runs and future tracker 6

gun. two deputies in an unmarked car were fired upon at 3:00 a.m. in orange county, florida. k-9 units were used to search for the suspect. investigators believe the shots may have originated from a nearby home. passengers aboard an international flight arrived in san francisco after spending nearly 30 hours on the plane. they had to sit inside the plane for 12 hours before taking off due to heavy fog in the united arab emirates. then they had to fly 16 hours to california. >> everybody was fighting with each other and the flight attendants were fighting with us and we were fighting with the flight attendants.
